Awesome camper and awesome vid. I've come to the realization in the last year or two that there's no need for me to ever buy a lesser quality item of any kind for the rest of my life. And both the camper and iPhone you used to shoot this video prove why: quality, ease of use and enjoyment -- built to last.
Awesome little camper! Lots of headroom for us tall people, though at the expense of under storage, still a great find for you and the misses with the little one, don't think you could of done much better! Enjoy it!
that is absolutely cool. you have emergency exits of sorts, in case left door or right. i dont see fires starting in middle. plus as small as it is, 4ppl can sleep in it. also A/c could be added fairly easily if one desired. and a very small unit too. wouldnt take hardly anything to cool it off
2 inches of insulation on the roof, blocks the sun out very good. Turn on the fan and the thing is a dam wind tunnel 3 speedsto choose from. It takes 4 mpg off a gallon of gas to pull it, I get a nice 19 mpg in the Honda Pilot pulling her. These things have been around since the 50's this company has nailed this design down, addressing most issues with the design.
Finally found the trailer that I was looking for! Bigger than a teardrop trailer and from what I just watched in your video this is exactly what I have been hoping existed! Nice vid bro thanks for sharing
lol funny no back then I did not; but I'm a finical advisor part time and just started listening to him. I think he has some very good advice, for me I always look at re-sale value. Also if it can be insured, insure it. I've enjoyed this unit for 4 years now, I can sell it for more than I paid for it.
I just watched the whole video, and I have to say, it looks AMAZING! The beautiful curves, and the aluminum on the outside, combined with the wood inside, my favourite so far! Wish we had this one in Norway. Haven't checked that close yet, but I haven't seen anyone! You can be proud of that one, and thanks for the video! :)
I love the wood grain interior that is really beautiful, and the aluminum body looks very aerodynamic. This micro model looks to be well suited for a couple, but to accommodate a family would be stretching its capabilities. The standard 1 axle trailer has 2 advantages, more headroom and meal preparation facilities, at the expense of aesthetics. I guess it comes down to a person preference of form over function.
@DMFmonster thank you, the battery is tucked away on the right side under the counter. Very clean installed, running tv 2 hrs a night, running fan at night, and lights and water I've used the battery for a 2 night stay. I have yet to ever run out of power.
one year deployment payed for it, I thought the time together would help make up for the time apart. We love it, makes you appreciate your family so much more, thank you for the nice comment
How well something holds its value is what I look at; Brand new this thing cost $18,000 six years ago. I could sell it easy for $14,000 today, to replace it today would cost about $21,000. I insured it for $200 a year, it will be repaired and or replaced if its get damaged. Also I could never see myself in anything else, its perfect for my needs.
Beautiful camper, man! I remember you telling me about that a long time ago. Glad you're able to pick one up. Reminds me of a DeLorean with the Al exterior (of course the DMCs were SS, but it all looks the same, LOL).
Base model is $8195.00 the 560's start at $19090.00 and go up from their. I started my search looking at Little Guy campers (fiberglass), almost bought one for $8000.00 fully loaded, then I looked into resale value, not so good. Consider resale value, Campinn, Airstream etc really can't go wrong. Thanks
I use the campground bathrooms, no one even the large camper use their toilettes pain in the rear to clean. They are expensive but I can sell it for as much as I paid for it and the quality is outstanding. Its value is a 10 out of 10, allot of folks just don't understand that so they go out and buy a pop up, which is fine but dont expect to re sell it and get 10% of your money back. So in reality this unit is cheaper than them in the long run
They go down about $1000 a year for the first 5 years and if in good condition hold their value at 5 years. This is why I purchased one of these, if you don't like it you don't loose your pants on selling it used. Its like a Jeep; sold the Jeep also, New cost me $24,000 .... 6.5 years later sold for $19,300. Re-sale is everything! Think Re-sale
Are you joking? I just sold my Jeep and now tow this with my new car a Honda Pilot 4wd 2012. You don't even know its back there, the trailer fully loaded is around 1400lbs. I love the electric brakes, highly recomend !
