    Renault’s group sales outside of Europe in 2012 set a record, climbing 9.1% to 1,279,598 units, thanks to the launch of new products and the company’s aggressive efforts to expand its strategic markets, particularly Brazil, Russia and India.

    The Renault-Nissan Alliance is a strategic partnership between the French Renault (based in Paris) and the Japanese Nissan (Yokohama). Alliance sells 10% of cars sold in the world. Strategic partners since 1999, Renault and Nissan sold in 2012 to 8.1 million vehicles in more than 200 countries. In addition to its partnership with AVTOVAZ, the Alliance has strategic partnership agreements with various manufacturers such as Daimler German, Chinese Dong Feng or Ashok Leyland.

    i think , i have no more to add . you are right for one thing , we must force renault to be at the top everywhere and not apologise an error , especialy for the security and for the customers : the reliability .
    i m not the boss of renault otherwise your comments ( and in UK ) would be so much interesting for me ! what a job to improve our (of renault ) reputation in UK my god ....

    i m surprised , do you know why ? because i own a renault 19 ( RN 1.8 liter ) ( of 1993 ) and ... oh surprise ? (for you ) , my car has no problem for the control technic . i have bought it in 2005 for 2000 euros . it starts at the first time each days ! it s very reliable , i promise . i maintain it normally and it s cheap compared to a new car . it s why i don t understand all these comments about the reliability of renault .

  • @stephen10.

    even the low cost mark of renault "dacia " is reliable because they use the pieces already made reliable since years !

    i understand that the historic reliability of renault is not perfect ( and others trademark neither , rover , chrysler fiat lada etc ... but when the progress is noticeable we must recognize it . (we have started a heated thread here !) it s fun

    during the control they watch a lot of points , pieces of the cars , if the more important points have a problem ( security problems ) the car fails to the control . the car must be repared and to do a new control .
    taux de contre visite means : rate of failure (the fails to the control ) when i write " number of vehicule FAILING " i mean number of vehicules who fails to the technic control and forced to be repared .

    These arent "my" stats. They're universal and the majority of them are in agreement: Renault has an extremely poor showing for reliability, despite renaults claims to the contrary. My goal is to change that. It became personal for me when they started affecting Nissan and it is my goal to hit both of these companies where they hurt until their reliability is THE BEST in the industry. So i will continue to highlight the FACTS about renault's horrible reliability until the facts say otherwise.

    i m not sure that public don t buy renault ,see the stats for the world !
    Despite growth in emerging economies, Renault’s total group sales decreased 6.3% to 2,550,286 units due to the prolonged sales slump in Europe. Excluding Russia, Renault group’s European sales declined 18% to 1,270,688 units as the overall auto market in the European Union tumbled to its lowest level in almost 17 years.
    2.5 millions renault sold in the world for 2012 is it nothing ?

  • @Mabeylater293
    @Mabeylater293 11 лет назад

    The oxymoron is obvious to anyone who reads that link. "Dacia is reliabke because of Renault" - is what thatthat paragraph you posted is essentially saying. So its not only relying on Hard data from older cars that have Proven unreliable, its making a bold prediction based on hopes and some customer satisfaction survey. For all we know the average age of the car being surveyed coukd have been 6 months old. Nowhere near long enough to asses true longterm reliability.

  • @stephen10.

    you don t know really the alliance nissan -renault in 1999 nissan sold 2400000 cars and in 2012 5 millions ( X2 ) . in fact renault doesn 't own completly nissan (45 % ) and nissan owns 10 % of renault . the partnership is in the both sens .
    if nissan has had a lack of reliability during some years , this problem is well known by them and they have already done the correction ...

    Perhaps. But potential buyers arent willing to gamle thousand of dollars of their hard earned money on nissans improvement. Nissan will have to prove their improvment in reliability before owners believe it. And thats going to be pretty tough, as it should be, with Renaukts bad reputation hanging over Nissan. Buyers woukd do better shopping from a CONSISTENTLY reliable brand that has proven its reliability status time and again like Honda or Toyota.

    No my friend, CLIO is better, initially and barely. But as a whole, Toyota far outshines renault in reliability. I realize that you're looking for anything to cling to but as stat after stat shows, Renaults horrible reliability history is well documented.

