I don't think anyone would argue against you being an artist, but artists who are RUclips presences do eventually end up self-sabotaging themselves into being more of an entertainer to capture a broader audience and to maintain a consistent stream of uploads. And thus, the world ends up shaping the artist more than the artist ends up shaping the world. I respect that you choose to speak at your own pace and choose individuality over genericism.

@@TiffanyPoonpianistTiffany. Knowing when to pause, rest and meditate. Slow the roller coaster down for a bit. Consider and think. In my eyes you are a brilliant, gifted artist with a passion for classical music and sharing that. Prioritize sometimes bite size chunks are better. If I were your big brother sometimes I would say ‘sis’ slow down a bit, give your brain a pause and relax. Take a moment to look be grateful for the beauty of nature and again RELAX. I don't agree. There is a piano player named vkgoeswild, and she does many covers for various artists. She tours and does concerts. I don't see her trying to entertain people by going outside of her very high piano skills. She creates sheet music and has a patreon page. Many people use youtube to generate interest to other pages. I don't know the context of this discussion, only responding to the comment about youtube corrupting artists, which doesn't have to be the case.

"I'm an artist first.. Well, maybe a human first. But then sometimes I also forget to eat..!" this is the best sentence I heard in 2023, should be the subtitle of your diaries! 😁Honestly though, to be able to encounter concepts and ideas is what makes us human, and it's a precious quality. But as in practicing piano, it can be stressful or unsettling when we are thinking to much about a precise point, I believe it creates difficulty and makes us feel kinda lost. We have to keep a certain balance between consciousness and "spontaneous genius" in our spiritual life as in practicing musicality. It's counterproductive to try to define an idea or a feeling, their consistence and limits, by the way maybe we don't even need to append a name on those..?🤔So, keep wandering with a careless mind, aesthetics happens by itself when we let it flow!☺

This video made me shed a little tear. It made me remember so much from my past and how I used to feel. And to see someone who I can relate to on human level is so amazing to me. I'm 'only' 16, but still... I honestly feel very scared for my future, though I'm trying to keep striving. Thank you Tiffany.

I cry only a few times a year. I remember when you got that Steinway. A month later, listening to your livestream while washing my dishes, I suddenly stopped everything when you made it cry and by the time I reached my laptop you were crying too. I didn't know I could ever hear this through all the layers of encryption. So today I got emotional when I understood it would leave and I shed a tear when it left. It was a good piano for you.

Sharing your existence with someone is not just being physically present at the same time as someone else. Sharing our existence is sharing our feelings. Our joys, sadness, security, fears, our beauty, our ugliness. You already share a lot with us. Thank you very much. There are feelings that can only be expressed through music and art. The cerebral abstraction called language alone is not enough.

I first saw your videos in 2019-2020 with your vlogs about New York (because I like New York) and Steinway piano playing when I got interested in acoustic pianos in general. I was already aware that classical music doesn't have as much of an audience as the mainstream stuff so I understood that I shouldn't be watching with a hyped up feeling and just watch to relax and vibe. Also, I don't think it's narcissistic to think about us remembering and thinking about you, it's normal. First, from a "living on Earth" perspective you want usually your loved ones to remember the cool stuff and nice things you did for them. And second, an artist is not popular unless the fans keep the name and legacy going! We keep you up! I remember showing my coworkers that majority of professional piano players don't make INSANE money, I showed my coworkers Lang Lang salary for example and how he has sponsorship deals and he's like the top 1%, and I showed other examples including yourself which shows you can still make money with professional piano playing but it is highly competitive and there are years of mastery to it. I clarified to my coworkers that you [Tiffany] play really well and have your RUclips channel to make revenue so it did make my coworkers think and really see what its like and not just assume things like "no one listens to classical music" or something. They liked the fact you had 300K subscribers and that was cool as it is.

  • @pedrosoaresporfolio

The infinite that we have to live is always a wounded infinite. And that is a good thing. The questions "Who am I willing to love?", "To what extent am I available for trust?", "How am I willing to embrace life in its tears and in its convulsions?" have tattooed a question that we do not see, that we rarely think about, but that is intrinsic to everything, precisely to everything that we are: "For what things do I feel capable of suffering?". And this has nothing to do with some confused self-sacrificial masochism. Rather, it is the other way around. Where we read "to suffer" we mean "to live", to invest our desire and effort gratuitously, to listen deeply, to accompany us step by step with unconditional love, to give our lives. Just as the seed does when it sinks into the earth, where it is as if it were dying, and thus takes the risk of mortgaging and transmuting its own existence in order to bear new fruit. Can we think about life in any other way? We certainly can. And unfortunately many (out of fear, out of selfishness, out of insecurity) deal with it from that perspective. But that's not life. There will always remain, even if well camouflaged, an apparent life, mutilated in some fundamental dimensions, a life to be realized. An adventure that has only been sketched out. A gift that never became one.

