It's Friday Fun Day!
And The Tomato Pin Cushion Is A
Perfect Pattern For Today.
I have been doing a lot of sewing lately and
It reminded me of the tomato pin cushion I used have
from high school sewing class.
I Love That things and decided to crochet one.
I Love it!
I sure hope you do do as well.
It's super cute, super fun to stitch us and super useful!
Just because Tomatoes are usually red,
does not mean you have to make them red.
Get in Your yarn stash and make them any colors
you like.
Have some fun and be creative.

I’m going to make some of these for baby or puppy toys
Hi Sara, these are so cute! I still have one like that for my pins!! Thanks 💜😊
Different colors are heirloom tomatoes which are so good.
Yes! Thanks
I love this pattern. Thanks for sharing this. I still have tomatoes I use but having a crocheted one will be perfect for carrying in my crochet bag. Thanks !
Great idea!

Thanks, cute as can be, lol. Be Blessed 🤗💕🥰
Adorable pincushion
Love this so much!! It’s going on my list. And the different color ones are “heirloom “ tomatoes!! Thank you so much for sharing!!❤
Yes, heirloom tomatoes, love that!
Great idea ❤
Morning Sara! I have the original tomato we had to have for Home Economics in high school! This is a useful pattern! It is really funny that you brought this to us today, because I was just thinking about our using it in Home Ec and how I need to pull out my old sewing kit. I want to do some sewing and buy some material and things to make a project bag. I don't have any and would like to have something special to put my projects in to carry them to the Dr's or when I am taking them in the car.
Thanks for bringing back a great pincushion!! Have a great weekend!! 💜🤟💜
Great, cute project! Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧵💕🍅
Darn cute
Sara, what a practical pattern!! I live in the Garden State ~ New Jersey ~ where Jersey Tomatoes are DELICIOUS!!! These Crocheted tomatoes are a perfect and adorable gift for people in New Jersey!!!! Thank you for such a clear and easy to follow tutorial!!!
Wonderful! I did not know that New Jersey was The Garden State. I do love fresh tomatoes right off the vine. Thanks.
Sara, thank you so much for this beautiful video. I have struggled so hard with amigurami and wanting to make things like this!!! I have never understood the concept until I just sat here and watched you do this video and I love how you put the stitch marker in the last stitch that makes so much sense to me because I struggled with that part of doing these sort of projects!!!
I thank you so so very much for taking your time and showing us all these tutorials so that we know how to do these projects! Now I don’t dread trying to learn doing these “in the round” projects and amigurami!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Love the tomato pincushion enjoy your day Sarah x
Thank you! You too!
How adorable 🥰

You are so welcome!
Love this! On my list! I had one for decades and don't know what went with it!😢
I have been meaning to make a in cushion and kept putting it off but now I have no excuse because you just gave me a step by step tutorial, thank you Sara♥🧶
I just made this following your tutorial and its AWESOME!!! Thank you so much!!!
Wonderful! You are so welcome!
Sara, that looks great, and I love it, I have one of them little tomatoes, and it has a little strawberry hook to it. It was my mom's.
I ❤️ it! 🍅🍅🍅🍅 I just made a red tomato.😊
Perfect!
very cute ❤❤🙏
Thank you 🤗
Great project! That was so cool how you made the leaves & stem! Blessings from central Florida!
Thanks so much!
I will have to try your pattern as a stated in a different post of making these for random acts of crochet kindness since my community has a tomato festival coming up
I do my leaves a little different though just an idea if anybody would like to try, I chain six join to make a circle then a chain one and then I make a chain of seven or eight sometimes longer depending on how long I want my leaf then I come back to the second chain from the hook And single crochet all the way down until I meet the circle; skip a space or two and make the next leaf in the same way until I have five leaves I pull the center tight and will come up through the center to make my stem, I cannot explain how to do this exactly but play with it then attach it using the same color as the leaves to the tomato weaving in to only the color of the leaves and I chain more or less than I did for the leaves, all single of course But to make it look like a Stem I cannot wait to try your pattern for the tomato 33:35
What a wonderful idea. Thanks
Cute but need that strawberry to sharpen my pins and needles.
I was thinking about that, and wondering what material they used inside it to sharpen them?? Any idea anyone?
@@alannahawkins Emery powder
@@alannahawkins It is Emery inside the strawberry that sharpens the needle and pin burrs.
I will have to see where to find that.
What about a peach shaped pin cushion? 😊
This can also be a pumpkin with orange yarn for Halloween/fall
