Another great ACDC lyric is off "aint no fun waiting round to be a Millionaire" .... line: I got patches on the patches of my old blue jeans. They used to be blue, when they used to be new, when they used to be clean...... Love that one. Bon was a poet.
The original lead singer, Bon Scott, wrote this about the night he spent with a big girl named Rosie. He saw her again a year or two after the song came out out and she had dropped a good portion of her weight. The reference to "weighing in at 19 stone" refers to the British method of weight measurement. One stone is the equivalent of 14 pounds, so Rosie was roughly 266 pounds.
Shon !! You are so much fun to watch !!! I laughed out loud at your reaction to this song….AC/DC songs are all about partying, picking up girls, sex, having fun and more partying….no hidden messages..lol ..keep those AC/DC reactions coming my man !!!
Saw this tour in London. It was absolutely immense. The atmosphere was beyond electric, the place was rocking big time and from start to finish, the crowd was wild!!!! Dancing in the aisles and the floor was jumping. Even the arena staff were dancing too. Never experienced anything like it. However, such a good natured & friendly crowd. I was deaf for days after 😂😂😂 Hard to describe the experience, you just had to be there!!! 🤘🤘🤘
I can't tell you how many times I've seen them in concert, but I'm 61 now and it still makes me get up and bounce around the room (or even exercise to) when I hear them play. I'm also a danger on the road whenever they come over the waves on Sirius, lol. I always had stage-right floor seating so that I could enjoy my Cliff Williams on bass. I grew up with THE best music eras ever.
We have to remember all the guys were in their 60's when they played this amazing gig in the River Plate Stadium, Argentina back in 2009. The biggest mosh pit in the history of live music surely. There were around 150,000 crazy Argie AC/DC fans there each night of a three night gig. Unbelievable.
Great stuff shon. I can’t wait to see your reaction lol, this is one my favorites from AC/DC. Would love to see you react to more Van Halen, Hot for Teacher and Runnin With the Devil are my picks!
I'm with you, Shon !! Great live performance !! When I first heard this song ('76 ??), on the radio, I had to pull my car onto the shoulder of the road. and turn up the volume. I heard of AC/DC earlier stuff, but never realized they were "Neck-Deep" in the Blues, and became a rabid fan right on the side of the road. I saw them twice after that, with Bon Scott. Even in the early years, they were rock'in !! Angus ran around the stage like a "Mad Man", and laid on the stage, and spun around, and played while it looked like he was having a Fit !!
As the guy below said,, Bon Scott ran into this lady in Tasmania, after he had his fun' with her,,, he brought the rest of the band to see her... and she ROCKED all of them,, ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!! true story.. Bon said this in an interveiw in 77'
Always has been one of my favorite AC DC songs! Was lucky to see the original Bon Scott and AC DC sing this song live in the late 70s. Rockin fun times!!
The song is about an obese Tasmanian woman, Rosie, with whom the singer (Bon Scott) had a one-night stand at the Freeway Gardens Motel in North Melbourne.[3] In addition to pointing out the woman's size, the singer finds her to be one of the most talented lovers he has ever experienced. The song's first verse reveals Rosie's substantial physical measurements (42"-39"-56"), and that she weighs nineteen stone, or 266 pounds (121 kg). On the Live from the Atlantic Studios disc, however, Scott describes the titular woman as "... a Tasmanian devil ... weighs 305 pounds (138 kg)...," a measurement that differs from the "nineteen stone" lyric.
We'd been in Tasmania and after the show [Bon Scott] said he was going to check out a few clubs. He said he'd got about 100 yards down the street when he heard this yell: 'Hey! Bon!' He looked around and saw this leg and thought: 'Oh well!' From what he said, there was this Rosie woman and a friend of hers. They were plying him with drinks and Rosie said to him: 'This month I've slept with 28 famous people,' and Bon went: 'Oh yeah?!' Anyway, in the morning he said he woke up pinned against the wall, he said he opened one eye and saw her lean over to her friend and whisper: '29!' There's very few people who'll go out and write a song about a big fat lady, but Bon said it was worthy.[4]
