I welded a bar across the front of my dredge nozzle so bigger rocks stay out & i hardly ever have a rock jamb in my hose i live in the interior of AK so still a little frozen to dredge. Nice shinny for beginning of the year
It’s all in the plan, but after every video you post, doing something awesome in Alaska, and when Outdoor Boys post something in Alaska, I want to say “to heck with my plan, just go!”. Every day I go to work, I tell myself “one day, this will be the last time I walk through these doors” every day I’m a day closer to making my dream of living in Alaska a reality.
Outdoor boys brought me here and it makes me so happy because i got more to watch now not only from them but from you guys too im soo excited for all these videos
Hello, I just discovered your channel through outdoor boys Videos, I am your new subscribers, love your videos a lot, pls continue making videos like this :D
@@HowtoAlaska Thank you. I’m moving back to the USA this summer and am looking at getting back into dredging. I think the triple sluice is a great setup.
With your vids this past year your oldest and his clone younger brother keep getting older and older. Next thing you know they'll be wearing business suits. Excellent vid of your gold adventures of course.
@@HowtoAlaska It is so worth it as they get older, and you seem to be doing an excellent job, you and your wife. Hats off to you. And I don't even wear a hat. And I do mean with all THREE of course. Nifty life you are giving them.
@@HowtoAlaska When we go to the Russian River this summer, I was hoping to find at least that much...... wishful thinking. But have seen news stories on TV that Calif is a hot place to go for gold "foraging". Because of fires and flooding..... guess we'll find out and let you know, probably divulge our target "place" too...
Yep I do AC work with all the heat we are having....... work sometimes from can til can't. but tt 71 I CAN'T do this as I used to, haa. Look forward to your vids, thanks to you and your fam, sir.Though the last one on those mountain climbs, we were concerned. @@HowtoAlaska
I had a friend try to trick me with lead that he painted gold. I said hmm that looks like lead painted with gold, but cool. Then I was told of the trick…😎

That is some nice gold! Great video!
Would the body warmers that the Outdoor Boys use help at all under your gear? I use them all the time at work ❤
Now we’re talkin ! My kinda weather 🍻
Great Video! 👍
Interesting, thank you for sharing.
What kind of dredge are you running. Those triple sluices look like they work really well.
it’s a keene, they work ok, i need to get some gold hog mats i think to run more efficiently

Young man had that glint in his eye,
He has gold fever
Nice pieces
I have a 4” dredge if you weld a steel bar across your nozzle you will never get clog again .

They are more of the country boy can survive kind of guys than the business route😉

How much value in gold are you guys able to take out with the equipment each year?
Not much but we do a lot of different things each year. My goal would be to pull over an ounce this year
@@HowtoAlaska hell ya! you got the goal, a few nuggets already, and plenty of time to reach it.

i'm from brazil i do it here only with diamonds and a little gold the water from the creeks here are hot
How can you dredge for gold in the snow
Because there is a creek under it🙂🥶
All of the hose is supposed to be in the water not just the end
yep, but it worked enough to get the job done
As havent seen any vids put up in a bit, hopefully you and the fam are doing well. Gotta work on those subscribers......
Too busy this summer with the day job, I have some in the pipe

We used to throw some fools gold in when people weren't looking while panning.
I had a friend try to trick me with lead that he painted gold. I said hmm that looks like lead painted with gold, but cool. Then I was told of the trick…😎
1989.00 per ounce but only 63.97 per gram
You are correct! My brain calculator was a little optimistic
@@HowtoAlaska based on what you went through to get what you got it should be 350 a gram🥶
I got a friend of mine that has backpack dredges that you can suck golf balls up with that he sells
i hope you strike it rich.
