If the lions kicked the field goal, and Green Bay somehow went down and scored a touchdown and won the game, the conversation would be “why would Dan Campbell not do what he always does”
Realistically, Green Bay was not going to drive 70 yards in 45 seconds. They were playing the Lions, not the Panthers. They would have won the game either way.
@@RobbieStacks90 They were playing against a Lions D made up of guys they picked up off the street. It could have happened. The Lions secondary the last two years blew games like that.
@RobbieStacks90 Yes the lions with so many starter and even 2nd string defensive players injured
This is a silly premise. The expectation is to kick the FG. If he did kick the FG and not go for it, and lost the game, the only speculation would be that it is justification for him not taking the points in last years Championship game that cost them the trip to the Super Bowl.
@@David-w9i7j They didn't go to the Super Bowl not because of the calls. The calls were correct, the issue was 2 blatant and bad drops by a usually sure handed receiver. Those catches get made.. game over.
My god listen to the two people on the panel that have never played professional football and listen to the one person that has. Theres a significant difference in their perspectives and intelligence, lmao.
I listened to those takes on how "Risky that play was" and immediately thought. You can tell which of these 3 have never played football. lol such a bad take.
Why is there a woman now on every broadcast
Don't lie about woody. He's a former nfl player.

We’re ride or die with Dan Campbell. He’s the man.
Massive NUTZ!
Lions better treat him like Mike tomlin and never fire him
Dan is just a dope
I said it when it happened, and will keep saying it! Lions won that trade Stafford for Goff! IF the Rams would have put that much talent around Goff like they did Stafford for that 1 season, Goff would have won a Super Bowl with the Rams just like Stafford did!
ON GOD GO 🦁
What she fails to realize
1. Defense is beat up and if you rely on them with time left it could be tougher than going for the 1 yard line and getting the first down.
2. If they do get stopped, it is still a tie game and that Green Bay would have still tried going down to score the TD. Our best odds at that time was getting the first down....
Us Detroit Fans " in Brad and Dan we Trust "
Agree 100%. Absolute last thing we needed was to give the Packers just one more chance. I don't know if we could have stopped them one more time. Turns out we didn't have to!
13 defensive players on IR; no other NFL team has more than 7.
@@AEMoreira81no other team has more than 7 on IR in total.
Tim Patrick was such a great pickup for the Lions.
He's catching tds while Josh is catching strays
@@cannadaddoit7460 Oh goodness....lol
He’s is under utilized, up until the last 2/3 games, if Patrick stays healthy he’s a huge asset!
It’s funny cause their skill level is very similar, at this time last year most lions fans felt the same about reynolds. When we needed him most, he vanished. Hopefully Patrick works out differently.

For real 😂
Chicks have a lack of testosterone. No guts no glory
Facts💯. I completely agree with you on that!
Dude, they are asking the questions that a lot of viewers are asking. Thats part of their job. Most viewers are not very sophisticated.
Aaron Glenn is the mad scientist who put that monster together and let it loose on Green Bay. Lions got that Frankenstein defense.
#BringBackTheCurseofBobbyLane
They were calling for his job when the team was 1-6 two seasons ago. Then they turned it all around and now he is supposed to be leaving to be a HC somewhere else.
@@David-w9i7jI was one of those fans. I was wrong

