I didn't know this was abandoned, such a shame my uncle used to work here so I had so many parties here and I did gymnastics, seeing it all been abandoned in an actually ok condition is sad too
Yeah was quite suprised the place had been closed down but like many places now left
I worked in the bar at the leisure centre and trained in martial arts classes here. Was a great day in its time. Shame its been abandoned
Ohh thats awesome thanks for sharing with us heard it will be a demo job
If you’re in Scotland in the next couple months, Aberdeen Beach Leisure Centre is abandoned. It’s due to be demolished in “late autumn”
In the 80s they used to have motor shows in hall I remember sitting in a white escort RS turbo
Ohhh had no idea that's awesome :)
use to work here i knew it was planning on closeing to make way for the pool but such a shame, generally speaking it has a solid structure and should have remained open and tarted up. All these modern buildings which i also use to work at such as brighouse pool and sowerby pool are falling to bits made of cheap materials shitty plasterboad walls getting broken all the time, mdf skirting board turning to mush
shame but low budgets in calderdale for leisure
I would agree waste of a building and could be reused however modern buildings not made the same as all - Thanks for sharing with us
Went there on opening day when freshly built
Ahh that's awesome thanks for sharing with us
Wow didn't know it was closed, use to go with my Dad when i was younger, pretty sad. Moved away 20 years ago and thinking of moving back, but looks like half the town is closed nowadays.
Aha feels like alot of west yorkshire is like that nowadays
i came here when i was like 6 to see a train thing and now to see it abanded makes me wanna cry
Yeah its a shame tbh should be left but it's the way things are
11:22 i did athletics here not long ago in like 2019 it's so weird seeing it abandoned i thought it was still going
Aha so many places like this gone now over the years
Mate this could be interesting or not but theres this abandoned building in exeter next to the uni might have been an old music center but it has a sick garden and some tunnels that go underneath could be a good lookabout.
Ohhh awesome dude will take a little look when next mapping :)
My sister had her wedding reception here . It used to be a brilliant place this . Just left to rot away
I know far to many leisure places gone now it is a shame
Been to this building over the years when alarm use to activate.alot different when your walking around in the dark.security bit lame on days
Aha yeah totally different vibes can imagine this being demolished tbh
I boxed in there shame it was a great place
Yeah far to many liesure facilities are gone now
Calderdale council arnt fit to run a bath , never mind a towns amenities
Such a shame so much gone in the years
He’s not a copper , he’s a key holder for security company that’s monitors alarms in council
Buildings
Aha yeah was just a secruity dude
Such a shame in at these places just left and abandon
Yes so many places have gone throughout the country past few years
I always wanted to explore a abandoned place. But where I live there’s no places like this. As soon as something shuts down someone buys it and does it up.
Or they demolish it.
Aha all about luck and alot of travelling usually
Where do you live
Just curious about the lights did you leave them on?
A lot of lights were already on or auto we only left a few on as security came on site
Great vid mate lol
Glad you enjoyed the video bro
During the pandemic, the main hall was used as a morgue
Ohh really had no ides thanks for the info
No 😂😂
It’s not abandoned, it’s been closed to be rebuilt 😂
So knocking it down and no longer used for its purpose sounds abandoned to me 😂
Same thing
@@BeardedReality they’re actively working on it not exactly abandoned, abandoned is somewhere that’s no longer used or occupied, it is no longer used however it is still occupied
@@colemason1623 they’re actively working on it, so it’s not unoccupied therefore not abandoned
Came here to say this. They've closed Halifax pool because its supposed to be built down here with a new leisure centre
Bad form to go about leaving things switched on and windows open guys.
The security knew about the access points as we told them and tbh the place should not be accessible in the first place if you think about it so not bad form on my end 😅
It’s accessible because people like you break in!
Such a shame
Agreed far to many liesure centres and facilities gone now
Would sort the homeless problem right out.
Aha agreed could be converted for use however they very rarely are
@BeardedReality Yes, because the people in the government don't really care. Why on earth did it close down anyway? The youth of Halifax will suffer. I met Ryan Giggs there in the early 90,s at a soccer skills week.
It’s not braking an entry if no one live in there 😂
It's not breaking and entering at all simply entering
Have the police not contacted you?
The police have no need to contact me as I have not broken the law
Not been a couple years abandoned 😂 only since March and is still part of the council this is breaking and entry 😂😂
Think you find going through open access is not against the law it's civil tresspass. Its not breaking and entering simply entering - side note thought had been abandoned for a few years looks that way
Genuine question. Why do you get so panicked if you're not commiting a crime? You both legged it at security. Why not just say hello and that you'll leave and show you didn't break and enter?
Because half the fun is in the chase but we did wave at the guy 😂😂
Its where all the crack heads go to inject - saw this whilst out running around the area
Aha maybe that's why they are gonna knock it down then make its a nicer area
What a waste of money it's evident the powers that be should come under scrutiny, total waste of tax payers cash
Agreed so many places like this now gone bust and left its a real shame but we do need more phone shops takeaway and vape shops tho
