As an non-Indian it fascinates me how a top notch actor like Sahid doesn’t get enough praise, guy like Ranbir Kapoor is under appreciated because his father was a actor, nepo thing. And guys like Varun and Ranveer Singh, Salman Khan are mega stars. Hopefully, Indian taste when it comes to an act in an acting changes over time and actor like Sahid Kapoor gets their due and applauses ❤

That’s not his lack of ability. Good movies make superstars, audience won’t go see a superstar if the movie is bad. unfortunately shahid never got great movies that were super hits and would make him a superstar.

Doesn’t matter whether the same makers are remaking it or someone else. The story, character and scenes are being Re-attempted. Kabir singh came pre pandemic hence it worked, post pandemic era has proved remakes won’t work coz audience would have probably seen the same stuff on ott. Jersey, Bhola, Vikram vedha, etc. are perfect examples. There is only one original that came first. Well you need to look into what you define as “original”.