i gotta say awesome! this trailer is the best ive seen . All the storage and the surprises this has i gotta start saving too...thanks for posting this!-gary/texas
Love that thing!!! Looks like it belongs on the moon but that makes it more apealing, If I had one custom made I probably lose the hand carved wood and go for plastic immitation to save more weight and cost, but its lovely and looks very comfy inside, well done, and good video :-)
these run for $22,000 NEW, they are built for a lifetime and by hand. These are not for everybody, but for those of us that like to own perfection these fit the bill nicely. The link to the site is in the video description
what a beautiful thing ! and all when objects in America seem to be getting larger and uglier; homes, TV's, phones, etc. thoughtful design is something i appreciate, regardless of what it is. congrats and happy travelling. a great conversation piece to boot, i would imagine.
No problem, this thing only wieghts in at 700kg fully loaded at it heaviest possible is 1200kg; they have had some international buyers. Let them know I sent you they have a full website just google it in your area
Here in Ireland there are plenty of beautiful spots for camping all along the west coast...places like Kerry, Clare, Galway, Sligo...you'll be spoilt for choice. There's nothing like getting lost along the boreens and byways of Kerry and Connemara!!! I'd love to have something like a raindrop...really impressive stuff!!!
Great video, I have been looking for a video that shows a teardrop without ridiculous/unrelated music playing, and has its owner talking about what is good and bad about it, so thankyou!
Isn't it amazing how people like to post rude comments? Personally, I like the trailer...I have a Rubicon and would love to take something like this to the desert to prospect and detect. Ideal!
Well these days camping spots can run allot of cash, what I like is sleeping in my own bed. Hotels are DIRTY and bedbug havens, camping is clean and fun. Yes sleeping in this is allot more comfortable than a tent.
@Fenix281able Not too good at guessing I would say, I bought this one used for allot more than that. Visit the Campinn site, weather you build or buy research is very important. These Campinn trailers maintain value and once you cannot buy them new I suspect go up, if you just want something to thrash on Little Guy Campers makes units in that price range.
@superhawkn Very good point but I camp all the time, I find most folks do not use the bathrooms at all on their campers, this includes even the really large one's. Now for something to live in I would and could go for a 50 foot 5th wheel, but I will never live in a trailer for an extend period.
I love your camper...I want one now...I really do appreciate you taking the time to video it and put it up on youtube... Thanks... I've been looking for a camper and I really do like yours... Thanks again... :)... P.S. Do they have available AC units for when it's hot?.. I'm in Southern California and sometimes it gets pretty hot... and you gotta have AC....
Thanks for doing these Camp-Inn videos. You're right, there's not much out there in the way of videos and I've checked out all of yours (I'm probably responsible for your last 200-300 views on these)! This is a definite purchase for me and my family. I'm selling some land in the Texas Hill Country and as soon as that check is deposited I'll be ordering! Great stuff! Thx again for your work on these vids! Maybe a camping hack video in the future...tips, accessories, must-have gear?
lol we only watch movies, cartoons when its late and cold. At home my TV rarely goes on, TV in moderation makes it special when the family gathers around one and watches a good movie.
@MrTONYTONYM Mine is 4 years old but they price NEW in the $15,000-23,000 dollar range. The smaller models are around $8000; they are very well made and maintain the re-sale value and in some cases increase on re-sale. Once you see one of these in person anything else just looks cheap
funny ya I love that cheap little Jeep; The TV really works better camping than a computer and now I have a reason to keep my old DVDs. Funny I had a few friend that used to collect DVDs $25 x 1000 = $25,000 what a waste of money I told them at the time. The DVD's I have I purchased used, a small collection of 100 for $50 bucks.
