2020 may I delivered my baby in New Jersey. It was really wonderful experience.. as you said doctors and especially nurse are really good, kind hearted and will have a smiling face all day... myself and my husband was asked to stay at hospital till discharge. They called us to pack our stuffs for 5 days. Then we were provided food inside the room.. we were inside the room for 3 days and got discharged. Not allowed us outside the room. Also mask which is important. During May 2020 since pandemic situation was at peek... but they kept us really good... likewise we felt good. I wish you will also have safe delivery

Can you tell about the documents or birth certificate process for baby. As we are in H1B visa and expecting baby in Jan 2021 so what are the paper works to do for baby like passport, visa etc?

Hi bro
Birth certificate is the first and most important thing
The hospital will take care they will register the birth
All we need is we have to go the government office and collect the birth certificate
And SSN , this also hospital will initiate and you will get in to your address mail
Once you got birth certificate and SSN
Next step is apply passport which is very easy here u can go to post office and apply
Once you got the passport you can initiate OCI with Indian embassy

One thing I wanted to leave a feedback, your comparison with our hospitals in india is not accurate. I had a baby delivered in India and one here in USA. In india they don’t do c-section just like that. Just like here they wait for the baby to be delivered normally. Based on the condition they take a decision on c-section. Also hospital condition in india is also good. Here if you pay money you get the service. In india service is primary. We should never degrade our own country. I am posting based on so many of our experiences. Appreciate if you could keep that in mind.

Hearty Congratulations to both! Just wanted to share this based on my experience and writing it here for those who are not aware of this. During delivery hospital would use multiple service providers apart from GYN. Those providers need not be from hospital and there can be chances some of them might be outside your insurance network. Do check with hospital if all those providing service during delivery (for both mom and kid) are in your network. If not, insist on having someone from your network. Usually those services don't require stringent search criteria as you'd do for selecting GYN or Pediatric doctor. I overlooked this and had to pay out of network charge for one service provider.
