I moved to nyc when I was 17 and as I did a lot of acting growing up, I have a much more “neutral North American” accent than my family, but every time after I visit them it totally comes back
Trust me you don't wanna come up to Canada aeh, the truth is we live in igloos and ride polar bears to work. Why just the other day while butchering a caribou out back and chugging 190 proof maple syrup (evermaple) a polar bear attacked me, thankfully I was in my lumber jack attire and my mighty red plaid shirt was like an armor with all the ice encrusted on it and I manage to slay the beast with a giant icicle that was hanging from my fancy modern rectangular wood shed where I make all my hockey sticks. This one time I even saw a strange contraption with 2 skis on the front of it and a piece of spinning animal hide underneath of it and on the side it said ski-doo, it terrified me didnt leave my igloo for days. It moved like nothing Ive ever seen it was so swift, I believe it may have been aliens, but don't tell anyone aeh, anyway I gotta go ill be oout'n'aboot all day so Im gonna put on my toque and get to timmies before the coffee freezes up.......
+Driver2900 what are you talking about Canadian stereotypes are the best and they resemble us Newfies perfectly maybe not some of the city slickers but still
I am a Canadian who has lived in Australia for 40 years and loved this; even if there's a few errors. There are many quirks and aspects of Canadians and and this reminds why Canadians are such great people and why I always cheer for Canada at any international sporting event. And love my maple syrup.
seastar81 you can order any number you want, the boxes usually come in the 10, 20, 40 but they do have an individual prices so if you want 12 you can get 12 lol
Don't understand why my fellow canadians are getting so upset over the accent?... First of all we have a SICK accents and we differentiate from american accents... and we have british roots that's why we kinda sound british & he exaggerates it a little bit BUT... YES some canadians talk like that and YES if you are a true canadian you do all those things in the video. Be proud we live in the best place in the world!
Because they are too dumb to realize that people don't hear their own accents so they are assuming they don't have one. They also don't realize how big the country is apparently, since a country of our size would obviously have accents which vary. I'm sure they could pick out a Texas accent vs a Boston accent, they're just ignorant about their own country. Not to mention this video is meant to be funny and exaggerated.
Oh Canada. Our home and native land. True patriot love in all thy sons command. With glowing hearts we see thee rise, the true north strong and free. From far and wide, oh Canada we stand on guard for thee. God keep our land, glorious and free. Oh Canada we stand on guard for thee. Oh Canada we stand on guard for thee! Our national anthem everybody.
I'm Canadian and love this. It only pertains to 10% of us, but that whole bit of saying sorry to the people that bump in to you is 100% true. absolute riot.
Depends on where you go, but even the closest accent isn't quite like that. As someone who grew up near where people talk with the accent (and consequently have a bit of it) I can tell you that no, we do not say oot or aboot, but we do say the ou sound in words differently. Check out the Out For a Rip video if you wanna hear the actual Canadian accent that so many people misinterpret lol
Is that a moose? Looks like a moose. Looks like a moose. Could be a deer, though. Mmm, look at the antlers. That's a moose. Yup. That's a moose. Oh, that's a moose. Could be a moose. Might be a deer, though.
I'm from Saskatchewan and for those of you saying Canadians don't talk like this, you've obviously never been here. I've never noticed our accent until people started pointing it out and I can confirm most people from this region of Canada have this sound to them.
The Alpha620 ooohh fuck ya well tear it up bud but don't forget your toque (tuke) or you will will freeze, maybe I can I bring my old caar and we can just giv'er till she blows

ElBarto3131 It's due to the popularity of Coca-Cola. It's essentially the default soft drink and as such, it is the reason why it is asked for most frequently and audibly. Pepsi is often seen as an "outsider" beverage (especially close to hubs like Atlanta) and as such is referred to as a "coke" when ordering cola, both in the way "kleenex" means tissue, and (in some cases) as a subtle form of protest in some (diehard) individuals.

Over here laughing, I'm Canadian and why do people think this is offensive- I find it funny that people think we talk like this here (as most of us don't)
As a Canadian, I can say that while I did hear Canadians speaking like this, I can also say that it's not that frequent that you'd hear someone talking like that in Toronto. In fact, just search up Toronto Guy Cody, that's the more accurate version of how people from Toronto speak
I'm a Canadian and this was pretty hilarious. I'm sure the guy knows this isn't actually what Canadian's are like. Stop taking it so seriously😂 Come on we're Canadians let's show them we can laugh.
Do people realize this is a joke? I'm Canadian and I don't find this remotely offensive, it's funny.
I'm Canadian and I'm so triggered 😠
Oh lighten up, it's just a joke. Can't be patriotic without poking fun at your country's stereotypes.

As a Canadian, I can say that while I did hear Canadians speaking like this, I can also say that it's not that frequent that you'd hear someone talking like that in Toronto. In fact, just search up Toronto Guy Cody, that's the more accurate version of how people from Toronto speak
SYRUP, CANADIAN TIRE, SQUIRREL!! , TIMBITS and I say Sorry alot 😂