None to speak of I use rock tamer mud flaps; my other vids cover those. These are Aluminum much tougher than a Paint finish and it doesn't rust like steel.
yes Dog I did see it a while back and the guy is meticulous in the detail he put into it and should be proud of the result. that said, you obviously have a garage to store yours in so why not just build one, build it with the wife and kids, make it a family project. I noticed that in the beginning of this video you 1. reference the teardrop you bought and 2. reference the phone you bought, maybe I'm just getting old but it seem you kids today take pride in what you can buy instead of what you can do with your hands. my daughter has always been there when I was building something just like I was there when my father and mother were building things together. when I built my teardrop and showed up at my daughter house (she lives 6 states away) the first things she said was "I so want to build one of these" and then she started designing it in her head, "we can take the kids to the beach and if they get tired they can sleep while we're cooking lunch" than she went into how did I do this, how did I do that, what's the cost, can I borrow your table saw mine sucks. I got a lot of calls what's the best way to make cabinet doors. point is, making memories for your kids is so much more gratifying than buying them. I've build train sets, club houses, doll houses for my granddaughter, (my daughter was a tomboy and would be insulted with a doll house) and like her husband replies when people comment on her looks "Ya and she can swing a hammer too". its a vary nice teardrop regards DD
We all have talents in other areas I’m in the service every minute I have with my family is precious; I was on a one year deployment when I purchased this. By then I missed her first steps and words but we went camping when I returned, in what I EARNED and we were nice and close. My time is limited; I will hit 20 years in the military in 18 months, that "you kids these days" is funny, I'm in my 40's my daughter is 5 and we will have another very soon, as an older parent I never have though of things in that way. The kids of today are smart, excepting, and have a more informative life than we could have ever dreamed of having. One thing that’s hurting the society as a whole is the absent father. We have a problem with men being men but that’s a whole different story. A hardworking single mom raised me; my Football Coach and the Service was my Dad. My daughter is 5 I've taught her to make fire, fish, shoot, cook and she can also ID every tree in our yard; she is an outdoorsman. Nothings better than family time, teardrops whether built or bought are a wonderful way to do it.
@skittles1854 yea, I just have no time to build one and their is no way I could do it this well. Good thing is mine is insured and has a blue book value more than what I paid for it. A home built is cool cuase YOU built it and the stores at the camp ground would be just that much cooler. Good luck!
@scdevon The Jeep does not bounce as much and gets better gas mileage when I tow this thing. Believe it or not, just got back from NC Outer Banks and she worked wonderfully
Excellent video! And you are right, that is one well-built trailer. I love it! Will have to see what kind of prices there are out there on a used one (we already have the Jeep!). Thanks again!
95% of RV owners never use their bathrooms, I do my thing in the same place the big RV owners do. Once you go the teardrop way you will never go back, no planning needed just hook up and go
Nice trailer! I saw one of these a few years back at Clear Lake in Oregon -- unfortunately, I didn't have my teardrop with me at the time. I hope you will check out my video of the one I built. I used to have murals painted all over it with scenes of the Pacific Northwest for my art/diy blog, Make It With Jason. Thanks for posting!
looks well built and very well i've seen people make their own out of whatever (even one that looked like it was made of fence posts and riged sheet metal no kidding) but I come from a family of giants and space is always the issue. we've been using a pop up for years that from the 1960's and we finally decided to stop using it as the back end is faling off. (not bad for lasting so long) but this is something to consider. think i might just rip up the old pop up and use the frame to make one
@MrTONYTONYM Fully loaded for a 3 night trip well under 1800 hundred pounds, make sure to get the electric brake option. The Jeep I pull it with gets better MPG when I tow this thing, WHY I have no idea? Maybe I drive slower, and bounce around less.
Very nice work, Beautiful camper exactly what we need to stay or anything extra, only what is necessary! Thank you for sharing video ) P.S.: Much Beater than factory made !!!
Excellent video, just what I needed to know. A really nice camper, just need to track down one for my mini countryman to tow. Would you recommend an older model or new though? Thanks.
wonderful camper! good video too, only thing I was hoping for; you did not show how it looks when you close down the kitchen area. also, do you take a potty and a pup tent to use for a rest room or only camp at places with those facilities?
