    You sir are a great teacher, I’m someone who has zero hockey knowledge, just picked up the game to play with my friends who have a team in eashl, so naturally I am garbage at the game but I just enjoy playing with the boys. I just hate that I suck because they do get disappointed in my playing abilities, this has taught me so well that I’m now the best offensive defense player on our team! I play right wing and can now play decent offense(still can’t score for shit mostly on AI goalies) but have a great defense game so it helps us out tremendously

      I'm glad this helped! It takes time to improve at this game. Keep at it!!!

    It happens all the time where I make a good play but then the puck magicly bounces back to them

    • @HackAttack34
      @HackAttack34  Год назад +4

      Yeah it's tough to get a handle on defense when that's happening but I want to say if you feel the game not going your way with bounces, take a step back, and observe everyone on the ice, and play more conservatively. Stay in front of your man, don't over pursue, and wait for when he cuts in to the slot to make a play. Not a concrete answer as I'm still trying to figure out the best play style for unlucky puck bounces but I think it's a start to try to help get some momentum back. Only attack when absolutely needed.

      @Baalzz302 Год назад

      Puck bounces are rolls of chance, each roll is heavily influenced by game momentum. Game momentum is built by completing passes, shots on goal, hits, goals and intercepting and stealing puck from opponents. Momentum can work against you when your opponent builds theirs up and diminish yours. Goals are also momentum based, you notice a lot of terrible puck bounces and shots trickle in as if your goalie isn’t even there. So, if you have a ton of game momentum built up, more of your shots in net will start to go in. It’s complete trash, but that’s how EA builds sports games.

    As defenseman, do you tend to get more aggressive at the blue if you see your opponent B-lining in and not moving east to west?

    • @HackAttack34
      @HackAttack34  Год назад

      No when he b-lines it in, you want to dart back and beat him to the slot. Puck carrier speed is increased so if they're at top speed, you can easily get burned if you react slow. You also slow way down when pokechecking so don't try that until you have an angle to do so while in the slot.
      When they go east and west, that's when it's best to hold blue line because they won't be moving that fast and you can stay on him.

    • @Baalzz302

      As a defenseman in 3’s your job is to never let the opponent behind you. Not worth being aggressive unless you have a teammate back with you.

    Hey man I need some advice on how to one timer this year. We mostly play 3s and we never get them to go in even with the ability. Anybody have some tips?

    • @HackAttack34
      @HackAttack34  Год назад +1

      The only change from this game to last is the ai goalies ability to react more and dive over to save the one tees. If you're good at staying square to the puck and holding your right stick down so you get a powerful shot and isn't whiffing on the shot, then all you have to do to get the shot to go in more is staying wider on your positioning when your teammate passes it. If you're teammate is around the circles, then you want to be roughly middle of the opposite circle at the dot or down low back post. This way the goalie has to really move to save it. Understand that the goalie can save any one tee shot because ea programmed them to so the shots aren't automatic goals like how they were in the past. But the way to make them more consistent is by staying wider on the shot, perhaps having gold one tee, and getting a powerful shot animation.

    What do you feel is the best defensive build.

    • @HackAttack34
      @HackAttack34  Год назад

      Not one that I can answer. Best build can only be defined by your own playstyle and what you think is best. I have a builds guide if you want to see the builds that I use if you want to try out new builds. My favorite build is the PMD 6'1" 160 lbs.

  • @Jeffreydrummond25
    @Jeffreydrummond25 Год назад +1

    Could you drop a PMD build for 6s

    • @HackAttack34
      @HackAttack34  Год назад

      6s I use the same build except I drop my weight to 160 for speed. You can keep tape to tape if needed, or switch that out for stick em up, or whichever one you want. Build won't help against bigger builds so you can use this build if needed.

    • @Baalzz302
      @Baalzz302 Год назад +1

      @@HackAttack34you don’t need more speed for 6’s, lol. 6’s is more about cycling and team play than breakaways. 3’s is where you need the extra speed.

    • @HackAttack34
      @HackAttack34  Год назад

      @@Baalzz302 The meta for 6s is 94, 95 speed with high agility. Why is that? It's not necessarily for the breakaways, although the chances do increase the more speed you have. But it's about the break "ins" that are more important. The quick in and outs when breaking it in allow players to get around defenders for easier break ins. The speed and quickness allow for players to beat defenders to the outside or inside for potential breakaways or setups in the offensive zone. Or the speed can be used in a dump and chase into the corners. The slower builds are just too slow for the pace that many teams want to play 6s. And you need the speed to match them in order to keep up.

    i've tried 80-82 accel and it feels little like my guy is skating in mud when trying to change direction (backwards to forwards or vice versa)

    • @HackAttack34
      @HackAttack34  Год назад

      Note that in turns, it takes from your agility more than accel. But I'm assuming you mean from a standstill, to then moving which is accel all the way. I find that when I have the puck, then it seems accel matters to get that extra boost quicker. But without the puck, it feels the same whether I have it up or down all the way. Feels broken imp.

      Keep your accel at 83-84 min. Anything more doesn’t make much of a difference to worry about. Speed at 93-95 is more important, same with agility.
