A bit of trivia - Edward Hardwicke, who plays the son-in-law, later played Dr Watson to Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes in the ITV series.

The first episode of My Old Man is a slight rework of the BBC Seven of One Pilot episode that starred Ronnie Barker as Sam Cobbett which aired 11 months earlier.
In early 1974, Paddy Russell directed slow moving ancient beasts on cheap, garish sets. And "Doctor Who - Invasion Of The Dinosaurs" too.
Clive Dunn and Edward Hardwicke. Perhaps both are wishing posthumously that this had been recorded a few years earlier and - like much videotape at the time - wiped.
