The difference that I think you aren't seeing is that what dancers (like this in the video) do is that they have developed techniques to be able to do everything they do more efficiently and with less energy. I'm not saying one is better than the other. But I will argue that anyone can dance with heart, emotion and hips, no matter how technically they dance.

that has nothing to do with a proper salsa which people dance in southmerica with heart,emotion and from the hipps.this looks ok for a competition but in any given day you watch southamericans move to the rhythm its just breath taking viva la salsa y los verdaderos salsaleros y no los payasos q saltan como sapos!!
it was ok...nice moves here and there...i donno bout 1st place though it started off really strong...and then it kinda just got boring til the shine or solos then it picked up again

nice dancing but too technical. Salsa is a sexy dance and you must move your body in synch with the rythem of the music.
