I still remember that stint he had with the Dolphins. Changed that whole team's perspective
Lions did that with like 14 defensive players in IR. 8 of which being starters. When they get their guys back they’re gonna absolutely truck everyone. Insane.
You stick with the things that got you to the dance. Dan Campbell’s aggressive nature is built into how the Lions like to play. All you can do is hope it doesn’t come to bite them in the end
This is the crew that needs to take over all the time when Screamin A and Shay Shay isn't on. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday are the only days you need to watch this show.

We do it every week, every single game. We were 8/16 on 3rd down and 4/5 on 4th down. We prepare for extra plays, and have offense on another level. Being conservative never won anyone the Super Bowl
@AUSTYN_1 exactly, people that haven’t seen lion’s play in 2 years, don’t get it, I understand. But Detroit had 76 plays total plays. Green bay had 45. Guess how many were 3rd and 4th conversions lol but Green Bay had one combined 3rd and 4th down conversion

That’s just someone that don’t know ball. Not why the Packers lost, but the refs were terrible last night. Very one sided. If Lions fans were objective at all.
@yngaustin cope harder. Not only is you crying about the refs ridiculous but your team was playing a defense that was absolutely decimated. The most exciting team in the NFL! I’m not even much of a football fan, but I appreciate the Lions always playing to win! Fun fact-I was subbing today at a high school and the quote about the ships not being in the harbor was on the board this morning!!
Yes Ryan Clark tell us all about Cam Newton knowing about a heightened sense of urgency when it comes to the playing in the Super Bowl. It’s not like he is known for not diving on a fumble during the Super Bowl when he had the chance too…
Campbell was right last year in the NFC game, and Campbell was right yesterday. Cam 100% right, he is who he is. IF you waffle, that is when you open yourself to criticism. But if you are who you are without waiver, you cannot be criticized for decisions because now it's character. Keep it coming, Detroit can take the heartbreak. We've been through worse than a missed 4th down conversion. Detroiters should have no fear and as a city, we stand by Campbell.
People aren't realizing that we have a bunch of players out, for now, because the Lions are getting a large amount of their injured players back by the playoffs. Barring any other major injuries, most of the starting DL will be back, starting middle linebacker is back, and the entire secondary has stayed healthy.
I find it funny how all these media people are talking down about the lions and how their injuries could hurt them. It quite literally has not hurt them. They are 12-1 with all of these injuries happening since week 6 or so. Imagine if the Chiefs, Ravens, Bills, or any other top team, had all the same injuries to just as important players and how the media would react to them winning games like the Lions are. They would be saying no way the QB isn't MVP because of how the team is hurt so badly and he is putting them on his back. National media refuses to show respect for what the Lions are doing this season because the are the Lions.
everybody all shocked. lions will go for on their on 15 yard line on 4th down. heard campbell last season said to bring a diaper to their games. this team is absolutely fearless and i'm here for it.
Going on fourth down made extreme sense. You are knew you had the conversation rate on your side. You knew your run game was getting it done. Even if he didn’t make it , you’d make packers get the ball back with 0 timeouts and have to rush to field goal range with 30ish second left. You’d probably stop them either way and go to o.t. Dan plays aggressive and will continue to do so. I was surprised GB wasn’t prepared for him to go for it. I knew the moment they didn’t get 3rd down based on their play calling he was going for it. Dan wants to get first seed and hopefully with a game to spare so he can rest his guys for a few weeks. Also, a lot of players return soon, not sure why everyone forgets that.
Holy crap, imagine the Lions making it the SB and get Hutch back just for that game. It would be like taking off a weighted vest right before the final race
That go for it worked on multiple levels. First, because not one soul on the Packers thought that snap was coming. Not a single one, they weren't ready and it was the easiest conversion all night. Second, there will never be a single team that will get in the mindset "well they're just gonna try to draw us offsides " on any 4th down play ever from anywhere. They're always gonna have to assume the snap is coming. Detroit is the only team that has that advantage.
Dan Campbell git Faith in our offense if it 7 mins and we up and we don't get it and the other team scores and take the lead by 5 points that we can score a td if need to
I dont want to hear about him showing confidence in his team. He had confidence in his offense, he has no confidence in his defense whatsoever. Last I checked, defense is half of the team.
Dan Campbell cost us a super bowl appearance because of this madness. He also went for it on 4th down on the lions 30. He doesn't need to do these things when you have this good of a roster. I'm sick of it.
Lions vs Eagle is still likely 6 weeks away. There will be many starting defensive players back from injury by then. Paschal, Reader, Anzalone, Reeves-Maybin, D. Barnes, Cominski. Most if not all will be back before post season and if the Lions get the week off they will be even healthier. I suspect they will keep an IR return spot free up to the Championship Round if Hutch is on track for the SB, but if not they will use it to bring back an extra body.
Hes been hit or miss for me. He reminds me of Ocho on Nightcap. Too player friendly even when they're wrong or not enough knowledge of the situation to completely speak on it
I have the Lions winning the Super Bowl. Picked them with confidence but honestly the Dan Campbell decision was insane and he got bailed out by Goff. That was so high risk and very little reqard. Would have been a long shot for the Packers to tie the game and you put urself in a position to lose it if Goff doesn't hand that thing off. we SHOULD NOT be applauding that decision. Their fourth down decisions cost them a SB appearance last year and it will happen again.
I think even Dan Campbell had concern with the defense. And that's why he made the decision that he did. Leaving Green Bay off the field. Putting green bay back on the field with just over forty seconds left would also be a gamble having a banged up defense. All depends on how you look at a gamble.

That’s what I’ve been saying…. 4 guys we just signed this Sunday, was on the field Kwon Alexander gave up a huge 3rd down pass for not getting depth in his coverage…. Jamal Adam’s played and gave up another huge pass on 3rd down also lions had him blitzing… Josh Adam played very well recording 3 tackles and a qb hit.