  • @stephen10.
    @stephen10. 11 лет назад

    for exemple for the renault clio III (3) they put all of them (built in 2005 -12 ) in the same line .
    for exemple line : 73 , renault clio III (3) , rate of failure during the control 8.38 % , number of vehicules controled 262335 , number of vehicule failing 21989
    262335 / 21989 = 8.38%
    for exemple line 96 toyota yaris 9.31% , 120062 / 11179
    just see that the toyota yaris is worse than the renault clio (3 )

    "the bad rank for Renault.....". These are your words. Finally i have successfully made my point with you adding your own admission. Thank you. Like ive been saying, Renault has a horrible record, and wise buyers will do best to avoid them and anybrand they influence.

  • @Mabeylater293
    @Mabeylater293 11 лет назад

    Once again you have a Customer satisfaction survey from JD power which fails to incorporate long term reliability. Audi and BMW's long term reliability record is not good either. While Audi showed signs of improvement in the Consumer Reports mag, their long-term reliability is still wanting.
    The platitudes of "nissan alliance's proven technology" means nithing when the reality is that Nissans reliability has also suffered at the hands of Renault.
    Dacia, like Renault rate poor longterm.

  • @Mabeylater293
    @Mabeylater293 11 лет назад

    Chrysler's reliability is near or at the bottom TOO. JUST LIKE RENAULT!

  • @Mabeylater293
    @Mabeylater293 11 лет назад

    As yiur own post shows, despite the emerging markets ( unsuspecting markets where people have a low familiarity with Renaults horrible reliability) sales were still down 6.3%. That slump showing itself in markets where Renaults stinch still smells. That same stinch has found its way to Nissan as well. Many once loyal Nissan owners after having Enault influenced reliability issues un common to pre-Renault Nissans are vowing never to own a Nissan again. Renault was laughed out of the US before.

  • @Mabeylater293
    @Mabeylater293 11 лет назад

    I now see the link. Without knowing how far back the reliability report spans per model, i cant tell if im looking at long-term reliability. Nevertheless, this site supports what ive been saying all along, If the lower the % means better reliability, then Renault is very unreliable. With an exception of a few models, the vast majority are downright atrocious. Thanks for sharing.

    Renaults crash worthiness isnt being discussed here. Their horrible reliability is and your apologetics regarding that. The majority of stats, the majority of owners on Renault forums, renaukt and even you have spoken the same message in that Renaults reliability ranks extremely low. Buyers would do well to avoid them and to spend their hard earned money on brands that are far more reliable. Even Renaults claim of imorovement fails long-term tests per the links i posted. Renault best avoided

  • @Mabeylater293
    @Mabeylater293 11 лет назад

    With the vast majority of their rproducts ranking at the bottom, and their brand as a whole consistently STILL rating at the bottom, with the 2007 Laguna showing such a poor showing after 3 years in the link i posted, Renault is finding its horrible reliability record is still very real. When renault says their goal is to make cars that last 300,000 km (190,000mi) in the years to come, thats really sad considering other brands have been doing that and more for years. Renault is best avoided.

    Renault's shares the BOTTOM spot of reliability with the brands you mentioned. Thsat does nothing in excusing Renaults. Nor does their distance from "perfect" warrant mercy. You may act as an apologist and as such your dissmisive issues that plagues renault's reliability shows no regard to the vast majority of owners whose issues translated to breakdowns, wasted money, frustration, near death acccidents. The models like Laguna 3 have failed the 4-5 year test significatly per my link.

Manufactures whined " the test is too extreme", "it dosent represent real-world crashes", "it would cost too muchto implement (needed safety measures)", "it passes the majority of other tests" Al the while people died until the market and the competition FORCED improvement. Given renaukts proven horrible track record and mercedes still shaky reliability, that A class is not destined to age well in the long run. Like i said renault and any manfaucture for which they have any partnership with should be by past in lieu of brands that have CONSISTENTLY stood the test of time in the reliability department. Honda and Toyota lead the pack.

    LOOK AT THIS REPORT OF AUTO EXPRESS UK about DACIA reliability
    .autoexpress.co.uk/dacia/sandero
    One of the big advantages of being a Renault subsidiary is that Dacia has access to its pool of proven technology - including engines, electronics and safety systems. All Sanderos come as standard with ABS, traction control, stability control, ISOFIX points in the rear and four airbags. Dacia is realistic about the Sandero’s Euro NCAP test results, though, and it recorded a four-star score.

