So I have a 10'9 7/8 WT switch rod I got for fishing the salmon river, the Oswego river and Oak orchard Creek here in NY State. I'm basically gonna use it for lake run brown trout steelhead and salmon using streamers, tube flies, egg patterns and nymphs. What would you recommend for a line set-up ?

Great video, thanks for posting. As an individual new to the sport of Spey casting. I’m looking for the following , which is probably out there somewhere, just haven’t found it yet:: suggestions for one or two casts, river right or left, wind blowing up and downstream.

Thanks for the great video. Very informative. Quick question though, is using the Rio single hand spey line a good alternative for any other line? I have a 10’ 9” 4wt Redington dually and was wondering if I could still successfully Spey cast with that line if I went three sizes bigger with the 7wt single hand spey. Thanks!

That would probably work well yes. 3 bump. Sometimes shops have demo lines that you can try. Ask them.

How do I choose my reel? If I'm fishing a 4wt spey rod, should I go 3 sizes up on the reel?
