EVERYTHING?? Not really. He never mentions the maximum label width (or any other width) it can print, which is 0.94" (24 mm). He also fails to mention it only takes the newer TZe tape and not the original TZ. I could go on...
You can bypass any design limitations by creating your label design in whatever pro design software you have on your PC and then save as a PDF or PNG to import into the P Touch Editor app. For example, the app doesn't let you free rotate objects. In basic cases this isn't necessary, but if you're doing something a little more advanced, designing in the app is not your best bet.
Hi Matt good review, i use this for my label for LEGO part Box. But i have an issue, do you know if there is a way to avoid the first 1 inch cut before printing on p-touch editor program ? i try to find a solution, no clues actually how to do it. it's such a waste of tape.
I also found this issue extremely annoying. The only way that I have found to avoid it is by chain printing. That way it still wastes a little tape on the first print but saves tape over all. To get the last item out that you printed you will need to turn off chain printing and print as normal. I hope this helps.😊
Can you do cable wire wraps? Usually this requires rotating folts perpendicular and duplicating the tag on 4 lines or so. Many of the professional labelers have this feature built in.
The app shown in this video can't do cable wraps. P-Touch Editor can generate cable wraps. For reasons known only to Brother, their Pro Label Tool app doesn't support this printer 🙄 @mattbaierorganizing what you've described is a cable flag, not a cable wrap. There is a template in Design&Print to do proper-ish cable flags where the text repeats on both sides of the flag.
What exactly can this do that you cannot do with a normal laser printer? For the price, I can get a full laser printer and just feed it label sheets when I occasionally need to.
If you only use labels occasionally, then you probably don’t need a product like this. One advantage is that the P-touch labels are laminated so they are more durable. Also, it does offer the unique option of being able to print white type on a clear label, which is a popular choice on clear Lucite pantry bins
2022 and micro USB? Micro USB?? MICRO USB????! Bad thing repeat 3 times. i will not replace my 19 years old labeler just because of this stupid micro USB. **** Sorry just checked, this is 2018 product, so micro USB not yet completely extinct at that time. P300 & P710 are Micro USB, P910 is Type-C.
The P-Touch labelers can last a long time. Glad you are happy with yours. The P-Touch Cube really only makes sense if you are printing a high volume of labels in a short amount of time,
Ooooo…I’m a manicurist and I am always replacing labels that wear off bottles of products over time. I love the creative options. Are the cartridges in a similar price range as the old Brother labels. The last ones I purchased were $27. 🙄 I might invest in the more affordable version I’m sure there would be enough options. Thank you
Yes, you just hit the return button and your next text will show up on the line below in a smaller size so that it fits. For larger type on two (or more) lines, you would simply need to use a wider tape.
Yes, you can! Instead of pressing the under arrow that you would find on a standard P-touch label maker, you just press the "return" key on your cell phone's keyboard.
Thanks for the video. This label maker looks good for constant use in a business like yours and just a little too expensive for occasional home use - especially since my 20 year old P Touch still works great. Then again, if it ever breaks, I’ll reconsider.
Wow! You are organized! You said EVERYTHING about this label maker in six minutes! I want one!

How do I stop the printer from going to sleep?
Great review with efficiency. I appreciated this a lot!
Thanks. Glad it was helpful!

Yep, annoying! 12 prints and ur missing a foot. Smart marketing tho. Post if u find anything

Even your iPhone home screen is organized by colour 😂
You noticed;-) It may not seem logical, but it actually does help me find apps easier.
Does this also print heat shrinkable labels like the Brother PT550?
I was not aware of this feature on any P touch, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t. Better check with the manufacturer on that one.
Can you do cable wire wraps? Usually this requires rotating folts perpendicular and duplicating the tag on 4 lines or so. Many of the professional labelers have this feature built in.
Yes, you can align the text to the right and then extend the length of the label to cover the length of the text.

What type of usb?

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟EXCELLENT; thank you! 👏🏻👏🏻😊
You’re Welcome!
Thanks for the video, Matt! I am crazy for labels but, like David, I still have my 22-year-old Brother P Touch!

My Father does not type very well. Can he speak into the devise and print out a label?
Since all the text entry is in your smart phone, not the device itself, you can absolutely use voice command to type.
Thank you for this fantastic review
Can it print more than one line, like say for an address?
Yes, you just hit the return button and your next text will show up on the line below in a smaller size so that it fits. For larger type on two (or more) lines, you would simply need to use a wider tape.
Thanks for the video! Greetings from the Netherlands! :)
My pleasure Amrit. Hello Netherlands!
Can I enter text and have it automatically wrap that text over two or three lines? Anybody?
Yes, you can! Instead of pressing the under arrow that you would find on a standard P-touch label maker, you just press the "return" key on your cell phone's keyboard.
how about FROM Computer ???
I’m not sure if I understand your question. Do you mean how about printing labels from the computer instead of from this product?
Thanks for the video. This label maker looks good for constant use in a business like yours and just a little too expensive for occasional home use - especially since my 20 year old P Touch still works great. Then again, if it ever breaks, I’ll reconsider.
No point in replacing what works great! Thanks for the comment.
Thanks for the review. Helpful. Just to confirm, I expect Brother is sponsoring you as an influencer....correct?
Actually, no. Glad you found it helpful.

@@MattBaierOrganizing Nice. Always adds to the credibility. I am going to get a P-touch
Who ever labels anything the same way twice? I know they are faffing snacks. I don't need a label for the obvious.
I use it on my MAC, much better, and you can type easier...
Im trying to use my MAC but can't get the font to stop resetting to 43 which is way too big. I need to find a workaround for that!
Brother ptouch printer sucks. First use and cartridge jams. Prints multiple copies of your label. then it prints empty labels. DO NOT BUY.
You need to put the model number, battery type, whether it comes with an adapter, and which interfaces it has.
Nobody really cares about the fonts.
