Strangely depressing to watch this when I was one of the bricklayers who helped build this place in the late 90s. Claim to fame, me and my mate Norm built those hexagon-shaped steps down into the kids pool. Sad state of Huddersfield today when what should be thriving businesses are going derelict like this place.
Breaks my heart. I was a member of this gym for over 15 years. I hope the regulars found an alternative and the staff and personal trainers were able to get work elsewhere.

This makes me upset as I live very very close to this gym and as a child I looked forward to come to this gym with my dad to go swimming especially when it was fun day and there was loads of floaties in the pool I did baby ballet here since 3 years old and it started my career
if sewage is in that pool shows there is a lot of history of filth of that pool that was never told to the public i went there as a child never went back made me ill , that should never have happened to a swimming pool thats just pure nasty.
@@BeardedReality if they ever try make it in to a food place i will not be eating there. If they make it a swimming baths again ?? I will see what things can be done. to shutting the building down , the only thing that looks good for now , is to be a factory 🏭

I worked on reception there for years. Best days of my life. Good team and good members. Seems such a shame to see it run down and vandalised.
Couldn't agree more its a shame how fast its been vandalised however in a lot better condition than most places

Couldn't you fill the pool and charge for use over the Summer months they'll never know we won't tell. It's black because theres no chlorine in it.
Aha its also backed up sewage honestly you can see the turds floating in the pool 😂 come come to beards turd pool

I did spray disinfectant around the pool but still left me feeling dirty lol

I once went there to check it out however with so many pools in Huddersfield not suprused I went under a true waste tho
