1:19? that’s incredible great job dude. love the addition of beet juice, NO is the best. i like to load up in beet juice in the days leading up to a race or harder effort like a KOM
Running my first half in June! I have never been a runner my entire life. At 37 I found a new found enjoyment out of running! Have been training consistently and my goal for the first one is to finish! My first full marathon will be in October of this year! Looking forward to this as it will be a great accomplishment ! Soaking up the knowledge out there! Love your videos keep up the great work! 💪!!!
I’m also 37 and running my first half marathon May 13th. Ive only recently started running back in July of last year and have really only started running 4 days a week since January. My goal is to finish under 2 hours
@@user-Patriot1776 thanks for the support.. I had a blast, I would've have hoped for a bit of a better time but lesson learned for the next one. I finished at 2:23
That’s insanely fast, I only started running in mid September last year, and went for my first half marathon on the 3rd of December, finished with a time of 2:13 even with a swollen ankle My best training run last week was a 2:01 half marathon on the 1st of Jan I beat my PR again yesterday, with finishing time of 1:54:01, surprisingly felt like an easy run to me 😂 Hope I can get a sub 100min half marathon one day 😂 My current running shoes rotation are: Asics Magic Speed 2 Pegasus 40 Adidas Adizero Boston 12 (haven’t worn these yet)
He made it wrong which is why. You’re supposed to cut it the long way, going with the banana. Not the way he did. Then it fills the entire surface of the bread and is delicious
@@RJS152 the banana chunks were far too large, so the bread to banana ratio in each bite was not optimal. A far better mouth feel and overall flavour could be achieved by thinly slicing the banana onto toasted bread that already has a layer of honey, for a more satisfying, carb loaded experience. Simply breaking the banana into inch-long pieces is, to put it bluntly, the incorrect method.
i am collecting marathons and ultramarathons. sice 2020 round about 55-60. and i eat what ever i can find. sandwitch, sausage, fries chess with waffles or a burger. when u ran 60km u need calories. much calories. and when they taste good the run feels good. next weekend i will do a 100km run. ca 7500-8000kcal
60 days out..doing my second half marathon. My first one ever last year 1:49min I want to try to get to 1:30 that’s the goal. What should I be doing next 2 months? Thanks man! Congrats on your PR!
Jeeze! I got up, drank some water then...showed up, same-day registration, chose the trail 1/2 marathon vs. The 4mile endurance loop (peeps went 30 miles), 2000 ft of elevaton and....well....should have prepped better;)
Hello, I love the fact you run your ass off and look as if you eat real food. I will never be a long-distance runner, but I will get up and get out, just walking and trying to jog a little. Thank you so much. What shoes would you recommend for a beginner and & price is reasonable?
I run half marathon last week. Didn’t have anything before the race and during the race fuelled with two gels and half of a banana. Finished around 1h49m. Maybe I should improve my diet for the next run.
Dude has a much stronger stomach than me. No way I could eat and drink that before a half and all those gels in a half. I normally had one gel in a half and regularly ran faster than his PR. Whatever works for you. I would be in the port-a-john by mile 4 if I ate and drank that stuff.
Everyone is different.....the lad who I train with eats very similar foods to Jeremy and does HM in 1:32.... for me though ...cudnt stomach all that....I even once tried a gel during a run...lets just say had to divert back home for the toilet lol I tend to have on the day...say 3 hours before peanut butter on toast....nd take down some water
I also did a half marathon yesterday. I have nearly 1 month of endurance training and before the race I ate 3 slices of bread. Thats it. Worst idea ever
I'm training for my first half marathon. It took me an hour to run 6 miles. Seeing his time makes me wanna drop from my half marathon I'm gonna look ridiculous 😂
Comparison is nothing more than an exercise in mental masturbation. Don’t compare, relate to the process. Time is relative. Don’t quit and Just keep moving. 👍👍
This comment is old but I did my first half yesterday and up until a few months ago I’d never run at all.. there were all kinds of people doing it around my pace, young and old. I do a 10k in 1:10 so I wanted to make my half in under 2:30 and I did. You can do it :)
That's a great time. Imo, all you need is the banana, sour dough bread and honey and beet root juice. If you are properly nourished before the start, you are not going to run out of glycogen stores during a half marathon unless you are really slow.

Everyone saying he’s eating too much is so funny!! He finished with 1:19, that’s impressive as can be. Clearly what he’s doing is working.
Yes, 1:19 is a great time. But you can't say that he ran that time due to eating what he did. He might have run faster if he'd eaten less 🤷🏻♂️
@@Dmasson14 As if someone who is able to run 1:19 would not exactly know his body and how to eat before a race.
Yes, he overate and would of ran faster if he ate less. I ran a 1:23 with one bagel before race and one gel at mile 8, at age 61.
Absolutely 💯. Jeremy is legit!

Same here. I felt that in my kidneys 😅
Yeah but to be far he’s running like 13 miles at an intense pace so
Tried It in the past....had my heart rate shoot upto 192bpm...felt extremely dizzy during my run
Bro, I just had Bannanna/honey/bread and beet juice this morning. Must be doing right things then
Taste like dirt drank it like a champ 🏆

What sodium and electrolytes do you use?? Great work

A gram of salt and more electrolytes on top of that. Bro was wired after that alone🤣

I can tell you eat to train rather than training to eat based on how you chonked that banana up and ate it on some dry sourdough damn dude
How often did you rehydrate during?
What brand of beet juice do you prefer?
Great!

how can you train for it to do at least 1 hour 30 minutes?

raw bread???? you didn’t toast that sourdough???
Sounds extremely excessive for a half marathon. A proper breakfast and one gel at 40 minutes in should do.
