- Peugeot 404 1967 Limousine has a saloon (sedan) type body with a front located engine powering the rear wheels.
It is powered by a naturally aspirated engine of 1.6 litre capacity.
This unit features overhead valve valve gear, 4 cylinder layout, and 2 valves per cylinder.
It has an output of 62 bhp (63 PS/46 kW) of power at 5600 rpm.
The engine transmits power to the wheels by means of a 4 speed manual 'box.
The Peugeot 404 weighs a stated 1043 kg at the kerb
I owned a 1969 Peugeot 404. It wasn't fuel injected. Mine didn't have the front seat armrest and the rear vision mirrors were on the front door. Other than that it looks pretty much the same. Mine did 220,000kms without any major repairs. Was driven at high speeds, on pretty average roads. Mine was assembled in Australia so it had the McPherson front struts and 13in disc brakes on the front. We put Marchal quatz halogen globes for headlights as we drove a lot on country roads.. They were brilliant . My favourite Peugeot.

Kugelfischer injection and Super Luxe model : metallic paint, leather upholstery with armrest, large hubcaps and chrome, well stainless steel side window surrounds.
The injection was made to challenge the DS 21 Pallas from Citroen This is a 64 or 65' model, single front indicator lens, old dials in the dashboard, spare wheel in the boot (trunk) and round rear reflectors. Please note : you need special oil for the rear axle and this must be renewed quite often DO NOT DO NOT fill it with hypoid oil, the gears in the 404 are made of brass and bronze and they cannot stand Hypoid oil, you need a Castrol oil that is also used in classic Ferrari gearboxes - no joke.
And as far as the Ferrari link : Enzo Ferari's personal car was a metallic grey Peugeot 404 injection like this car, which he loved !

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. :-/

Oui effectivement c’est un moteur injection ,mais habituellement les versions injection ont des compteurs de vitesse gradués jusqu’à 190 et non 170 sur les modèles avant le millésime 67.
Il semblerait que soit le moteur ou soit le compteur ne soit pas d’origine au modèle.
Ce modèle n’est pas de année 1967 selon le tableau et les fermetures des portes, les cataphotes... c’est bien avant 1964.

C’est curieux . Il semble que ce soit une « injection » . Or le compteur de vitesse n’est gradué que jusqu’à 170. Celui des injection, l’était jusqu’à 190.
Retrouvez lui ses enjoliveurs. Elle a l'air en bon état mais quand on voit l pont rigide, la propulsion, la technologie était en retard chez Peugeot. Il n'empêche que cette voiture garde beaucoup de charme et était confortable. Défauts: tenue de route moyenne, volant en travers, chauffait, rouille. Mes parents en avaient une.

Fuel injection, a Becker radio, and a chrome side strip do not make a limousine. A divider between front and rear of cabin does.

Dans tous les documents, cette voiture est répertoriée comme de l'année 1967, mais plusieurs personnes ont déjà écrit dans les commentaires que c'est de 1964.
Ha si j avait sue qu on les aimerait toujours autant en 2022 j en aurait acheter tout un hangars et je les aurait bichonner ha avec des si on refait le monde ou on cie du bois faut voir mdr

Bonjour a tous l erreur en 1967 les compteurs etaient ronds sur fond gris métal et les clignotants bicolores orange et transparent par contre très beau véhicule cela me rappelle quand 1967 mes parents m avaient acheter une 204 et pour eux une 404 toutes deux vert foncé vert bouteille un vieux née en1948 merci à tous

Non c'est une injection (à essence). La plupart des automobiles étaient à carburateurs à cette époque et c'était justement le cas des 404 premiers prix. Les «à injection» étaient plus performantes.
