EAEA is a flamenco lullaby. Éa éa is an onomatopoeia that Spanish mothers do to calm their children while they are crying. The song tells the story of a mother who wants to be buried in the moon when she dies to see her child every night except one (the new moon day). The red strings of the staging are very typical in the Spanish flamenco costumes. Also the song has references to the poems of Federico Garcia Lorca, one of the most important poets of Spain. This is the most Spanish entry we ever had and we are so proud of her
Blanca Paloma's song is a play, a performance made to be represented and with the staging it makes sense, using Spanish (Lorca) but also universal symbolic references. It is an invocation, a call, a song to what makes us feel safe and strong at the same time, which makes us enter a hypnotic trance. She relates it to her grandmother, to that maternal thing that takes care of us and protects us. The red strings that hang down and that she already explained reminded her of her grandmother's shawl, form a circle that is like a maternal womb that gives us light and nourishes us. She goes through that uterus that is fertilized (this is how I understand those hands that surround her and hold her for a few seconds). Then the miracle of life is done. The moon is the symbol of the feminine, which engenders, nourishes and makes it grow. It is present every night except when it goes out on a new moon. During the performance, the sound “ea, ea” is repeated loudly and rhythmically, which is the lullaby that mothers sing to children when they are afraid, when they cry, to reassure them and give them strength. Nothing bad is going to happen... The dancers also imitate the movement of the arms that they cradle spasmodically. It looks like a sway of waves... Because the sea also lulls and transforms with the phases of the moon and is the quintessential feminine element. The base that sounds below the telluric song and the allusions to the heartbeat complete the visual and sound elements of the set. This song is a song to celebrate life and a work of art. Win or not, it will not leave anyone indifferent and it will be difficult to forget.
Gracias
Thanks so much for your words to Blanca and your love to Spain. It moves me when I see people from other countries cherishing our culture and art... 😍🇪🇸❤️
Blown away in such a wonderfull way, those Emotions get deep skin, vibes of something so espiritual and extreme beauty. Its wonderfull see reactions of people although dont get the líric they just felt so touch , sheding even tears. It reach Hearts and thats what high quality voice, music and this performance full of symbolism provokes, so many good vibes. A return to the past, something genuine and pure. 😍❤️😊👍🇪🇦🌹
It is a typical Spanish lullaby taken to the top. You'll be on the moon, but there will always be a night for the two of us, there's nothing and no one that can separate us because the moon is always there, and you're there.
Ea ea is not an onomatopeia, it is an interjeccion. An onomatopeia supply the thing or the animal, for example "kikiriki" (the sound of a roaster). Ea ea is a interjeccion as in spanish other words: "caramba!", "ole", "recorcholis" etc.
AAAHHH Y RECORDAD QUE ESTE AÑO SE PUEDE VOTAR POR Blanca Paloma DESDE TODOS LOS PAISES DEL MUNDO, NO SOLO DE LOS PAISES PARTICIPANTES DE EUROPA. ASI QUE YA SABEIS . ¡A VOTAR POR ELLA EEHH! 😃 AHHH AND REMEMBER THAT THIS YEAR YOU CAN VOTE FOR Blanca Paloma FROM ALL THE COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD, NOT ONLY FROM THE PARTICIPATING COUNTRIES OF EUROPE. So Angelical, and espiritual I have seen your reaction several times together to others else Who have same way moved like you, like blanca did to all of us here in Spain and its worthy to think how to bring this song to Eurovision, its not a risky but a gift, a gift for heart and soul. Your reaction explain It all. 🙂🌹no more words are needed. ❤️🇪🇦😊👍💃
Here you will find a complete explanation in English of the spanish song, translation of the lyrics, staging and history. ruclips.net/video/1NL_n_RCNbs/видео.html
Es como decir :come on

Thank you for your explanation! Thank to such comments I just get more and more!
Thanks from spain ❤ don’t forget voting to spain the 13 of May we really apreciate it ❤🇪🇸🏆🇪🇸
Your reaction was incredible, we Spanish people love that the proposal is liked outside of Spain, thanks from Spain
Thank you for this support! I wish everything the best to Blanca! She deserves it 💕

You'll be over the moon, but there will always be a night for the two of you.
Ode to matriarchy and ancestors, and reminds of "Romance de la Luna" (Romance of the Moon) by the spanish poet Federico García Lorca.
