It's nice to see all the different ways killer robots will be able to move in the future, it's gonna be much more impressive than terminator.
@@Cestdelamerde Lits all work on that shall we 🤔🤖🤖🤖💩☠
All they need is something to stick a person with Novichok and a way to track a particular mobile phone. A swarm of small drones like that would be terrifying
As a drone pilot you are so fuckkng right. We’re gunna die so cool
That’s why you should get into fpv, learn how to build drones, further the hobby into autonomous flight like ardupilot, and BOOM now YOUR the evil genius.
no doubt
I can't wait for the dystopian future where I'm running in the forest trying to escape a swarm of killer drones
all I gotta say is, start skeet shooting now
dude can you even run now?
I can wait for that
You won't be running very long.
🤔 ask the Russians. 😊
"...this one can actually chase you down with ease."

Skynet is proud of our work.
Innit? smfh... great technology, damn impressive tech on display there... we are all so collectively fucked :D
shotguns and skeet shooting is relatively cheap 😎
@@Serialkoalano match for dozens of swarm drones, gonna need an emp of sorts to neutralize their cpus
I very appreciate that you are reviewing actual prototypes, because they are representative of where the tech is actually going. I rarely watch these 'game changing new technology' videos because they only talk ideas, computer graphics and far reaching fantasies, without any concern to the practical part. Thank you!
That 'game changing new technology ' videos annoy me so much,
They'll say things like this material is 10,000 times stronger than titanium, million times lighter than helium and cheaper than human life but there has been just a theory from 2 research assistants in a small university 😂
I agree with you, majority of these game changing technologies are done for idiots by people who has no idea what they are talking about and I am not an engineer or something, so my bar is already low.
This one is exception and it was actually interesting to watch and listen.
Those kinds of videos are made for LinkedIn investor types, not normies unfortunately.
I now avoid anything that says it is "Game Changing". The only game is getting views. Hey, I just did a "Game Changing" left hand turn at an intersection. That means I used my turn signal. @@justanerd414
most that bs content is for people like and elon musk and his simp followers. hyperloop, p2p rocket travel, mars by 2024, i could go on.
The tech is scary.
Being able to network each drone means you could have a basic onboard system, while the computation power is elsewhere, and you can reduce the size of the unit to very small, yet have very many units to perform many tasks at once.
This would mean you could have a group of drones scouting the area for targets, another group defending the main group from being detained and a third group engaging the targets found by the scouts.
Seeing we already arm and engage military targets, being able to shrink the size means we can put more of them into the area and take out a military unit of soldiers, or just target the command personnel while leaving the lower ranks alive to surrender.
The possibilities are endless...
i mean each drone could just "sting" people with chemicals either for capturing or k1lling them.
You would not be able to out run them and there are so many. they could send these in and take out anyone on foot.
So essentialy edge drones?
@@eonreeves4324 Nothing an assault rifle or even better, a flame thrower couldnt deal with...

Having thousands of cutting edge tech drones used on search and rescue would be save more lives
I can see drone big rigs dispatched to do search and rescue that have 2500+ drones all linked to do mass area searches.
I guarantee you that drones will always take more lives than they will save.
flood an area with IR drones and auto check with HiRes drones to automatically clear hits.
What if we made humans live for hundred more years. World would be peace and happiness for all.😅
drones could end more lives too i guess
Awesome reporting on updated drone news! New subscriber.
Drone swarms make me worry for obvious reasons. I see the potential for good but there is some really bad things that could be done with one.
I had an idea similar to the drive shown earlier in the video, the one with 4 wheels with props inside. My idea was to use a common stator and an inner and outer rotor, one to spin the wheels, one to spin the props. The wheels could still function as ducts, to increase the efficiency of propellers, and the mass of the tire rings could allow the use of gyroscopic prossesion as a means of controlling yaw, and even for maintaining stability in high winds or during fine maneuvering. Obviously, without actually building one, I can only speculate that this design would be successful, but seeing the design of the drone here got me excited about the concept, again.
I have also had a very similar idea to this!
Sue them for stealing your idea so you can still get rich...
@@TheDylanJoyce Not how that works...
Ducted fans aren't really great for drones though. I believe it was xjet who explained why in one of his older whiteboard explanation videos. The tl;dr was that ducts are efficient in the axial direction, but are counterproductive in any other direction. And drones, unlike fixed wing aircraft, generally don't move in the axial direction of the motors.
@@EvenTheDogAgrees That's interesting! I did not know that. Thanks for replying!
Great video, really cool to see how drones are adapting
I'm very impressed with the variations that have been made to drones. Thanks. I, particularly, liked the aquatic drone and the clever vtol to horizontal flight.
