I like how at the end he uses the extra reach of his sword to defeat the enemy, you don't often see that basic but fundamental advantage shown in swordfighting films etc.

@@TrueMentorGuidingMoonlight You can say that the costumes are "fantastically accurate", they definitely look and work a lot better than in the Witcher series but it's nowhere close to being "historically" accurate, and it shouldn't/doesn't have to be since it's a full on fantasy
@@nimai7074 I interpret the difference as, “Do I see people wearing gambesons and actual medieval clothing albeit stylized in feasible colors and trims… or do I see people wearing chainmail bikinis, leather gimpsuit-esque outfits, and other weird fantasy shenanigans?” Just because you are using a fictional world with magic doesn’t mean you can’t appreciate the small details of historically inspired aesthetics. It’s all about how you world-build. And the Witcher 3 did a fantastic (pun not intended) job with giving us the former as well as the latter. I personally preferred it that way, to set the franchise apart from Skyrim, DnD, LOTR, and other medieval fantasies (not that those others are bad, just different).
Edit: What I meant to say about the games’ use of pure fantasy aesthetics (i.e. armor and clothes of the nonhuman species and the stylized armors you find throughout the games) was that while they are used, they’re designed to appear practical for the most part. I don’t see completely impractical armor unless say, I see the Wild Hunt or draugirs show up, and those guys are intentionally meant to look otherworldly by comparison to a Temerian soldier.
Epic, the swordfighting was realistic and beutiful.
They threw some spinny spinny in for flash which isnt realistic, but overall, damned well done :D

I love how in the last fight sequence Geralt arm wrestles and then pulls at the pommel to stop the cut.

There was also a two handed Murder stroke in there and half swording. Amazing!
You guys ALWAYS DELIVER!! This is all taking in to account in the genre of how stellar Geralt already is as a fighter, and what he can do as an enhanced being, taking on several armed men like that.

A step down from your usual fighting.
Often because choreografs are idiots, but in this case....Its fckng witcher and themost famous technique of witchers is piruete....so this is why.
Depends on context. Sometimes the purpose of spinning was to create safe zone, to gauge surrounding, to confuse enemies, to move around avoiding become static target, etc.
Slow clap. I'm not a good musician nor a good swordfigter but I've spent many years practicing both and this video is a job well done.
Nice project but why so little drive? The performance is very flat.

I love Henry Cavill's passion, but hell, Geralt never was in a superhero build/shape.
Here I have only one "con" - please, somebody explain all the czech musicians already that "V" is pronounced as "V" not as a "W" !!! It's such a common mistake and it tears my ears apart!

This makes me sad Netflix butchered the witcher. It started good then just...died.
Upřímně? Docela sestup z výšina na to, na jaké úrovni byl třeba Knight of Hope. Ten člověk, co vám to točí, neumí držet kameru půl vteřiny v klidu? To je naprostá hrůza... Střih mu asi taky nic neříká, colorgrading strašný. Vyměňte kameramana a jestli je i střihač, tak rovnou dvakrát. Vaše výkony se nedají ani posoudit, protože prostě nejsou vidět. A ten song je taky docela hrůza, upřímně řečeno.
True swordsmanship (although bet its gonna be excentric and whatnot, witcher style n all), not western fencing cliches that the mainstream media throws at us, cant wait.

Love it! Great song/cover, costumes, lighting, great fighting as always! The camera could have been a bit more wide angle and less cuts to allow the viewer a bit more orientation in the scene. After all, these fighters really do not need fast cuts to make their fighting look good!

Лучшая техника боя ведьмака: и зрелищно, и в большей степени рационально, понятно, разумно. Нестандартный хват меча - лишь результат промежуточного решения в конкретный момент времени (если я правильно понял, он как-то чередовал хват мордхау с техникой полумеча).

Pro choreography - which shocked me. And certainly better music than the show =D If only George RR Martin had written this series, instead of a six year old with crayons. Battle scene, smash peeple togeder and see wut hapens. Woah sordes. Look monstah. And Gerald says, 'Fuck' - you know, to make it sound serious.