@@EXMUTRKS Blame Payton Manning and Jeff Daniels for breaking the curse.
The fact that we still won even with all the starting Defense on IR is insane.
Time of possession was key
Can’t believe they won with that IR list. Packers fans are hysterical “we had injuries too!” Yea, but your back ups were in. The Lions had 4th stringers and guys they pulled in from the parking lot playing. WAY different playing a full time back up than a guy who was just managing an autozone 3 days ago.
Not all, Campbell is still out there lol
Did you not see ST Brown push off on the pass play that was a joke INSANE that the refs missed that call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plenty of Packers fans will be saying the same thing today. 😂
If you kick a fg, you're depending on your defense to stop them from getting a fg. If you go for it on 4th and don't get it, you're depending on your defense to stop them from getting a fg.
Let’s just say that Dan Campbell’s confidence makes better sense than Matt Eberflus not using a timeout.
Dude that lady literally gave me an aneurysm she was literally just yapping about nothing can we live in the world pretty much what her team wins is all I heard
That’s why Dan a coach and you not
4 out of 5 times it worked. These analysts don’t get it. If the Lions don’t get that 4th down, this team is resilient, they still win. I don’t doubt it at all.
Because even if the Lions didn't get the 4th down. There still was no guarantee that they lose the game.
Its dumb though because you gotta make the other team beat you, not beat yourself.
@lucasfenske well for one they didn't beat themselves because they beat the opponent. 2nd is they would of made the other team beat them even if they didn't get the 4th down because they still would of had to go down the field with 30 seconds n no timeouts. Chances make champions.
@@tariqwallace3853 REF no call on ST BROWN pass interference kind of clinched it for them dont you think ????

Yeah she was hoe.n herself this whole segment
😂 Then she wants to know how can Packers win? They are following the script so when these few plays come up, they never go for the kill
Players interviewed after the game and they all said he told him we're going to be super aggressive because we don't want to put a lot on our defense
So much pearl clutching lol!
How about winning with 18 players on IR?
12 of them on defense?
they're 12 - 1 !
I remember hearing a frustrated NFL player say his head coach had a situation spreadsheet with all his decisions on it. Fourth and one on the thirty five always means kick. He was so tired of the 'losers spreadsheet' as he put it. I'm glad someone is actually thinking and taking chances. Good for the Lions.
I get the surprise, but you can say “what if” for every single decision, for every team, across the league.
That conversion play is the exact reason why Detroit is 12-1, and not 13-0. That risk costed them against TB. But any team would love to be 12-1 if it couldn’t be 13-0.
If they didn't convert, Dan would have been the first to say I lost the game for my team, but he would owned and justified his reasons without excuse. And that's all you could ever ask from a coach.
Winning the Super Bowl would be amazing, but as a longtime lions fan whose enjoying every single week of meaningful football and all the respect for these players and coaches is enough for me.
She is mad they beat her Packers twice, nerd in the middle has no clue, not only has Campbell done this since hes been here, but Campbell knows his defense is devistated right now and wants the offense out there. He did that alot last year because he knew the defense was bad in the second half of games. It's all calculated risk.
Detroit swept Green Bay 🤣 the lions have so many weapons on Offense 🎯 skilled players at every position
Surprised they didn't give a flag for the helmet knock off for St Brown, also his extended hands on the big slant play later was also some home cooking. We will see how things go as they continue. Going for it on 4th and Goff falling down getting stepped on to his knees and just barely getting the handoff away and not fumbling it was super lucky
@@b2284The man was hired to do a job, and he does it no matter what. The Lions are lucky to have him...(Goff)
Amazing offense. Straight up track team.
They sound like such haters, why not celebrate courage and faith in the guys on the field. Those two should not be giving takes on TV.
Green bay was just concentrating on not jumping offsides, no one expected them to snap it, it caught them off guard and on their heels. That's why it succeeded .
Now what haters? You couldnt beat our practice squad defense. 18 on IR, Mcneil goes out for good in the second quarter. Now Eaagles fans will say imagine what Barkley will do. Philly fans I know Detroit has you shook but instead of being biased hating homers, juat appreciate what you are witnessing. You better pray to your little birdie god that Detroit doesn't get healthy come playoff time and that your team doesnt sustain any major injuries. The lions can smell your fear little eagles. Fly away, fly.
You let the Packers drive down the field up and down on you, dont worry about Barkley you better watch out for that swole Batman AJ Brown!
I think McNeil played only 6 plays actually
Btw Jalen Carter is the reincarnated Jerome Brown. Your offensive line is good BUT NO ONE can block that man so no one is shaking in Philly
No one is shaking anywhere. Philly is a great balanced team.