    This car is ideal, if you just want a basic cheap SUV of auto trader used and second hand for run about and scores cheapest SUV for it age since 2013 to 2019 on record sales of second hand used cars. For the price, l would save up and buy a Hyundai Tucson SUV as it lot spacious, reliable on 2WD standard that feel like a 4WD and practical good on any road. With this car, it is good for short journeys and shopping but not good for large families and long commuting. If you see a range like this, think of it like a cheap flick movie romcom and that you are a French female cruising down local street waving to you girls in this car. For tall men my size and weight then consider this not to be durable as it small, snabby also give you mates wrong impression of you personality. Meanwhile this ride is really good for any female drivers that enjoy shopping, also putting baby in the back seat chair but other than that then l won't bother for myself because had one and didn't last long after 12,876 miles in one year it needed two full services and costs weren't cheap also spent more time being in garage partially rest of one month in a year due to issues with electrics, steering out of place and radiator pipe repairs aren't cheapest when SUV get flushed just over genuine pipes overheated and corroded due to my long journeys with a correct full top up of engine coolant. If anything, these brand cars belong to young female or male students just wanting a short and cheap ride to get around city or town driving. Only plus side is, the boot space is reasonable good and handles great around bends but that about it as of because fuel costs this car barely reach 320 miles on full tank as after every one day and half l am back down fuel station which is expensive after one month. I tried them all, my last four cars were Renault Capture 2013, 2014, 2015, 2019 and yet still have same issues as previously stated above, yep more radiator pipe bursting or corroding also needed two services from all long journeys in my diesel 1.5 Captures l been doing regardless which is just insane. Even mechanic dealers said mate, you want something bigger and that is more practicable for you long commuting because it just will cost you more profit. It took me awhile till l slept on it and finally gave in then agreed with mechanic, so incase you wondering fellas then stick with a stronger and a lot bigger car SUV for price range as serious men of buisness also working class need a ride that feel practically safe for our dignity also give a good drive for cost with no issues maintaining, servicing or refuelling. My new car now is a Hyundai Tucson 1.6 2016 model and for it old age hasn't run me down or failed after 10,465 miles counting which only need one year full service and get you as far as 428 miles on full tank of diesel or petrol. After four years of part exchange and buying new Capture each year to finally learning more about Capture hidden issues, then all l say is bloody brilliant thinking from top Renault!

    Speaking of formula one, Renaults shoddy reliability leaves its smear their as well. Search "Renault in formula one wiki". Once their, search fir the word "reliability" and look at the continues reliability issues that brand the Renault image. As i have continued to say, Renault has a long history of unreliablity both on and off the track. Their cars and any other brand they influence
    ( dacia, nissan, mercedes, samsung motors, etc) are best AVOIDED.

    Show me. I'd LOVE to see who Renault paid to gloss over their truly horrible reliability record that they have consistently accumulated over the years. Renaults cars CONTINUE to be laden with problems, breakdowns, and expense. Renaults philosophy of cheapening at the expens of reliability is their management trumps engineering attitude at its finest. Their cars are pure trash.

    A reliability HISTORY is the onky way to measure a manufacturer's true commitment to reliability. If a company consistently produces cars that lasts 20+ years with few problems, it means a lot more than a comanpy whose reliability falls off a lot early despite the strong initial showing. Case in point Renault laguna 3 on your link has a (years unknown) of 3.98%. Yet this link shows it ages horribly after 3 years

    2010 - 30th out of 32
    2011 - 33rd out of 35.
    Which? (like Choice Mag) also puts them at the bottom.
    Consumer Reports rated these American Renault in fluenced models all POOR: Renault Alliance, Dodge Monaco, Eagle Premier, Eagle Medallion.

    and for the reliability of dacia LOOK THIS ( AN ENGLISH WEB SITE HONEST JOHN ) w w w.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/dacia/sandero-2013/
    i put the speech if you can t see it :
    "When it comes to reliability, Dacia really excels. Every model is extensively tested, primarily so that they can cope with the tough terrain and weather extremes in far-flung destinations, from Colombia to Iran or soon, even the Scottish Highlands. "

    Continued
    You dont judt look st the stats. Your pst shiw that you look and ignore the stats. You also ignore the oeople on Renault Forum uk, you also ignore the consistent low ranking Renault as a whole has garnished year after year. You do Renault owners no favors doing this. Renault has no incentive to improve with folks like you cheering on and ignoring their poor quality. Thry will keep producing trash if especially if you keep asking for it. Up your standards and your expectations.

    2007 Renault supposedly started its "emphasis" on reliability. Yet in 4 short years, the last three vehicles for the most problems are all Renaults.
    So yes when Renault screams "look st us we've improved" its smoke and mirrors. It will take TIME to see hiw Renaults AGE before their reliability record even has a chance for improvment, not what they "claim" they've improved on. Talk and shallow "stats" are cheap.
