well Aqua is still doing concerts :) so it's not that they stopped it's more that they are not mainstream anymore due to not selling out their style to keep it 'popular/hip' with the younger generations seeing as music has sadly like T.V for young teens and pre-teens becoming more sexualized =/ but i still love their music as i grew up listening to their music and other singers and groups of the 90's and earlier {thanks to my parents and grandmother having records and cassette tapes from the 80's and earlier XD}
Their videos are so aesthetic and she's so full of charisma that even if she just opened her mouth without making a sound I'd keep watching her anyways and the team too, of course. They really deserve more fame.
Thats actually why we love her so much. She has taken so much style and inspiration from the past. Its good to see artists like her and aqua ,who dont rely on drugs and alcohol for their music.

I think what I like about Aqua was that although their first few songs were cheesy as hell (Dr. Jones, Barbie Girl, Cartoon Heroes), when they write songs like this, and 'Turn back time', it reveals that they can write brilliantly poetic and melodically beautiful songs that really elevate them as a group.
As much as I love the earlier music from Aqua, tracks like this and My Momma Said are the direction they need to go. They're mature, they allow Lene (good lord she's hot) to just sing, and the Aqua gang seems to have a knack for putting good videos with the tunes. Keep this up and see a return to the worldwide music scene for this group.
I was so sad when they went back to Barbie voice and overcheesiness with Megalomania. I really hoped they will stay more to the ground, My Mamma Said and Back To The 80's were awesome - and they even performed well, so I don't understand why they turned to the other direction again. This is their only mature track on Megalomania, even Aquarium and Aquarius had few of them :( I still remember hearing Like a Robot in its original version (which was basically a rock song) at a concert, it was fabulous. Then the album version came out and meh. Same for Dirty Little Popsong and No Party Patrol.
I am not sure why this particular song I could listen to several times before getting tired of it! And Leena is so Gorgeous!! Such a babe… love her voice too!!

They released it as a physical album in Denmark where it was certified Gold for shipment of copys, which is 10.000 copys. So it wasn't many produced and I don't think that they are easy to find even in if you live in Denmark, where I can find 4 copys for sale (condition near mint with an asking price between €50-€100) and beside that there are only one copy in Austria för sale and two signed copys in Finland (€200 each) that I can find in all of Europe so not only in the US they are hard to find, I didn't have to search for mine though since I got one of those "hard to find" kind of brothers that bought it for me as a gift about 8 years ago. 😊❤️

I love this song! I showed this to my boyfriend and he was like "that doesn’t sound like the Barbie girl band" My friend introduced me to them and I didn’t even know she did Barbie girl. I think it just shows how talented she is.
When I was a kid, I still remember when they first came out, my sister was mad on them, and I heard there songs everyday, now too look at them to see how they have grown from the corny music they once did to the music they are doing now. Still love them as I did in the 90's.
Aquarius was released in 2000 and Meglomania in 2011 so 11 years after, in between they also released a Greatest Hits album in 2009 with 3 new tracks on it, Back to the 80's, My Mama Said and Live fast die young.
This song is the only reason I still have a RUclips account, if it was available on Spotify I wouldn't have much of a reason to stop in here (never really been a fan of videos, I've always preferred listening to music to watching music). Love the song and this grown-up version of Aqua, hopefully they'll continue to do stuff along this line.
@@artandsketchwithmarlon1435 or maybe it's because the album Megalomania were released in a very limited number of copys in Denmark as a physical CD where it was certified Gold for shipment of copys, (wich is 10.000 albums, their goal was Platina wich is 20.000 wich they didn't reach (compare that to Aquarium and Aquarius that together sold in over 30 million copys together world wide, so I would guess that the fact that it was made and sold in a very limited edition in physical album and it was never any big promotion for the CD album or the digital album so it just passed most people by and the Jesus part doesn't have so much to do whit it.
Most people only know that they made the album Aquarium (-97) and Aquarius (-00) and there weren't any big release or any making a comeback when Meglomania was released in 2011, I think that it wasn't anyone else than us "Hardcore Aqua fans" that knew about that they released Meglomania, and not that they made 3 new tracks on their greatest hits album from 2009, Back to the 80's, My Mama Said and Live fast die young.

I harken back to my favorite composer J.S. Bach and his invention of pop music. :-)

This song is the only reason I still have a RUclips account, if it was available on Spotify I wouldn't have much of a reason to stop in here (never really been a fan of videos, I've always preferred listening to music to watching music). Love the song and this grown-up version of Aqua, hopefully they'll continue to do stuff along this line.

@@artandsketchwithmarlon1435 or maybe it's because the album Megalomania were released in a very limited number of copys in Denmark as a physical CD where it was certified Gold for shipment of copys, (wich is 10.000 albums, their goal was Platina wich is 20.000 wich they didn't reach (compare that to Aquarium and Aquarius that together sold in over 30 million copys together world wide, so I would guess that the fact that it was made and sold in a very limited edition in physical album and it was never any big promotion for the CD album or the digital album so it just passed most people by and the Jesus part doesn't have so much to do whit it.

Most people only know that they made the album Aquarium (-97) and Aquarius (-00) and there weren't any big release or any making a comeback when Meglomania was released in 2011, I think that it wasn't anyone else than us "Hardcore Aqua fans" that knew about that they released Meglomania, and not that they made 3 new tracks on their greatest hits album from 2009, Back to the 80's, My Mama Said and Live fast die young.
