That hitch adapter you are using is the problem, not the rack. You can see the adapter is moving in your hitch mount.

So the hitch wobbles a bit, but does it hold the bikes securely in their trays ?

I was able to carry an adult bike and 3 kids' bikes on one trip but it was unstable every time I hit a hump/bump. The hitch manufacturer retrofitted the Yakima (shortened it) and now it's very stable.

Interesting. I noticed that ours jostles around a bit over the bumps, but the bikes are held solidly and don't move while clamped in the rack.
BUT, like you, the rack shakes in the hitch receiver as the insert seems slightly smaller than necessary for the receiver.

According to the hitch manufacturer, the Yakima is too long that's why it's unstable. This is what it looks now:

You need to lock the anti rattle on the hitch so the riser will not wobble , i also got a hitch from ogp i use for 4years now for my bike rack and still good no wobble as long as you secure it properly

I would say that’s the hitch itself. I have had 4 suv cars all with 2” hitch. Not one of them moved like that. I have the same bike rack and it’s solid. Only moves when the car is going over bumps.
