I've actually been able to do almost all the rides mentioned in this video, and my favorite had to be the Speed flip. I've done Toxic for the first time in 2022 and I've never gotten better cycles. That's mostly due to structural issues and restrictions from our "lovely" inspection company. It's still a great ride, I just wish it ran like it used to.
Ridden a remix many times at Southport Pleasure land. One time as it was a quiet and slow day. The op decided to say over the pa. "Insanity mode unlocked LEEEEETTTSSSS GOOOOOOOOOOOO" as the speed and angle ramped up to max
I've not riden a Speed Flip or Energy Storm but I do have an amusing Remix story, when I was younger (I forget exactly how old or what exact year but it was early 2000s) I was at the Montgomery County Fair in MD and Strates Shows had one of the only one of these in the country (I remember seeing online that there were only 2 or 3 in the entire united states) and I saw everyone avoiding that thing, like they were scared of it which is really saying something considering how many of them went on the Zipper or the Top Spin right by it, and this was on a saturday afternoon so it was a pretty busy day, and kid me just went ahead and rode it, fun ride, don't know why everyone else at the fair was such a baby that I was the only person who rode it that day and they were running empty cycles just to show people what the ride even was lol
The Remix does invert. The Remix II, the four arm version of the Remix that is also more modern, features the ability to raise the gondola crosses upwards beyond a 90° angle, sometimes even up to I'd say 120°. This is less than the ~175° of an Energy Storm, yet I personally find the Remix II in that regard to be significantly less comfortable, as the spacious seat and restraint design causes you to slip around in your seat, leading you to end up in various uncomfortable positions. Also, btw, Moser Speed flip is one of the best rides ever.
The energy storm was a Soriani & Moser design, with the rights to build being obtained by Zamperla when Soriani split from Moser and became purely a manufacturing company for Zamperla.
One of the most prominent Moser Energy Storm rides must be "Extasy" at Wiener Prater - this machine features an elaborate light show and combined with loud music and an intense cycle, the ride experience is just bonkers!
The Remix and Orbiters are just super fun. Techno Power by showman Eckl does not have the best cycle, but man is it still worth it. The forces are just nice. Not the most intense, but still leg tingeling with 4g. I ride these european flat rides for over 20 years now and I still keep buying re-rides for the Remix models and for the orbiters. I just love them. The seats on the remix are not only KMG styled, but they are being build by KMG. Hints why KMG also offers this ride on their website. This is a colab between Tivoli and KMG. And to be fair these seats are IMO pretty comfy, even with thick thighs and wide hips. The Speed Flip and Energy Storm are insane, but I don't know if I would put it in the same category as the Remix or Orbiter, especially since each of these rides plan to deliver a completley different ride experience. IMO they are not really comparable. BTW if you need footage (offrides, POV's and stabilized onrides) from the german fair curcuit, my footage is free to use (creative commons). And thank you for covering flat rides again. We flatride enthusiasts don't have a lot of places to go.
I rode Remix the other week and it was the worst experience I've ever had at a theme park! I love thrill rides and have never had an experience like this before. As soon as the ride started picking up speed I knew something was wrong. Since the ride throws you outwards feet first, you're basically experiencing positive gs for the entire duration of the ride. The blood drained from my head and I started greying out, then I closed my eyes and spent the remainder of the ride trying to stay conscious and not vomit. When I opened my eyes halfway through it was as dark as when they were closed due to the intensity of the grey out. Was nauseous and felt sick for almost an hour afterwards. I know a lot of people like positive gs and greying out but I don't understand how anyone could enjoy such sustained forces for so long. I guess I've learned my limit lol
They also altered the grab bars as you call them after a kid came out of one in the UK, you now have to put your arm through the side bar, only one I've seen is Nathan Smith's extreme and the ex Evans machine still having the original bars fitted.
Is "Techno Power" the same as a Remix but just a different name? I've been on TP at a few places, most recently in Ocean City, MD. I was reminded that I get motion sick far too easily nowadays. Is "Extasy" at Werner Prater a locked-in Speed Flip? I have recollections of going on an "Energy Storm 3" at some point in my life, but I don't remember exactly when. Maybe Reithoffer's had one for a spell, because I think I was on it at St. Michaels Carnival ... but maybe I was at a different fair.
The first one (Techno Power) was built in collaboration with KMG. So they are not just KMG Style gondolas. Those gondolas are really from KMG 😅 Tivoli also built Move it 24 (Spin Out) in collab with KMG at the time.
Still on my personal FRF wishlist (while acknowledging that some of these will appear this season): Matterhorn / Flying Bobs - this was mentioned in a previous video, and I look forward to seeing it. . Hurricane / Downdraft . [old-school and/or unique] Boomerang ... I remember seeing this at Casino Pier a LONG time ago, when I was too young for such things [8:00 mark of ruclips.net/video/YwKNQgnkJyQ/видео.html] 'Sidewheeler' (or maybe 'Sidewinder') ... looking a bit like the inner workings of a watch, this one-of-a-kind SFGA installation was something to see. [a brief image can be seen in AT's first episode of the history of SFGA]
Fun fact: the only time I've come off a flat ride ill is when I rode the remix. I can literally ride the most intense ride at my local fair and be fine, but the minute i ride the remix I come off dizzy and queasy, and I don't know why :/
Soriani and Moser “Extasy” Energy Storm 5. Rode it back in Port Charlotte FL back in 1998 through 2008.
It sits in an empty yard off hwy 41 in-between Tampa and Gibsonton. I've seen it.

I've been on one similar to remix called twister, I enjoy it every time
Speed Flip is such an interesting and intense ride, but Energy Storm is probably a top 5 flat ride for me.
Our favourites
4arm Gerald Reeves "void"
6arm Albert Holland's "Extreme"

It could be health issues too make sure everything is om if that happens more
Toxic is such a good ride. Shame it wasn’t at my local funfair this year.

the speed flip doesn't tilt to a completely inverted angle, that's the energy storm
Czech company ak rides also build their variation on the extreme also maybe you should look into adding them to the video also 😎
