  • Natalee Cramer was just 15 when she says she left her seat next to her father at a Dallas Mavericks game in search of marijuana. She would end up being kidnapped, raped repeatedly, and sold into a sex trafficking operation in another state. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber spoke with Natalee’s parents, Kyle and Brooke Morris, about the teen's experience, her rescue, and the search for justice.

"You don't know you're in danger until you're in the middle of it"..?!? ... NO Natalie - you should've known at 16yo NOT to go with strangers, NOT to try DRUGS/ NOT to VAPE, and NOT to LIE to your dad. Every poor choice lead to the expected outcome. Didn't go through much the first times she ran away, took her parents and home for granted - eventually had to learn the hard way.
Thankfully Natalie gets to live and talk about it. Parents still not holding her accountable for her poor choices and want to blame everyone but Natalie and her wilful poor choices. 13:40 "she was right there, sitting on the steps" - riiight, NOT going to cops asking to be reunited with her dad. Natalie's actions were calculated and sadly poorly thought-out. Can't blame anyone but Natalie and perhaps her parents.

I'm hearing a lot of "the authorities could've done more..!!" from the parents.
Typical, when you dive deeper into these stories that (on face value) appear like an innocent, helpless child was "abducted", only to find out that the girl willingly took off with someone in hopes of scoring drugs.
She clearly doesn't respect her parent's authority and has a history of substance abuse and running away from home -- yet the world is supposed to stop because a couple of deadbeat parents dropped the ball AGAIN.
The main reason that police don't rush over in unison in these instances, is because the need to allocate resources accordingly. There IS a HUGE difference between a child abduction and a teenager who ditched her parents to score dope, and if the police have to prioritize the two, they're going to be attentive to a missing infant or a small kid taken from the park.
The girl knew very well what she was doing, and the gaslighting needs to stop. Quit overusing the "trafficking" song and dance. This is a case of a runaway drug user, not a "missing child".

There is clear dysfunction there. There is nothing normal about that and it 100% affects you in everything. How you trust, communicate, interact.
