Nice bit of farce, well-played. An underrated series. The only comedy acting I've ever seen from Bernard (Secret Army) Hepton. The relationships aren't as strong as Eric Chappell's other sitcom Rising Damp (which would be asking a lot), but it's still an above average sitcom, nicely written, with a competent group of actors who work very well together, and was always a favourite of mine. :-)

Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
