Her daughter is dead and the lawyer is worried about how the police spoke to his client? Get out of here. She literally had no emotions when she first made the call. She literally made the call like she was ordering a pizza. What a terrible human!
For as much as she cried, I didn't see a single tear. Not one, so her wiping her dry eyes while fake crying really irritates me.
He has nothing else to attack so he has to try to make the jury hate the cops and question their credibility because otherwise his client is sunk and he knows it.
What actually scares me is that some people are so dishonest that it's what their whole life is. They are also willing to take their lies and deceit with them to their grave rather than confess their guilt!

The cop showed more emotion over that little girl's death than her own mother.

Actually it happens all the time...and not usually an aiming situation..but a random stray bullet from an accidental gun going off
There was a report a few years ago of a two-year old shooting their mother. That's the only detail I remember for sure. I think it might have happened in a car.

I know that's their job, but I can't stand those defense attorneys. They will point the finger at anyone but the murderer. How does one think a police officer will react when they've just seen a deceased body - a child at that!! This is why parents continue to murder their children bc we have fools like this representing criminals for money. Some cases are worth not representing!

“I was trying to protect my son”. He’s two years old and would never be convicted of a crime. It’s clearly not intentional if a two year old picks up a gun and accidentally shoots anyone, why not just admit what you say really happened, because it’s not true.

I don't understand why he ruled the way he did on sentencing. If he thought she lied through her teeth then why not throw the book at her? Why not give her the max for all charges and have them go one right after the other? Awful that he did that. But, at least she didn't get away completely free and she will have to do prison time. Hopefully, when she gets out her son will know better than to ever associate with her but I guess it's going to depend on who raises him. If it's someone invested in believing that she was innocent and shouldn't have been in jail, they'll probably tell him his whole life it was him who shot his sister and his mom took the rap for it and he'll grow up mistakenly believing she's his hero. I hope that doesn't happen.

What kind of backwoods hokey county courthouse is this? Cops or not, you simply answer the questions. The judge allowing these folks on the witness stand to have full on conversations with the lawyer is ridiculous. Try that in any other courtroom across the country
