- The cattle sale barn is an important community asset in small towns and cities all across the heartland. Brad Haun oversees the sale barn operations in Fredonia, Kansas. Every week, ranchers will bring their stock to the barn where buyers make their bids on the cattle before them.
When those heifers went into the ring. Pat Goggins, the legendary auctioneer cattleman out of Billings MT, would tell 'Look at those baby dolls."
I spent a lot of hours waiting for my dad to load his trucks.
Great Job keeping your community alive and in return everyone wins !!!
Great video. When I was a kid, my Dad would give me a day off of school to go to the salebarn with him. I learned more from them old cowboys than from most of my school teachers.
Fredonia, New York, home of Grange #1 saying hello to Fredonia, Kansas
My dad's family run the Mankato Sale Barn. Been running 2000+ head recently. I hope this stuff never goes away.
Mankato....a NATIVE AMERICAN term. Been stealing 2000+ head recently....which actually should belong to the Native American tribes who OWNED your land....right?
STOLEN LAND from Native Americans. YOU are THEIVES.
@@robertmcspadden5764 Native Americans never owned beef cattle, let alone the primarily English breeds that were at the sale in the video, you can't say they own something they never came in contact with.
Thanks for showing a very good and a very accurate video about your cattle sale barn. Brian from Canada.
Hey we love you Canadians Thanks from the Iowa United States
Here is ACCURACY....ALL this land once belonged to NATIVE Americans. YOU STOLE IT. You profit from it. YOU ARE THIEVES....and nothing less.
hauled out of there on a scorcher hot day. very nice people working there
They sound like nice people and keeping your community alive along with ranchers you can hardly go wrong Johnny Grabian .

God Bless the Small Towns !
My brother is an old school buyer who hits 4 sales a week buying dry cows that get a littel grain then ground up and sold to soccer moms for astronomical pricing. MARKETING
I love to listen to a GOOD Auctioneer. I go to Auctions - not to buy - but to listen to the Auctioneer.
THIEVES of Native Americans. That is what you all are. So you can sell cattle......so what? All the land you own is not yours. It all belongs to Native Americans.
Look guy . Unless they are grazing on reservation land without tribe permission they are not theives . I agree the eroupeans stoles the native American lands . But no one is alive today that did that so ghey are not thieves it sucks that that happened I'll agree .and the government neess to leave tribal lands the hell alone . But these men had nothing to do what happened so.long ago .
good job.nice thing the sale barn is
Way to go Trevor!!
Eat the chili !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
in north dakota we have trouble trying to open a sale barn their was two sale barns that close and theirs talk of a third one closing unknown when but their was two that close the one in minot north dakota so now we have to drive 100 to 200 miles to haul cattle so i want to build one and if some one can help me to build one
Their all being marketed in South Dakota because of our higher markets and with cheaper fuel it pays to transport them
Travis H i know its cheaper to haul some where but right now i need a sale barn for some of us that won't haul that far. right now theirs a sale barn in turtle lake north dakota that their using as a weight station and they will let some one to rent it out to be use as a sale barn and i'm looking for a investor to do it with every thing is up to coed and it can handle 2000 head.
Travis Samson Rugby and devils lake have decent barns but I hear yah its tougher every year
i know but its 100 miles to go to rugby or 100 miles to go to kist i live in between and i have to drive 240 miles to go to the nearst sheep sale
Well maybe someone who knows how to run a good business will come in and its everyone's job. Community and ranchers alike building something everyone is the winners . Travis Samson
2:28 that pasture needs help quick
Poor baby’s
good job.nice thing the sale barn is
Yes, good job rattling off the auctioneer chant. Keep in mind, that ALL the land where you graze cattle was STOLEN from native Americans. Proud of it? Ask any Native American what THEY think.
Robert mcspadden unless you live on a reservation or another country you are living on native American land also so you to are a thief
