- What started out as a good day on the dirt , turned into big struggle. I was determined to keep trying and some serious sweating went on lol. The big girl didn't let me down. KTM 690 enduro r
I have had many rides like that! After which, I sit with a beer saying to myself, “WTF was I thinking!” A glorious drubbing.🎉
All part of the adventure 👍
And you took the time to record... that's exploration and patience... take care and thanks for sharing.
Well done big fella .. God loves a trier!! 👍🏼
😂 thanks . Not as difficult as ironman 👍 thanks for watching
Brilliant footage watched from the comfort of my living room. I’m doing some of the TET in October on a 690 and this gives me inspiration not least to get a bit fitter. Look forward to the next one.
Thanks Ian, welsh tet or further afield? Definitely helps if you can manhandle the bike around if need be without collapsing afterwards 😂. Thanks for watching 👍
@@myktmadventures Sorry, meant TAT (leaving from outside Boston) not TET but pondering a 690/701 and getting on the lanes in the UK. My 890 is just too heavy. Your neck of the woods (quite literally) looks fabulous. Just hope the eco nutters don’t spoil that too….. Cheers, Ian
@ianross225 690 701 are great bikes , I do like the 890 myself but not ridden one , obviously a bit heavier but I've heard the suspension etc on the 890's is great. I had a 1090r before the 690 and I loved that bike. Hope your trip goes well
Excellent job dealing with that pesky tree mate.A very challenging ride.I'm surprised you don't carry a little bit of gear in a tail bag on your adventures.I have one of those folding Japanese saws, very handy.Keep up the great videos, very enjoyable, especially as I'm not getting many rides down here in cold, wet winter in Aus.
Cheers Steve, I do carry a saw and some other bits and bobs in my backpack but I'd already made my mind up early on I wasn't going to attempt to cut the trees as they were really thick , probably 9inch diameter. I'm just so glad she snapped but I never saw that coming. Hope you manage to get out for some rides soon mate . Thanks for watching the channel 👍
Hi pal, great video again! You need to send me some routes. Ill be happy to join you down that lane im sure we will get up it. Keep going
Thanks mate, will have to meet up and have a go at it , the biggest obstacle has gone now 😂. Let me know when your free 👍
Well done! I thought you were stuck for sure. Then that tree just crumbled and opened like a door.
Thanks , me too! It was a real shock tbh, but a good one, as it was my only way out of there
Great job dealing with the problem tree.
Main reason i carry a small limb saw with me.
Thanks 😀 , yes I carry a saw but that tree was a bit big to cut with my folding saw , was so happy it snapped
Enjoyed watching, glad you made it out
Thanks 😀 me too 👍
Good job your a big strong boy Steve.
Certainly had a good sweat on😅👍
Nice vidéo, great adventure but not for a newbie for sure. Take care . Enjoy to see your vidéos
Thanks junior , this was a real adventure , I didn't think I was getting out at one point
@@myktmadventuresnext time a folding saw in your tank bag 😉
Yes I do carry a folding saw, but I wouldn't have attempted to cut that tree , it was about 9" thick , I couldn't believe that it snapped , I was trying to get it to drop down
Well done mate. 👏
Thanks mate👍
Who needs to pay extortionate gym membership fees when you ride an Enduro bike 😂
Well done for ripping that tree to pieces!
Exactly 😂 that was a workout I wasn't expecting 😳👍
I always carry a couple of tie down straps, two joined together would have helped pull the bike up or at least secure it while you grab a breather. having said that I would have forgotton I had them and prob gone down ther other side as a passenger and hoped for the best lol
Yep straps are a good shout , I normally carry one but didn't have it on me on this ride , tbh I wasn't expecting to have to go back up that hill , but carrying on down the lane was the worst of the 2 choices . Just glad to get out ... eventually 😀
If you've never been in this situation you've never done some proper riding! Well done getting out :)
💯% cheers . Thanks for watching 👍
Nice! FYI, always carry a saw!
thanks 😃 yeah I do carry a small folding saw, but the size of that tree I wouldn't have attempted to cut it with my saw as it was too big👍
I think that lane is on wiltshirebyways not sure you Have made a great video
Cheers 👍 ah right OK I will have a look to see
I’ve got a pocket saw you can borrow. Some of that wood is so rotten you could break it off.
🤣 I've cut many a branch with my pocket saw and chain link saw but this wasn't a branch it was a 9" thick tree. It sounded rotten in the video but I promise it didn't feel rotten when I had to man handle it around 😴. Thanks for watching 👍
You’ve got more patience than me mate, I can’t be doing with overgrown lanes, perhaps not so bad on a lightweight 2 stoke bike, but otherwise i avoid them. At least you gave it a go 👍
😂 I do like a challenge tbh but for a while I was wondering if I'd be able to get out . All good though 👍
@@myktmadventures I'm hoping to head over to Bishops Castle on w/e of 2/3 Sept, camp the Fri/Sat and do a loop on the saturday. Was gonna go and do the northern TET loop but probably not enough time for that. A few have said it's decent over that way, route stays down towards Knighton and Moelfre. Hoping it will be fun!
@twowheeledadventuresuk2739 sounds great have a good one 👍
Sorry for the numpty question …which tyres are you preferring. Picking up a new 690, previously ran Motoz Rallz on my 890r - but interested to see what you find best given the varied terrain you ride. Cheers
No probs mate, I run a motoz tractionator desert ht as my last tyre and that was a really good all round tyre I'm currently on a motoz enduro i.t and it's a great tyre for grip but I'm not sure that it will last quite as long as the tractionator did. Hope you enjoy the 690 they are real good bikes 👍890 are great too but little bit heavier
Where's this one Stevo
I'll send you it juls 👍
this would be great with a partner, some tools and a bit of planning / rock moving - could be very nice to ride then eh, very f'in naughty though - i can tell some of them steps must be 4ft
It would be a good challenge . Easily 4ft and very greasy
@@myktmadventures keep it marked, we will do some rides together and go back to the bugger and make it rideable (sort of hahaa)
Ha ha , great, ready when you are👍
@@myktmadventures hard to organise via RUclips, how do I find you away from here? Are you on any trf pages?
I'll send you my email later we can arrange then 👍
