Ampero sounds good and has a nice UI and lots of features and FX, the only thing I don't like about it is the latency. As it's about 6ms, once you add another digital unit, wireless system(s) for in-ears or your guitar, and the latency of a digital mixer, you start being too aware of the latency and it's harder to play. Great video, Daniel!
Great review! How does the Ampero Mini sound with your separate mod effects even without an effects loop? That's one of my concerns before pulling the trigger on an Ampero Mini. Thank you!
That’s a great point! Personally, I have my favourite drives/fuzzes that I like to use because I can’t find the same sounding drives and fuzzes in the Ampero. Pedals like the EHX Memory Boy and Boss CH-1 I could absolutely just use for the Ampero for, but to be honest the reason I keep those on the board is simply I like having them in the board 🤷♂️ no logical answer, I just like them!
Hi! I bought a second hand Ampero Mini, and I'm waiting for it to come. I pretend to use it for the same finish that you comment here. In my little pedalboard for 4 pedals, I want to solve the reverbs, delay and trems. So....I hope it works well and the workflow it's great with my analog drives!!! 😅 What do you think about the sound quality of reverbs and delays in this unit? Do they feel warm and alive?
Do you feel a loss of volume with the ampero connected compared to if you had the pedals going straight to the amp? How do you use the volume of the patch and the physical knob? Everything at maximum?
Hi, Thank you for the nice video! Just bought one and I’m gonna place the mini after my wah, overdrive, distortion pedal. How do you think about it preamp sound quality if I connect it to my amp’s return and disengage the cab simulator.
I tried this recently and most amps sound great, others sound a bit meh, I was using a low wattage tube amp though, I think if you had more headroom it would make all the difference

Thats a fair point that I hadn't considered. Good to keep in mind!
That’s the comment I was looking for as I don’t like too much latency on these type of units & the reason I’m still using a GT1000. Thanks for that 😊
Superb ! I just ordered one!

I think they work really well together!
Great! But why not replace everything with the Ampero?

@@danieljdtaylor Thank you - what do you think of the Ampero drives?
@@deanandthebeans857 they’re great, if you get your drive sounds from standard pedals like tube screamers, distortion+, bluesbreaker, etc they great

The delays and reverbs sound great! They’ll cover that ground in any situation, especially once put in a mix

I did at first, you have to set up patch volumes and master volumes via the knob on the top to get unity gain
Is it possible to turn the amp modeler off/disable and use the effects only on this unit?
Yes
Yes, this video demonstrates that actually
Thank you!

Can you explain the loopi
That is an external footswitch to turn an effect on and off in the Ampero
I have this lil bad ass pedal on my board and it replaces a lot of pedals
It is also designed for bass player?
Yes there are many bass amps, cabinets and effects modelled in this pedal, they sound pretty good too!
Can the ampero receive stereo in?
I’m actually not sure! I’m sure that info is available on their website somewhere :)
Muitp bom o video mano
Thank you mate!
Can you run your synths through this? All demos I've seen are guitar-based. Thanks.
I don’t have any synths myself but I imagine you could for sure!