The difference between Dan Campbell and her is Dan Campbell doesn't worry about "what if".
Anyone saying it was reckless doesn't understand anything about situational football. How are you even on TV? LOL
The analytics say going for it was the right decision. Campbell shouldn't have to explain himself for playing the odds correctly.
"Let's pretend it didn't work out, what happens?" Exactly what happened in the NFC Championship Game against the 49ers last year. Live by it, die by it, but at least it's always DC's mentality so you can live with it.
Lol shes so flabbergasted by Dan Campbell decision smh "If you're scared, go to church."
Top 5 offense in nearly every category will win you ball games. Lions outgun most opponents which is why we’ve been able to outlast the defensive issues
Major defensive injuries u mean lol
Woody loves DC and the Lions!
Whole television crew and show was rooting for GB. The whole night was about how can Green Bay win and what they had to do to come back 😂
So on a QB kneel when the QB puts his knee down the play is stopped. He put his knee down before he handed that ball off, shouldn't the play have stopped then?
This lady is clearly a GBP fan and is being delusional with her take.
I’m a lifelong patriots fan. I remember the 1-15 and 2-14 1990s pats teams. The lions have been that lovable loser more than not. So I’m on board. I hope these guys get it done. Detroit deserves it. They’ve been watching a horror show for my whole lifetime and I’m 43. Go lions. 🦁
It’s not reckless. It’s gritty
sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt sure... but its usually gonna work with that offense. thats why theyre 26-7 the last 2 years
Detroit's defense is banged up and wasn't stopping GB at the end of the game. Campbell wanted to end the game with his offence on the field, not his defense. Smart move
As a Packers fan I respect Campbell for the decisions he made. He wanted to make sure we didn't get a chance at all on offense.

“It almost didn’t work”. 😂
If you make decisions based on fear you’ll never win anything in this league. You have to make your calls based on how much you believe in your team. Trust me. Those players get a huge boost knowing their coach believes in them as much as he consistently shows he does.
Lions are 12-1 with 13 players on the IR. Imagine if they were healthy. This is a great team.
This is Detroit brand of football! True fans know and understand that going for it is what we do.
Lions needs this 10 day rest, their Defense needs to be better against Buffalo! Lions are lucky they gave up 31 points (most all season) and still squeezed out a win!
Well we have 13 defensive players on IR 😂 unheard of smh
Even if they lose to the Bills, it won't hurt the Lions too much because they are not in their conference. I would rather see the Lions stay healthy when come playoff time.
@hackly6748 exactly
@@hackly6748 yup, betting with house money now....
Sometimes it's better be lucky than good.
This Detroit team is that good, and lucky.
Btw everyone in the state of Michigan loves Dan Campell and feel his attitude and personality reflects perfectly what our state is all about!
Dan Campbell would literally bet his house in a poker game. 😂
The Lions are also getting aided by the refs.
If the score was 32-31, he would have kicked on 4th. But at 31-31, even if you turn it over on downs GB only has about 40 seconds and 0 timeouts to get into FG range. It’s not as risky as it seems.
Much respect to Dan Campbell. He’s built something special in Detroit.
Fine line between being gutsy and reckless...
Dan Gamble biting kneecaps is all we know, and all we WANT to know, and that's all you need to know.
40 secs left on the clock and give the ball back to Jordan Love with 12 defensive players out and a tired defense with players that were on the street the last couple weeks. Running a 8yard stretch run before Gibbs even got to the line of scrimmage to get a yard was a bad call thats the only time they got stuffed.
W lions!
Damien Woody and two women discuss Dan Campbells large sack.
Almost every NFL team fan would LOVE to have Dan Campbell. He is the Polar Opposite of what the Bears....... had. The obvious favoritism many of the announcers are now feeling so free to publicly display, is growing tiresome.
Remember Dan Campbell's first press conference. On the final fourth down, his team dragged the Packers to the deep water and drowned them. Replay that speech after every win, and you'll see how incredibly predictive it was.
David Lloyd and Nicole briscoe Arturo the funniest people on sports center because there's no way they did not know whatsoever that Dan Campbell was going to go for it every single time he had an opportunity to on 4th down
Why can't he explain to her the obvious reason Dan Campbell went for the last 4th down? The answer is simple: Campbell did not want to simply go up by three, and then give the ball back to the Packers with over a minute to go with a depleted Lions defense. He said in his press conference he didn't want to give them the ball back. It's a smart move.
Don't question Dan Campbell. The Lions have won 11 in a row and are 12-1. He obviously knows what he's doing.
You have to give a lot of credit to Campbell. He believes what he believes and he walks the walk. He may win or he may lose, but at least he does it his way.
Dan put his trust in his best unit to execute when needed. What don't people understand about 🏈❓️❓️❓️🤣
Did people forget last year against the 49ers? Campbell said he’d do it again. It’s not shocking he went for it
All I hear from the Packers fan is, "It's not fair he didn't do the thing he was supposed to do so we had a chance to tie it up!" Dan Campbell is better, Lions are better. Get over it Green Bay.
The Lions given the current roster would rather put the game in the hands of their offense than their defense.
I've found a new way to describe Jared Goff after the "falling handoff". He is an Elegant QB! On the risk, they were favored to win even if they missed 4th down,
1:42 silence nerd! You can’t be scared . He knows what’s he’s doing. It’s not always going to work , he knows that. But most of the time it will, he trusts his guys and vice versa!
Dan Campbell literally got blasted for doing the same thing in Dallas last year. You're a genius when it works and just plain dumb when it doesn't. 😂
Detroit Lions deserved the victory.
Them acting like that andy reid or sean mcvay and other top notch coaches wouldnt of done what Dan did. It was the smart play, the correct call.
Dan Campbell teaching people ball in real time
Several Lions players on defense were out, most notably on their defensive line which is more banged up than any team in the NFL and it showed as they weren't able to stop Packers RB Jacobs in the red zone. Hopefully, their D-line is healthy come the postseason as they're going to need them to make it to Super Bowl LIX.
These aholes would be saying Nick Siriani should be fired if he did this, even if he got it... This is total BS
That’s what I’m saying, Campbell does it and he’s the best coach ever…Nick does it and he should be fired…that’s why I hate sports media…so biased towards certain teams