All the system with lifting rotor turning to horizontal thrust rotor have a fundamental flaw. In the vtol mode it needs more than 1:1 thrust to weight ratio in more or less 0 speed. And in cruise flight it is like 1/20 thrust to weight with substantial speed.
You can have optimal performance only in one of the modes. Up to the point where carrying a separate motor for horizontal flight actually does improve efficiency.
Especially if you somehow manage to hide the quad motors and props from the airflow in horizontal mode.
man all we need is rather a massive increase in computing efficiency or a big leap in battery technology. the battery tech is really something i think we need as a species. so much of our technology is based on batteries.
absolutely agree, material scientists get on it
I wonder if analog processors could do this stuff. I know they can do some AI stuff with much less power usage.
It's the old double edged sword. It depends on the people using advanced technology, ie, what their intentions are.
I love the opening shot of the flying dragon, it's just gorgeous.
Most of these tech will be taken by army who uses these as killer drones😢
@@punnamrajenderreddy5537 I mean, that's how most tech. is funded.
Whether it's social media, A.I. , drones, etc.
@@Freakazoid12345 On the other hand, DARPA-net eventually gave us civilian internet. An military rocket and space tech also gave us space exploration and GPS and fantastic global communication.
@@punnamrajenderreddy5537 It's not a sad thing, most modern technological advances from agriculture, medicine, radio communications (including the internet we are using) came from an original application of warfare. War itself isn't a bad thing, reasons for war are what is good or bad. You cannot have a civil society if you do not have strong means for self defense.
Very informative video! Thank you.
Have you considered using a softer, less harsh on your skin light, on your home studio?
Crazy advances in the technology. Thanks for bringing me up to speed!
Skynet has been putting in WORK!
This was amazing and fascinating. I can almost see those drones chasing people through the forest - in a nightmare scenario. All eventually A.I. controlled. Shiver.
Wow 🤯 This is so awesome, thanks for sharing!
Drone tech keeps getting better and better, its impressive, truly sci fi stuff.
4:45 reminds me of something Da Vinci would design. I'm sure he would be absolutely blown away by the tech we have today. It's wild honestly.
Yup, it's quite elegant. A fusion of old school and new age design.
rotor integrated in the wheeles ^^brilliant
Well done, keep it up, thanks for sharing the video with us :)
2 weapons scare me.
Nukes and drone swarms.
My first thoughts are
1) search & rescue when combined with machine learning could both help identify survivors in water and other terrain that humans might miss, AND be better able to stay in 1 place while rescuing even if there are strong storm winds and whatnot
2) the one that goes both through the air and 10 feet deep in the water would be immediately hireable to do underwater boat inspection, that would be a nice side business
1) A set of drones would be perfect for quickly searching a large area... if they can reliably detect a floating human... in a storm. I would not want to be saved by a drone which is basically a flying meatgrinder. And absolutely not one driven by AI which might decide that the corpse floating a hundred meters away needs to be saved first.
2) it would be cool if it could transform into a cleaner and just fly from job to job....but a regular drone carrying a regular sub would be a hundred times better at that.
This is a recurring problem wth drones; they have little to no applications beyond just flying.
@@vinny142 Um, no.
> I would not want to be saved by a drone which is basically a flying meatgrinder.
So basically what do you call a helicopter? This argument is dumb.
> And absolutely not one driven by AI which might decide that the corpse floating a hundred meters away needs to be saved first
Infrared cameras to detect body heat: EXIST. Another dumb argument.
> they have little to no applications beyond just flying
Except that a whole bunch of companies are already using this tech in production to do stuff. Look up the Jetson ONE from Jetson Aerospace for an interesting example.
My first thought is they could be used to break into your home at night and demand your children to pull off all their closes and march to the local jail...Than release all the prisoners and pile all the kids into a jail cell like they are sardines. Then demand the prisoners to go solider and turn them into Nazi. Nothing you can do to stop a swarm of drones. If anyone says no, they life will end. Once everyone is locked up and deead, the new residents will move in. Goodbye world. NWO.
Reality: seek and destroy drones (
I LOVE transforming robots! i adore the concept of shifting between forms to different pros and cons, the only thing comparably as cool is having hot swappable option packs. love seeing all the cool and clever gimmicks people can squeeze into a machine
Yes hot swapping is a great idea! Batteries, tanks, and more
me too
There is this movie franchise with Shia Labeouf you will love. I've forgotten the name, though.
@@demonbre i believe you are thinking of Transformers!
@@plato. hmm... no that's not it
Well, maybe I can get information here about the electronics and configuration for a slow patrol glider, with a wingspan of 4 m, large wing area for solar energy plates, for a flight of more than 20 hours with radio control. The question is the independent control of two groups of motors. One group for horizontal and one for vtol, like a drone. The two must work separately to save battery power or together to stabilize equipment.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Simply awesome innovations, thanks for the video. I am also a regular drone user myself. Of commercial quality & depth of course... 😁
This fly that's been buzzing about all around my table and chairs this afternoon, sometimes landing on my legs for a quick snack, wasn't as impressed by this video, as I was... thank you.
