  • Chemical pollution is a threat to global health and environment on the same scale as climate change - chemists are key to the scientific, policy and societal changes needed to protect the earth and save millions of lives.
The SPP-CWP is destined to be an international panel of scientists and policymakers, similar to the Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) and the Intergovernmental Platform for Biodiversity and Ecosystems Services (IPBES).
Here, Camilla Alexander-White ((25) Camilla Alexander-White | LinkedIn), RSC Lead Policy Adviser for chemicals policy and Stephanie Metzger ((25) Stephanie Metzger | LinkedIn), RSC Policy Advisor, Sustainable Chemicals, discuss how the RSC has positively influenced work to establish the SPP-CWP and their hopes for 2024 and beyond.
