I used to listen to this Waiata which used to start " Te Reo O te Pipiwharauroa" the first Maori programme on National rdaio played at 5.30pm Sundays in the mid 1970's. This was many years before Maori Radio or Maori TV was even thought about . The Kaumatua spoke real Maori not the fake Maori peope speak today.
