I completely agree with your remarks. I bought my '1st' GH4 w/12-35 f2.8 + 35-100 f2.8 in 2014 mainly for the 4K DCI, then I bought the DJI Ronin S to handle the lack of IBIS, I got the cage,, the Smallrig VCT shoulder rig, the V-lock battery plate and V-lock batteries for all day shooting , three Samyang Zeen cinema glass T1.5 for low light, the Tilta Nano for easier focussing on the shoulder rig and the gimbal, the second GH4 to cover second angle and not having 2 card slots, the YAGHE for the 10bitt 422 colour, large HDMI and twin XLR inputs, 8 x Aputure Amaran led lights for the low light deficiencies, the V-Log L (bit of paper from Panasonic), the Atomos Ninja V. Xrite Colour Checker Passport, the Davinci Resolve Studio for editing, colour grading and NOISE reduction and no overheating in 10 years...... So I know how hard it is the put the GH4 out to pasture.......
My GH4 still making me money as of last week. £300 for a corporate event. A used GH5 in the UK is about £400 but I still don't quite need it yet. Don't forget the power of a Tripod and good lighting. Live well and travel the world with the money it can still generate, even in 2024.

Wow. The GH4 had no IBIS for real? I forget how long ago that was already and how Panasonic took awhile to have these now common features. Even the GH series favored small size over video features at that time. I do think it helps to have a bigger body for video but Panny needs to return to small photo cameras too. 🙂

Still love the GH4 though.
