Probably the most troll duo boss From has made yet (seriously, they accounted for everything except a glitch that makes the sleep strategy work) but hey, the music is great!
It actually annoys me that one of the better osts in the game has such ridiculous looking boss's. To me, this piece sounds like resolve and duty. It belongs to a proud warrior who follows his code to the bitter end. Heroic to those that share his belief but a horror to those that would challenge him. I know that kind of describes the Godskin but they just look goofy. Not even the good goofy, like onionbro or smough. More like Frampt or Kaathes face kinda goofy.
Honestly, I find them uncanny more than anything. They are literally covered in flesh. Like, their clothing is just layers and layers of flesh. That’s horrific when you stop to think about it
If You think about it gods in elden ring tend to be pretty terrible. Takers cameo describes how the way of the gods is to take things by force, the treatment of the albannurics, misbegotten and omen and the butt load of wars again the mages, fire giants, stormking and eachother kinda show that gods in this universe aren't really good. Because of the power they possess they can do whatever they want without any consequences. While the godskins apostles and nobles are pretty fucked up they did probably fulfil a role in dealing with the power hungry gods at least before destined death was sealed. From the point of view of the godskins they are heroes because they cull the gods which tend to cause problems for most mortals.