Awesome to see people opening their eyes and experiencing the greatest rock and roll band of all time for the first time. Thank god for the internet as much of this music was suppressed on Corporate Radio
Have you covered them live in Glasgow during 1970s doing Let There Be Rock? If not, it will blow your mind. Angus has the energy of his 20s and is mind numbing. Give it a try if you are ready for the ride. 🇨🇦🔥🔥🔥👍🥇💖
The internet is great... From my perspective, watching this young brother's reaction to AC/DC and even waxing a little philosophical on the lyrics... How can you put a price on that?😅❤
You know how we went when we were young when the music came out. I love your reaction. You feel like we do. Maybe listen to Peter Frampton's "Do you feel like we do" live.
In an interview Malcom was told "Critics say you have 12 albums, and they all sound the same". He said, "that's a BS we have 13 albums that all sound the same."
You need to check the official video of “It’s a long way to the top if you want to Rock N Roll “…by AC/DC and hear the best rock song ever that has bagpipes in it !!!👍👍
No that ain't their best live performance you've ever seen. You have to check out "Let there Be Rock" (Apollo Theatre, Glasgow, April 1978). That will be the best Angus Young in the zone performance you'll always remember!
If AC/DC is your jams you have to do yourself a solid and watch these guys called 2 Cellos doing AC/DCs Thunderstruck I love your reactions but doing 2 Cellos especially AC/DC omg I would love to see that and it would give you a shock and awe at how creative people can be so please do yourself this favor and its totally worth it and its worth it for the people watching your reactions and as usual you rock😍🤙
You gotta check out The Who, they're an old British rock group and were amamzing live. Try either, The Who - Baba O'Riley (Shepperton Studios / 1978) The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again (Shepperton Studios / 1978) The performance from this concert are insane and the high quality of the videos is an amazing experience to watch
Yeah, if it’s Bon Scott doing it. It makes me crazy when these reactors do live stuff before checking out the studio version 1st. Case in point, Brian Johnson doing Bon Scott material.
If you got the chops do the song “Let There Be Rock” from the River Plate concert December 2009. Angus does damn near 16 minutes of kicking ass guitar work and a solo in the air. Granted it is a longer video than most to get by the censors but the time flys and it’s probably their greatest performance of all time even if they were considered old after all these decades. You won’t be disappointed!!!! Just saying!!!! So says Austin Tx. 🎸🎸🎸🎸😍😍😍🥳🥳😎🍸
This is a live version after the band’s first singer died, and while I do love a live version I prefer the studio version with Bon Scot. Most reactions to AC/DC tend to focus on Brian Johnson in later live versions and sometimes I wish they’d do a little of the older stuff. Definitely recommend Highway To Hell, probably the most famous song of theirs sung by Bon Scot.
A SEX song...that also makes you LAUGH 🗣️🗣️🗣️ Great song. Love this live version from a 3 day sell out concert in Buenos Aires ❗ What energy in that venue. WOW 😲
A HALLOWEEN MUST SEE/HEAR Classic song & video,, The Guess Who - Shakin' All Over ~ Skelton Dance video 🎃 👻 TRUST ME on this one my music lovin' brother!!!👻🎃
"She ain't exactly pretty, she ain't exactly small. 42 -39-56 You can say she's got it all." That's got to be one of the best rock lyrics around.
Makes me smile every time.
Coulda soon it was got alot!... never to late to learn.
"...but you give it all you got.. weighing in at 19 stone." In the UK one stone is 14 lbs. That means Rosie tipped the scales at 266 lbs. lol
Another great ACDC lyric is off "aint no fun waiting round to be a Millionaire" .... line: I got patches on the patches of my old blue jeans. They used to be blue, when they used to be new, when they used to be clean......

