- So here is my entry as part of Ryan Leach's July composing competition !
Thanks to this small contest, I was actually able to finish a short yet complete orchestral composition for the first time.

The picture for this competition inspired me to write a piece on the reconciliation of a hero and his homeland.

This was your FIRST orchestral composition??? Amazing!
Nice sense of musical story telling w/ some magical sound which inspires me as a guitarist who composes original music that tells a story for my channel & uses similar visuals matched to the music that represents them so I like hearing music like yours since it has heroic melodic feel that uplifts and makes the mind wonderfully imagine another world!

Disarming beginning, then a sweep upward, trotting middle with changes and variation, and satisfying closing. Well made sir.

Congrats on finishing your first work!!! Major accomplishment, and hopefully the first of many. Enjoyed listening to it - nice melody and creative harmonies, not too crazy but breaking out of the standard diatonic chords to add interest. Good mix and orchestration too!

What a propper piece of music here! It is really enjoyable to listen to! The only little thing I'd dare to mention is that the volume seems to be lower than most entries I heard, but it's ok for orchestral music, I think)
