David Dawson takes us on a deeply moving journey with Four Last Songs. Richard Strauss’s song cycle is a musical masterpiece, often described as a poignant farewell to life. Underneath a glimpse of the heavens above, 12 dancers unite in Dawson’s poetic style to the music’s lush, lyrical melodies, ushering in a feeling of serenity, eternity and the sublime.

Exquisitely, devastatingly, passionately, poetically beautiful- all of it, the music, the choreography (from what I can can see even here in excerpts probably not synced exactly with the music) and the concept or inspiration behind the choreography, and the brilliant gorgeous dancing of these dancers here who are meeting and feeling it all soulfully. Very special. Loving the aesthetic, the lines and even the expressive hands and fingers which I sense is choreographed- but met brilliantly by the dancers. I would love to see all of it. ❤🙏