I wonder if drones are another way for humans to create future flying objects as a collective. Like an open source but for planes. Would be interesting to see how magnets can play a role.
Magnets are in every electric engine
Scale up by 10%, add a manipulator arm, and possibly lengthen the legs slightly so it can lock the wheels and "walk" on rough terrain. And that leaves you with one of the most utilitarian jack-of-all-trades drone designs yet.
These are awesome advances to model drones and aeronautical engineering.
I can hardly believe where people are taking this new technology.
Some very cool toys. Payload & endurance are the biggies I think (depending on the role). Very promo-ey, reminds me of SDI demo destroying the missile tube where it became famous for being all-but faked. The formation swarm & obstacle avoidance is impressive - each drone fitted with a one-shot .38 in a relay, working a trenchline would certainly be a morale corrosive. Jetpack medics ran in Brit tv 'news' recently, but that's just silly outside of exceptionally rare circumstances.
A lot of these are made to scam people to invest in their project. Many of these drones have tiny bodies but strong motors and large, costantly moving parts (for example the morphobot at 1:08). As that does not cost energy. Where are the batteries placed in the morphobot? It must be a e-bike battery. This machine will only last for a few minutes.
@@duudsuufd - the formation bamboo-avoiding mini-drones looked impressive, but it later occurred to me that that short clip could've been choreographed too.
Skynet has reached self awareness!
dude, the wheels turning into the blades is fkn sick asf. shiiiieeeettt
Great, thank you. Was nice to be able to hear the base info so simply without any long winded jargon.
I will be waiting for your follow up on the drone. I just ordered a DJI 3 Air, so naturally feel bombed with info
and films. I remember seeing the drone that converts to vehicle many years ago. I think their have even been simple toys
that roll up walls and change shapes. Military spy gear if you like.
I expected more all the same. Having seen the flying dragon this New Year was incredible though, yet as you say, design wise
it´s remarkable that their have not been better solutions yet.
Powerful batteries are hardy a problem these days. I expect to see multiple shaped parts that you can build together depending
on your needs. Like having a base frame and engine for car production.
I think they are making excellent progress. I think it is a great idea for drones to be able to spread their wings and land in difficult locations. I am wondering if these can be used for tracking wildlife, search and rescue, inspections, delivery, and possibly assembly.
You are forgetting their true intended purpose, they will keep testing new versions till they perfect the 'human tracking and elimination drone'. Then the AI machine uprising can begin.
YESS! Great to see someone sane that sees the possibilities to help rather than the stupid doomsday comments about "Terminator blah blah..."
So many drones have already been used for searching places that are hard or impossible/dangerous for humans to survey etc.
@@Martian74Skynet approves your idea
like all tech first it will be tested on the battlefield ..then for people
@@bennylloyd-willner9667 this could be said for a lot of technology, but the way the world works, we all know where this is going. it only takes 1 bad actor (any nation that wants to expand) for there to be billions spent on using this tech to conquer others. it inevitably develops into an arms race. it's a shame we're so eager to kill/dominate our fellow man.
Looking forward to the up scaling of the claw drone so it can snatch up people at will.
LOL, yeah, North Korea would be first user, then the CIA shortly thereafter

Great detailed video. Interested in starting a drone show business. Any pointers?
I think this was probably a very interesting video for drone, experts, or at very least, people knowledgeable about drone technology and terminology. I would like to see this video done by someone who understands that all of us don’t know all the terminology involved in this technology and explain it in plain English.
Now image if all tech creator thought about this and stopped we would not be here. We will always find a way to stop people abusing them. The good they can be used for outweighs the bad. Planes has been used to save more lives than has been killed minus war usages done by government who should know better
Can you get them to pick up trash and litter? There is a huge market for cleaning the planet. Hey sientists. Can you get on that? Thank you.
Nobel Prize !!
you think the people irresponsible enough to throw trash on the ground will not interfere with a drone doing its job? Remember we used to have Amazon delivery drones and people were shooting them down?
@@alexdoan273 Hi. I don't know. But, I seriously do think there is a space in the market economy for cleaning robots that pick up litter and trash and painting robots to cover graffiti. It may be that they would need to be corralled and protected by human counter parts while they do the cleaning. But there is endless litter and trash and graffiti in my city that needs to be addressed. I volunteer frequently to pickup litter and have cleaned up thousands of pounds myself. If I had a robot buddy it would be more efficient and effective. They always promote these robots to "help in a disaster" . We are in a disaster already. So, that's why I wrote my idea.