AC/DC is the best hard rock band to ever be.
The crowd at this concert is a beautiful thing. My fav live versio !❤
Shon !! You are so much fun to watch !!! I laughed out loud at your reaction to this song….AC/DC songs are all about partying, picking up girls, sex, having fun and more partying….no hidden messages..lol ..keep those AC/DC reactions coming my man !!!

Definitely one of the best live performances I have seen! 🔥🔥🔥
they use to play this song so much faster back in the seventies
age is a bitch
At this point I don't know what's more fun, the music videos or watching your reaction to them. Keep it up
Excellent reaction!!! Hype song. AC DC has a lot of them. Great solo. Great song.
BRO ANYBODY THAT DON'T LIKE ANGUS IS STRAIGHT UP A HATER, dude kills it every time

Ah, I believe if you look it up you'll find that it was more like 220,00 over 3 sold-out shows. Regardless, a lot of people.
Great stuff shon. I can’t wait to see your reaction lol, this is one my favorites from AC/DC. Would love to see you react to more Van Halen, Hot for Teacher and Runnin With the Devil are my picks!

Honestly, if you want some more Angus check out 'Let There Be Rock' from this same concert. That's where they let Angus off of his chain.
I saw these guys in concert and they were amazing, back in the '80s of course. Just tells my age but one of the best concerts I've ever saw😅😅
This is in my all time top 5! Bon Scott, the original lead singer sang this great too
that crowd knew what was coming!

Saw them in 1981, it was electric at MSG.
Great reaction ....... the man almost melted that guitar. Pure fire. Fantastic story in the lyrics too!
Have you covered them live in Glasgow during 1970s doing Let There Be Rock? If not, it will blow your mind. Angus has the energy of his 20s and is mind numbing. Give it a try if you are ready for the ride. 🇨🇦🔥🔥🔥👍🥇💖
Nah I haven’t, I’ll check it out!
Rosie riding the train! Too funny!
Acdc are the goats of rock and Angus young is a true rock god
I could watch that 50 times in a row. That’s how good that jam is .
former lead singer bon scott met a heavyweight in tasmania and this is what the song's about
THis has to be.. hands down" 1 of the best solo's Angus has done!!!!!!!!!!!
You absolutely NEED to see their concert from Paris 1979. I would recommend: Live Wire.

Angus definitely works for his pay🤣🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🔥
Seeing AC/DC is at the top of my bucket list but RUclips will probably be the closest I'm gonna get! 😏
That had to be the best concert ever.
Even more creative, in the same vein: "Big Balls" (AC/DC, of course!)
In an interview Malcom was told "Critics say you have 12 albums, and they all sound the same". He said, "that's a BS we have 13 albums that all sound the same."
I seen them in the late 90s I believe and they hit so hard ❤
I was like 9 or 10. There was cigarette and mj smoke the whole time 😂
Great reaction Shon 😂😂 Great band ✌️
Back in 1979 I think it was, Rolling Stone magazine called this the best rock and roll song of all time. They weren’t wrong.
Yo’ reactions are epic bro! Great tune for years!
🤣 I was waiting for you to notice Rosie 😆
Was waiting for this & you didn’t disappoint!
You need to check the official video of “It’s a long way to the top if you want to Rock N Roll “…by AC/DC and hear the best rock song ever that has bagpipes in it !!!👍👍
This is not only hard rock - it is Blues Metal at it 's finest!
Shon, Rosie is a real girl they wrote the song about, she was a Barmaid in Tasmania.
I'm sure you've heard this is a true story Bon Scott the original singer Hooked up with a Tasmanian woman "42 39 56 You can say she's got it all"
My favorite group since I was a young buck (71) .went to see them twice. Unforgettable
Just imagine the energy of Angus 30 years ago.....
Used to get your money's worth at concerts. Should see Angus playing this in 79

You have to do "The Jack," from this same concert as well as "TNT."
"Weighing in at 19 stone." That's 266 pounds.
42 39 56 you can say she got it all!!🤘
My favorite part about people reacting to this video is their reaction to the huge blow up doll sitting on the train on the stage. It's hilarious.
Great reaction as well buddy told you!!!!
Haha Oh shit. I am so glad you found this
She weighs in at 19 stone, that's 266 pounds, that's a Whole Lotta Rosie, oh, man, I love that gal!!!!!
Adored your reaction to em. 🔥
That's most fans fav songs should check out Angus back in 79 doing this song....
42-39-56 are Rosie’s proportions. 😂

Angus speaks 'Guitar'... English his second language.
They need to take that guitar off of that man 👍👏👏👏👏👏🐐
Let there be rock from the 1991 Donnington concert would be a good one
The original song was sang by Bon Scott. I prefer his voice, unfortunately he passed and this is the second singer.
You gotta check out The Who, they're an old British rock group and were amamzing live. Try either,
The Who - Baba O'Riley (Shepperton Studios / 1978)
The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again (Shepperton Studios / 1978)
The performance from this concert are insane and the high quality of the videos is an amazing experience to watch
