Is an app available for a Windows PC, I'm not crazy about the idea of using my phone, however it may be something that I'd like to do. Currently I have a very old P-Touch 2100. The main reason I'm considering the CUBE is the different sizes of labels. Mine only has one small size, but I do like using the software on my PC.
Yes you can use the ptouch software on pc but you will have to plug in the usb cable. The cube will not work with Bluetooth on computer.
Just hate that these printers waste pieces of tape! Adding up all the pieces of wasted tape is a significant percentage of the tape roll! Gotta be another way...
hand cut them like she mentioned
Something she didn't show is if you're printing multiple labels you can make it only waste tape on the last one. This works even if you are using different designs or changing the text between printing.
By design, don't hate the player
These are laminated papers. It needs to pull some paper out before lamination starts. Its the case with Epson machines as well. Hopefully there will be better technology soon.
Is it USB c port yet or still micro USB port?
I see a micro USB!!
It's crazy that they haven't updated the port.
If this was the USB-C I’d be on it, 99% of my devices are on the current single USB compliant-C . Too bad the printer seems to be a must buy
Can you use your phone as a hotspot? The internet WiFi pw at school is protected and they do not give it out.
That's it? I thought it can do more than just labeling container?
You can use it to label whatever you want. I personally need it to label my classroom library.
I don’t get the point of having this when for the same price you can get a full laser printer and just feed it label sheets when you want to print labels!
TZe tape is laminated, brightly coloured, incredibly durable. resists fading, scuffing, water, chemicals. It comes out pre-cut to the exact length required for the task. The labels stick to just about anything and can be peeled off many surfaces without damage. The TZe printers are small enough to sit on your desk permanently or take in your toolbox/craft supplies bag/field service kit, so you can go from "I need a label" to "I have labelled this item" in seconds. Some people don't need any of this, some people need all of it.
It's the process of then doing it on your computer that seems difficult to me. I get that there are ways of doing it on Canva and I don't know what other websites but then adjusting the size and everything is what has me very confused. I'm willing to spend money to not have to go through that trouble.
Laser labels have their place. But they are not laminated like P-touch tapes, and thus not as durable. And with laser labels you always need to print an entire sheet at a time - running a sheet through the printer more than once risks labels detaching from the backing inside the printer, which can ruin the printer. So printing individual labels is _extremely_ wasteful.
I am more concerned that you have to label the jars, when the contents are clearly visible!
Have you lived with roomates that never have cooked anything in their life or a partner that is particular about what type of oatmeal you have? Trust me labelling helps with sanity and weirdos asking us a bajillion times whats in the pantry 😂😂😂
Don’t knock it until you try it😅
I suppose it’s useful when the container is empty as you can read the label and know what it should be filled with
What a terrible design to waste that little strip.
Way too complicated for me.
selecting a template and pressing print is too complicated?
Brother ptouch printer sucks. First use and cartridge jams. Prints multiple copies of your label. then it prints empty labels. DO NOT BUY.