@cb90222 Not better than a house for sure....in the case on an evac situation I think this would work great. Dosent slow me down, carries 8 gal. of water, 4 days of battery life, yet carries allot of stuff and give me and my family a secure place to sleep. In the event the SHTF I would load her up and hit the back roads :)
@Thailand032778 Depends which model you want visit the Campinn site and they have all the prices there. Also if your going to buy I have $300 coupons towards the purchase. I was camping last night in my 560
You are going to also save a lot of money that you would have spent on accommodation when on holiday. I'm not that keen on camping myself though, maybe because its always been under canvas.
Hey Dog..I very much enjoyed your video and that you seem like a great guy..loved that one of your important expense was gifts for your wife.. I also enjoyed that you appreciate that you saved and got it and loved its craftsmanship. I am looking at a base model private made for like 5,000 some guy in UTAH. Way to go for me.. this one is pure luxury but you deserve it ENJOY.
I've towed 2000 lbs with my 4 cyl 120 hp car, with 1000 lbs of people and stuff in the car. I have to let the clutch slip a little to get things moving but once it's rolling there's no problem at all. I'm not sure I'd attempt if my car had an automatic transmission though, as putting that much torque through it on the highway wouldn't be good for it.
Their nice but the build quality is like comparing a BMW with a 70's Pinto. These will hold about 80% of their value over a 10, 20 year period. The little guy would hold about 20%, I always make purchases on re-sale value (real Market value). You buy one of these for $20,000 and a year later you can sell this thing for $20,000. Theirs a waiting period for these, as they build your trailer they send you build pics too. It’s also an investment that you can insure,
That is nice looking trailer. It reminds me of the tiny camper of the 1960s that had an outside galley in the rear. Good luck with it. Wow all the storage and it looks roomy. How does it handle when you tow it?
Thanks for sharing This vid. It's in turn lead us to he campinn forum and meeting another owner to see the 560 in person. So we'd are sold and just need to saves up for a down payment. Saw on another post you have a brochure and a coupon for 300 off still hav those
@PrimeTargetSecurity cool, I love these little things and with gas prices the way they are I see no end to the market for them. Just place the video as a response vid and I will approve it thank u
it took fifteen years to save for that? lol. ive been to their web sit. theyre not that expensive. about six grand. they have those ones at gander mountain. but theyre no where near as nice. its beautiful man have fun!!! i got a little one on the way, and they wife and i are seriously considering something very similar. thank you for posting! be safe
Awesome camper and awesome vid. I've come to the realization in the last year or two that there's no need for me to ever buy a lesser quality item of any kind for the rest of my life. And both the camper and iPhone you used to shoot this video prove why: quality, ease of use and enjoyment -- built to last.
these guys thought of everything, I'm amazed they got all that stuff into such a small area.
Thank you, when camping I sometimes just lay down in the inside and admire its build quality.
Good for you. Something to really be proud of and share with your family.
It is truly a work of art.
That is so beautiful I'm speechless! You've got yourself something very special there. Enjoy it for a lifetime, Chris!
Awesome little camper! Lots of headroom for us tall people, though at the expense of under storage, still a great find for you and the misses with the little one, don't think you could of done much better! Enjoy it!
That has to be the first caravan i have ever seen, that I've thought - I want a piece of that. That thing is awesome.
that is absolutely cool. you have emergency exits of sorts, in case left door or right. i dont see fires starting in middle. plus as small as it is, 4ppl can sleep in it. also A/c could be added fairly easily if one desired. and a very small unit too. wouldnt take hardly anything to cool it off

I love the wood grain interior that is really beautiful, and the aluminum body looks very aerodynamic. The standard 1 axle trailer has 2 advantages, more headroom and meal preparation facilities, at the expense of aesthetics. I guess it comes down to a person preference of form over function.
Good job sir. That's gotta feel so good. Now on to the adventures!
I LOVE this video! Thank you for sharing. Blessings to you and your family. You seem like an awesome dad and husband.
