- The Midōsuji Line (御堂筋線 Midōsuji-sen) is a rapid transit line in Osaka, Japan, operated by the Osaka Municipal Subway.
The Osaka municipal subway horn has high reputation from users such as "pleasing" and "healed" with a unique tone like pipe organ.
It is highly likely that the sound is composed of chords of "EAC #" = musical score = in recent years, it was found by investigation by a subway operator.
Because the score was missing, the subway operator has customized it based on the recording.
It was a mystery of a subway operator over a quarter of a century.
Air whistle is mainstream for horn.
However, at the municipal subway where the train always sounds when entering the station home or even when departing to inform the workers in the tunnel, "Air whistle surprises the customer by being too noisy," said the synthesizer We adopted "electric whistle" which is comfortable to hear with sound.
According to a subway operator, this sound was composed by a male staff member who was a music hobby in 1989 by a synthesizer.
However, this official has already retired and there is no musical score, and a new type of vehicle has given a manufacturer a recording sound source more than a quarter century ago to the manufacturer and made a special order.
In 2018, the Osaka Municipal Subway was privatized and became the Osaka Metro.

How beautiful. Thanks so much for making this video. Loving it! : )
朝ラッシュなので見えなくなったときに入線チャイムが流れていますね。
i used Midosuji-sen everyday for two weeks last 2018 December, i miss it
御堂筋線を毎日利用してますがだいぶ変わりましたね。10系、21系未更新など今は見られないものも沢山ありますね・・・。懐かしいです。
That's very detailed and interesting, thank you :3
Thanks for the effort
It's amazing the variety of models of trains you have in Japan... just wait in a platform and lots of different trains show up just like that. There's no other country with this variety, Japan is a paradise for rail fans.
Would you be able to film a video like this at an Australian railway station? I wouldn't expect 2 hours but in the morning peak central platform 5 or 6 or Fortitude valley platform 3 and 4, the get trains every 3 minutes for about an hour.
惚れ惚れするね~!其れから鳥肌が立つね〜!
Fantastic video! Various trains and frequent departure make railfans very excited. Especially the detailed information of every train that makes me admire. By the way, may I ask which equipment and accessories you used for this video? Thanks a lot!
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
It was shot with a Sony AX40 and the editing software is Magix Movie Studio 14.
@@AUNZRAILFAN Thanks!! I am amazing that the picture is so smooth without a gimbal or tripod! And I wonder whether you were tired holding it for more than 2 hours🤣🤣