@@bigbandrod3890 They booed Santa.....
“Go get your win” he did 😂 what is she talking about. He didn’t want any doubt
What the 2 people on the panel (that coincidentally didn’t play) don’t understand is that Dan Campbell didn’t want to kick a FG and put his defense back on the field. With 13+ guys on IR, GB had already scored 31 points so Dan was like “if I’m going down I’m losing betting on my best unit and that’s my offense. So Knuckes run behind the best OLineman in the NFL right now with respect to Big Trent and get us an inch.
6-7 on 4th down against the Pack in the last 2 games. 85% conversion rate says go for it baby!
I feel so good for Jared Goff the way the Rams did him and his redemption story just to be on it winning team but the goal is to win the super bowl
Why should we keep talking what if!?
Exactly bro, what are we talking about here? Pretty sure we live in the world where it says 34-31 on the scoreboard, why are we thinking about some other universe
If 'ifs' and 'buts' were trees and nuts, everyone in Green Bay would have a Merry Christmas! Lol....
It's simple. Because Dan Campbell believes so much in his players, they ALWAYS play at 100% and will (and have) build a winning tradition. Yes, they will lose a few along the way because of "going for it," but they will win far more!
This is exactly why I haven’t watched ESPN in years.
One of the best games of the season
There’s not as much downside as they think. So much positive even if it doesn’t work this time. Coach building up trust and confidence in every player.
We relied on the kicking game and were not aggressive against the Bears, which cost the Bears their head coach. FG kept it close, and not being aggressive in controlling the clock put that team in a situation to win or tie when the ball should have been in our hands.
#LIONSPRIDE
It's not that big of a gamble when you have the best o line and running attack in the league. A much bigger gamble to hope a banged up defence can stop the Packers.
Wouldnt be suprised at all to see a rematch in the divisional round
Dan Campbell is going to give me a heart attack and im all for it.