@DMFmonster thank you, the battery is tucked away on the right side under the counter. Very clean installed, running tv 2 hrs a night, running fan at night, and lights and water I've used the battery for a 2 night stay. I have yet to ever run out of power.

agree its very frontier type camping, I love using all cast iron, percolating my coffee and being close with my family.
They go down about $1000 a year for the first 5 years and if in good condition hold their value at 5 years. Great Video. Thanks for taking the time to show your teardrop properly. I enjoyed it.
i gotta say awesome! this trailer is the best ive seen . All the storage and the surprises this has i gotta start saving too...thanks for posting this!-gary/texas
That is a very nice camp trailer, amazing it so light! You'd think it would be a lot heavier for it's size.

Thanks for posting!
looks well built and very well
i've seen people make their own out of whatever (even one that looked like it was made of fence posts and riged sheet metal no kidding) but I come from a family of giants and space is always the issue. we've been using a pop up for years that from the 1960's and we finally decided to stop using it as the back end is faling off. (not bad for lasting so long) but this is something to consider. think i might just rip up the old pop up and use the frame to make one
@chamblizi cool you have the down payment, keep saving
@MrTONYTONYM Fully loaded for a 3 night trip well under 1800 hundred pounds, make sure to get the electric brake option. The Jeep I pull it with gets better MPG when I tow this thing, WHY I have no idea? Maybe I drive slower, and bounce around less.
Very nice work, Beautiful camper exactly what we need to stay or anything extra, only what is necessary! Thank you for sharing video )
P.S.: Much Beater than factory made !!!
thank you so much, I do enjoy just looking at it
Excellent video, just what I needed to know. A really nice camper, just need to track down one for my mini countryman to tow. Would you recommend an older model or new though? Thanks.
Thank you so much, checkout the new vid on this camper link is just above comments
wonderful camper! good video too, only thing I was hoping for; you did not show how it looks when you close down the kitchen area. also, do you take a potty and a pup tent to use for a rest room or only camp at places with those facilities?
well you can tell you really love it .it looks well made good luck with it
@cb90222 Not better than a house for sure....in the case on an evac situation I think this would work great.
1 but I have gone on a trip with 4 folks sleeping inside, no issues
@PrimeTargetSecurity you make that video of your units yet ?
@MrAadef1 They have models without the bunk beds that a 4cyl can tow; for this model a 6 cyl is recomended
Thank you, good luck with your build
nice little rig...happy trails.
Good to see you again! Hope to make some vids with this baby !
Have a great day!
Mike
Youve got a very nice Trailer. Just the right one for my Wife and Me to make Holidays in the Netherlands :)
THank you so much, the traveling life is great!
It’s also an investment that you can insure,
So cool. The only thing I'd add is a gas grill! That's only because I love to grill on vacation.
Lovely camper I'd love one.really enjoyed the video thanks for sharing.
Saw on another post you have a brochure and a coupon for 300 off still hav those
Beenie Weanies and Grilled Cheese rules! Nice choice. Great video. Good luck!
This teardrop has the most room, great setup. Those lights have to get Hot, is LED an option?
Junior Henderson The new units are all LED this unit is 10 years old
Superbrightled.com
Swap out the old bulbs. The new LEDs are dimmable
@PrimeTargetSecurity cool, I love these little things and with gas prices the way they are I see no end to the market for them. Just place the video as a response vid and I will approve it thank u
@Doggorunning i want to be a long term camper.... and with the camper that you got it would go great with my ranchero cause of the smoothy rims
great video ;) i am building my own mini camper out of fiberglass and wood so is ligth and rust free
The smaller models are under 800 lbs no problem for any car.
So cool looking.Hot rod & futuristic looking.
yea and I find the I Phone is really shakey too agree
it took fifteen years to save for that? lol. ive been to their web sit. theyre not that expensive. about six grand. they have those ones at gander mountain. but theyre no where near as nice. its beautiful man have fun!!! i got a little one on the way, and they wife and i are seriously considering something very similar. thank you for posting! be safe
@chamblizi yea its a head turner, for sure
I love my little family, agree