(Edit: Maybe I should’ve watched the video before commenting I just got to the part where u said your diaries are made to be read by people so this probably doesn’t apply at all 😅)
I’m not through the whole video but I wanted to say this before I forget about it. You said that when you reread you diaries you relive the emotions again, which can be very taxing on the body/soul and I used to go through that as well, but I realized something that’s helped me a lot with that, and I don’t know if this will work for anyone else, but I just wanted to mention it just in case it does. Basically the way I see it is that the urge to document our lives and write in diaries comes from not being able to express ourselves properly so we use writing as an outlet of those emotions, which is very helpful but as you said, reading your old diaries makes you relive it somehow, so what I do is write in a completely unintelligible way so if I ever go back and try to read it it would prove to be very difficult, now when I go through my old stuff, I don’t feel those emotions anymore because i don’t even know what I’m writing. It’s a very weird way of doing it, but I personally think that diaries aren’t meant to be read, not even by us. Sorrry for rambling on and on I’m bad at getting to the point but yea good luck!

    A few thoughts:
Time Off - Everyone needs it. Post on inspiration, not on obligation. I think everyone would rather see inspiration any day.
Emotions - I think that I am the first male in 2.5 billion years to realize that females feel things differently (being more geared toward love and reproduction, and all that that entails) (like security) (it is my theory, but I think it is impossible to test). How do males feel things (if you are curious)? Like smashing things (maybe that's why we build things :/ ) (sorry, but we are brutes!)... yet maybe that is cluelessness (as my philosophy defines it) at work (which is fixable) (so says I)...
Existential - Now you are into philosophy (oh yes, your degree!) (and note that future philosophy will be better than the past, having learned from its failures).
Existential Crisis - Having an existential crisis? Go back to your basics (when you said 'you just want to play') (or when you said that you only care about two things: your playing and your charities). RUclips offers you the venue to play and be heard (and be watched). Playing live is another matter (easy at the low end, difficult (competition) at the high).
Catching Up on Old Videos - While you were taking a break from RUclips (and other social media? I wouldn't know), one tends to catch up on old videos (unless WE need a break!). So nice rendition of La Campenella (one of your old videos that was featured) (at least to me)... (and note that to me, as a composition, the piece seems more like a sports piece (proving one's physical agility) than an art piece (exploring deep intellect and emotions), and note that future music will be better than that of the past (if it builds on it), therefore, don't look toward popular music for that 'better', that perennially tunnel-visioned industry is at a true eternal nadir now, one that it will never get out of (which has been woefully said for the past 3000 years, no doubt). Need sleep now. Sweet dreams (I will try to imagine your (ever elusive to a male) female feelings)...
Diaries - Note that that has been my go-to venue (writing, not diaries) when working through mental and emotional matters. I did try to keep a diary once in my life (teen years) when I wasn't writing (which now serves thinking, which, if I had to place anything before the piano, that would be it)...

This older piano is so much better than the other new built model B you had. Not sure how it sounded in real life but on recording that thing was so generic and outright annoying....it's like Steinway has forgotten how to make a decent piano....

My mom said she had no time to be depressed with 5 children…You’ll look back, and wonder why all the worry? Be in the present and look around at what you have. Later you will see how many wonderful things are hidden in even brief encounters. Drop the word existential and you’ll probably feel much better. “Existential quest, existential journal entries, existential day….quiet the mind, forgive yourself for anything, you do not have to know the future, understand anything….just live the mysteries of life with its joy and sufferings. Meaning of life is always the present in front of you….appreciate…..peace….❤

This video is very relatable. I've lived in the same neighborhood since I was a child too and have many nostalgic days, reminding me how pleasantly simple things were. Although in addition to the nostalgia, I also experience feelings of pride and progress having been exposed to many more artistries, experiences and incredible people since then, which I hope in many people, like me, would be fuel to excel even further and broaden one's horizon even more.

After the patreon stream this morning, I felt a little sad for Young Mr. Piano too. Even through the screen, I can appreciate the time you two spent together, and I am glad he got a little send off in the video. I am sure he will remember you fondly, and I hope his story goes on to new and wonderful things like I know yours will.
