I have all of the five coins you mentioned in a book from 1959 to 1975 and I put them in there in 1978 so they look great. I have the 1962 and 1962 d that are definitely 67 plus more like 68. I think you mentioned the 1964 or 74 but I have everyone that you mentioned in great shape. Thanks so much.

I actually have quite a few of those beautiful coins. 2)1960; 2)1961; 1) 1962; 1)1964; and several other 60's. Dunno if 1974 is that desirable, I have over 150 of those also.

I am relatively new to this. Can you explain how to submit a coin to PCGS for grading. Also, how do you sell it through Heritage Auctions?Maybe a subject for an upcoming video? It would be nice to see a video of how to proceed once we find one of these coins and want to sell it. Thank-you.

Less than 1% of all submitted coins reach a 67+ grading, this is an actual fact!
Your odds of finding a 67+ in circulation is 1 in hundreds of billions!
I started collecting Lincoln cents as a hobby hoping to sell and possibly trade and just enjoy the history of them..
I quickly found out unless a coin is graded no matter what it is ,is worth 1 cent..
These videos don't tell people that side of collecting, a collector WILL NOT TOUCH an uncertified /ungraded coin..
I have probably 50+ error coins and they have absolutely zero value because they're not graded..
I have tons of 1920's -2020's double stamp Lincoln cents, odd alloy, toned, ect and they have zero value outside of just being a cool part of history...

Love the sixties, born in 62 and I have every year of penny you just talked about what are the chances shawn that I have one in mint quality, I can only hope. Thanks again for the awesome info you pass along.

    • @donnahuffman145
      @donnahuffman145 Год назад

What is the difference between mint, proof and uncirculated? Wouldn't proof and uncirculated be the only ones you could call mint condition? Seems if it were in circulation or pocket change as they say then how could it be in mint condition rolling around and hitting other coins. Let alone preserve the color you're speaking of from the 60's. The oxidation alone over 60+ years would taint the coloring.

I started collecting coins during the Pandemic and I feel in love with the US Lincoln cent!! I was going through my Pennie’s and you wouldn’t believe what was staring back at me! I had just watched this video and in my hand was a 1961D Cent with the rare mint mark known as the RPM D over horizontal D! Somewhere I read that only 3 were known but I’m not sure what that meant…. 3 still in circulation or 3 known to be part of a collection? That’s just the tip of my problem. I need to prove that it would be against all odds that 2 - 1961D Cents with identical mint errors could be found in our little one-horse town on the coast of Oregon. The chances are slim, don’t you agree? Maybe I was dreaming this all up, but I looked at this coin all night the day I found in my can of Pennie’s under my micros cope. Then a couple days later, it disappeared. I’m so sick to think that a friend took it I haven’t been able to sleep. But a couple days later, this friend sent me a text. It said.. “Look what I found!” along with a picture of what I know to be my coin. I can’t prove any of this, but 3 people that I considered to be friends have been the only people that regularly stop by to have dinner or just shoot the breeze. They have all been very quiet and distant which is odd.
I just need some background on this coin and how rare and valuable it actually is. If, in fact, that particular coin and mm could be (or was) a coin that would help me as well as my close friends and family.
I want to thank you, Shawn, for being such a great collector and teacher for newbies like me. I’m 70 years young and love coin roll hunting and your Monday Pocket Change Reports. That is exactly where this coin came from…my can of change. At least I believe I had that coin in my hands! It really will be the highlight of my hobby but, hopefully, it won’t be the last find I have. Thanks to all your viewers …. at least the ones who take the time to read this novel!

I made the mistake of telling 2 people about 2 nickles I found in a jar of change. Each worth $3500+. I studied these coins for days to make sure I was seeing what I was seeing and felt confident. I mentioned my find to 2 people close to me that I made an appointment with our local coin shop to have expert eyes view these coins before having them graded. First thing the next morning, I opened the cabinet in my bedroom where the coins were kept, and they were gone. I found the bag outside in the table on our deck, inside put and empty. I am 100% positive that my husband's friend took the coins as he was the only other person aside from me and my hubs that knew about those coins. That jerk went into my bedroom while I slept and robbed me!!! I decided to never mention my coins to others again. A few months later, I discovered that the so-called friend had also been hacking my devices as I used my phone camera to take pics of coins that I was examining. Last month, I had some coins disappear when we had a relative stay with us. Now I have a double locking safe securely bolted to the floor for my coins. TRUST NO ONE.

Bought a bucket of change from a friend who needed extra money and was going to take them to Constar 🤮 So I bought per pound, ended up being about 1200 pennies, 140 quarters 300 nickels and a few stacks of Kenny's and some nicely kept 45s-50s in a little box thing. Although I found a few DDO/R's on some MS looking coins the jewel I think is the 1947 in what I believe at least 67+. Comparing to the ones PCGS has registered mine has less scratching as well as perfect wheat stocks (theirs seem to all have a nic on them somewhere). I have a few more buckets and some mint/PR sets to go through befoer another send off but its looking good from the people ive shows a t the shops and dealers around. And it was going to a coin star 🤣 glad he asked me for a ride.

I have no idea why it says "Only 2 known of each type! When my husband was a boy he collected all of the above! For everyone who wants to know..
    1960 NMM (P) MINTED
    588 MILLION
    1960-D MINTED
    1,580.8 MILLION
    1961 NMM
    756.3 MINTED
    1961-D
    1,753.2 MILLION
    1962 NMM

    1962 D MINTED

    1964 NMM MINTED
    2,652.5 MILLION
    1964-D MINTED
    3,799 MILLION
    So here's the numbers!
With this many printed the only thing he's going by is the (color grading)color of the coins is a BIG FACTOR
and ALSO THE SHAPE THE COIN IS IN MS67-MS68. Those would be some serious
good graded change since it only goes to MS70. Everyone will have to draw their own conclusions or spend $$
    And have them professionally graded!
    Hope this helps!!

I was subscribed on my other phone but I noticed I wasn't subscribed with my other phone but yea great videos..I gotta say I really like your channel by far than the other 4 pretty well known channels when it comes to helping coin collectors like myself and many others....no I don't need any free stuff lol but your a good man to help out you do and I've learned the most from channel by far.... The right pace for me and very thorough explaining as much as you can ...😉 Figuring out a lot more after nine years of collecting coins small collection a dealer got over on me and the second really good collection conservative estimated value fifty Grand got stolen so now this is my 3rd attempt and I've got over 300 Penny's now a few quarters a couple dimes and right now I'm watching your videos trying to figure out the easiest ones to sell on eBay good tip by the way adding the shipping price in with the value of the coin and good pictures..... See for me little things like that is all the help and gifts I need through your channel..... I got a pretty good 1972 double die obverse looking at but I don't think it's the fs101 or the top one of the variety with the small protrusion coming out of the back of the 2 and actually it's got some doubling on all of it looking at it real close it's a pretty good find pretty high mint red Brown and I've also got a 1988 which has a crack going through the whole side of the penny front and back going through the left side of Lincoln's head so I'm thinking it's some sort of crack maybe punched too hard but it's a pretty significant crack so I'm going towards have to check with the value on that one plus my full red wheat penny collection I'm looking through but I'll find a
few to put on eBay with really good pictures and the method you were talking about adding the shipping...but anyways I don't comment a whole lot but your channel is worth it👊👍✌️You and your significant others have a blessed day and I wish the best of luck come yours and yalls way and Thank you again sincerely one of your dedicated fans Patrick 😎