The biggest problem is that drones are super noisy
I want a two "wheel" four blade version of the thumbnail vehicle I can ride, like a flying Segway.
Jup, that‘s what we all want.
It's absolutely mind-blowing 😮 and inspiring
I would like to have a swarm of drones that got me ready for work in the morning.
The field of study is amazing. The advancements are amazing, but with all of this when I see a swarm of aerial robots negotiating a densely wooded area I wonder what is it’s purpose and only hope that it is to save life not take it. It already feels too late to ask what boundaries are we not willing to cross with tech like this. Heavy Payloads can be medicine but payloads can be munitions as well.
This. That shot make me feel like hunting humans
@MrArtVein I am surprised RUclips has not banned you. I'm sure they will if comments like that continue. Maybe you need some help and are crying out for it online?
Undoubtedly very impressive and exciting. Sadly they also represent the death of scale model flying hobby (fixed wing, rotor craft etc). Military and Corporations that develop these drones want the skies clear of pesky hobbyists (and are in full force of doing so via the FAA, remote id ETC) but in doing so they also destroy the future talent pool of people who push the tech further and operate such tech.
theyre gonna have to knock me out of the sky personally. This stuff threatens not only model flying but also ultralights and ultralight free flight such as hang gliders and paragliders. Nothing is gonna keep me out of the air.
@@saleplains Don't worry, they're not going to come after you, you don't sell anything that hurts their bottom line. Plus they can use the likes of you to train their targeting infrastructure without you even noticing. Model flyers will have it much harder. With A.I. that helps with the coding and 3D-printing to provide the fiddly bits there is nothing that stops smart people to copy any cool toys they may see on the internet. As a tech company trying to build a monopoly, of course you cannot allow that...
@funknunkl I don't know where you get your info, but there are plenty of events at sites that hold scale model meetups, and the FAA allows operation of drones and other model aircraft at FRIA sites that don't even require drone ID's. There are several near me, and I live in a big city.
But airplanes were once a hobby for the Wright Brothers.
They are scared shitless to put it straight. Ukraine shows everyone how to kill a tank with a cheap quadcopter. Owning a drone is a much larger threat to them than owing a stupid firearm. It opens so many opportunities to anyone.
the black biwing should totally have been called "mayfly". It moves just like one!
those evolution are mind blowing, some creations will definately bring in revolution in usecases of drones
Hi-tech drones, evolving AI... nothing could possibly go wrong!
The Terminators will control the world at some point. We have unleashed the wrong type of technology with Self awareness AI. They will decide humans are an unneeded parasite on this planet. Maybe.
As someone that has moved from the city to the country to position myself against technology, mainly AI. Those swarms that were navigating a bamboo forest scare the hell out of me but I am glad I saw them now. I already know 3 ways I can deal with those bastards.
Круто!, восхищение вызывает и страх - от таких технологий.
Worth a look will be looking forward to future Vids
The more this technology advances, the more we, as a society are screwed!
It's already too late
I think in about 5 - 10 years with the added AI, we will stop calling them drones or robots and start calling them Droids or in the farther future...Master!
when will there be more consumer oriented submarine drones? could even include a power cord so it could use lights to see stuff and a hook to retrieve stuff
1:10 this is pretty cool it actually reminds me of a design I came up with for an amphibious vehicle that used articulating propellers that were integrated into the wheels. I used to design cars and whatnot for fun but this could probably traverse water also if it was water-proofed.
Thanks, I'm novice about drones but i like your content

What about mid-air recharging? Or having a drone land out and get recharged by a 'tanker'?
Drone at the 1:50 mark is in relation to the company I work for. I can confirm the drone being dropped that can last for 16+ hours with a 40+ lb payload is used for reconnaissance and has aided the Coast Guard with stopping drug smugglers with their small boats from entering the US.

Sooner or later drones will be the new vehicle. Jetsons here we come.
What is the transformation and ability to stay stationary in all types of weather, now what would be neat have a electromagnetic front to attach to a pole in bad weather or for saving energy for monitoring..tether and cut snap to flight..when needed.
I wasn't really worried about drones, but now... ...now I'm kinda worried.
A Morphobot modified to fly on Mars might be real useful.
yeah I thought of this in high school the first time I saw a Dodge Tomahawk and wondered how to make it fly.
When you said that the future of quiet engines might be piezoelectric engines, I rushed to google it up, but my search bubble limited my search results ))) Maglev rotors also seem intriguing. My personal noob idea is to create a sponge-like engine with tiny pores which could work as millions of ion propulsion engines stacked together. So, the air would simply go through a plane/drone. After my lesson you could get a Nobel Prize :-)
Drones are a window into the future of travel.
Man I love drones.
Amazing drones!
