Gold Fever = Hypothermia In Alaska

  • We Finally got or gold dredge out in the winter for gold mining. We took advantage of our remote off grid cabin in Alaska to do some gold dredging through the ice. Even though we hadn’t produced gold in the winter while prospecting for gold in our frozen creek, we put the gold dredge in the water anyway. We found a good amount of gold but almost got hypothermia, will we strike it rich?

It’s all in the plan, but after every video you post, doing something awesome in Alaska, and when Outdoor Boys post something in Alaska, I want to say “to heck with my plan, just go!”.
Every day I go to work, I tell myself “one day, this will be the last time I walk through these doors” every day I’m a day closer to making my dream of living in Alaska a reality.

I welded a bar across the front of my dredge nozzle so bigger rocks stay out & i hardly ever have a rock jamb in my hose i live in the interior of AK so still a little frozen to dredge. Nice shinny for beginning of the year

But have seen news stories on TV that Calif is a hot place to go for gold "foraging". Because of fires and flooding..... guess we'll find out and let you know, probably divulge our target "place" too...
