In Australia influencers are banned from promoting anything medical related, even down to certain vitamins and workout supplements etc, this attitude needs to be taken on by every country...but at the same time what parent in their right mind would take medical advice from an influencer
I wasn't aware of this law! How do they get around it with plastic surgery? The amount of influenceners I've seen documenting their surgery process is nauseating and you'd probably be aware of the surgeons losing licenses for filming the surgery and posting it on tik tok! Terrifying. I nearly passed out watching the episode of A Current Afair on it and how many people have nearly died from BBL's, liposuction etc.
As it should be! I cannot believe that this is legal in most countries. There is a documentary about a woman slipping into an ED by consuming diet-shakes with very little cals. And a lot of influencer promote plastic surgery, unhealthy weightloss or scammy-health products. Terrible :/

The fact that she’s paying her kids is so irrelevant. One why are children working. Two children don’t have the mental capacity to understand the consequences of sharing such personal information and promoting certain things so even if they want to do it, as a parent you should not allow it.

Kids shouldn’t get paid unless they do jobs for other people (ie babysitting a relatives younger kid, walking someone else’s dog); housekeeping for your own home ain’t a job and being exploited for views definitely shouldn’t be one either.

It applies to healthcare professionals, me disclosing my own health Information is not a HIPPA violation. Depending on exactly what she is filming in the doctors office, it’s unlikely to be a HIPPA violation. It’s more likely an invasion of right to privacy but the US doesn’t have that as a reasonable expectation.
Honestly this is one of the very worst "family" channels, for real. There are so many truly awful scammers and grifters on YT who only care about the money, and I just wish there were better laws to protect innocent minors on here!

I've been trying to work up the courage just to watch one as another tuber says a curtain is not a fourth wall shelf beds aren't I just watched before watching this a family of 10 kids that as long as you aren't a teen you can sit up the oldest is at that age and they made a bunk for the toddler at the foot of their bed and you have to put sawdust in the toilet after going seriously why hasn't cps been called on this types of families

Now she's endorsing asthma medication by using the middle child's medical problem to make money off of. I hope the middle child gets most of the money from this ad seeing SHE is the person they focus on (although I doubt it), because without her, they would not be making any of this money from the asthma med. I did not pick up on the fact she doesn't even take the med ... great catch. About the kids being on social media and not ... I think the older child didn't want to be on social media, but the middle child did not mind (at least I hope not).

That's pharmaceutical advertising in the US. No one who is in the commercials ever takes the medication. Is it wrong? Sure. But I can't say that any ad on TV is different really from the one they made. They're not inherently worse for that. I will say, they've done a lot else that I have issues with, but the companies and the US are the ones that need to be held accountable here. Come watch live TV for an hour in the US and you'll see it's not that different from the ads on TV.
The only promotion for pharmaceuticals should be very vague "hey get your flu shot this year!" Not like "get this specific flu vaccine from this specific brand because i said it was the best because people are paying me to".
