The comments are full of people having a pop at the Germans, but considering they’ve not been a country all that long and been to Paris 3 times, shook the world twice fighting on two fronts, been split in two for a few decades after being turned to rubble before becoming a leading economic power in the world at the heart of the biggest economic bloc in the world. I think they’re worthy of respect as people and a country given their achievements (I’m not talking about the politics and the genocide, lord knows we’ve done our fair share). They’ve learnt from the mistakes of the past and have put it behind them, I know I’d much rather have Germany as an ally than a foe that’s for sure, at least you know they’ll always turn up on time for war 😜

**Germans and British Soldiers working together**
87 year olds : wait, what ?
Ironically, the British and the Germans were always on friendly terms until 1914.
In WW1, most British and German soldiers lacked an understanding of why they were suddenly enemies.
Their monarchs were related to each other, both were ancestors of the Saxons and they both weren't really fond of France.
Britain was happy to have a unified Germany as a counterweight to French dominance on continental Europe.
One century with its two World Wars ruined the good relation Britain and Germany had for 500 years prior.
I worked in Hamburg and for Lufthansa. Highly qualified professional organisation. The people I worked with were the best I have ever worked with. Total dedication to getting it right. An honour.
I think it's nice that allies are helping each other like this.

Actually they're the majority. a lot of people seem unaware that the British and Prussians were huge allies and how the English are Germanic like the East Frankians (modern Germans) Even the Nazis didn't want a war with the English saying they weren't natural enemies because they're effectively the same people and historical allies.

I wouldn't get offended by it, it's usually normal as long as it isn't taken too far. It's kind of endearment.
In the army cadets we always bashed other cadet branches (verbally. 70% behind their backs and 30% to their faces.) We were even encouraged to by the adult instructors but also to "respect colours" or in other words make sure the bashing is fundamentally good natured and not taken too far. (Actual hostility to other cadets)
What's the story. I served in a NATO unit for two and a half years. My boss Oberhauptfeldwebel Mike HANS, great guy. Quarter of the platoon were Stuff and unterfeldwebels, some of the nicest people I have ever met and who I would trust with my back without hesitation! Great memories, love to see them all again.

I think there were German and British regiments in the Napoleonic times and before that. Also there were regiments which consisted of German soldiers but its leaders and officers were English. So all this training nowadays with German and British troops together is not new at all but it is an old custom!

There is that one video in which a German D-Day veteran meets a British one.
In the interview the German said that he thought Germany should‘ve made peace with the allies an concentrated on the eastern front. He thought the Soviets were the real enemy… Seems like this view was mutual among the ranks.

+Joe Turner
He is a black beret so odds are he was in the heavy metal mob.
It's a mixed Tank and Panzer grenadier division along with artillery and other support troops, indeed it's called "Panther"
Jonathan Sell sorry no but no. There are 3 Divisions in the Bundeswehr, 1ste Panzerdivsion, 10te Panzerdivision and Division Schnelle Kraefte. Or in English "1st Armoured Division", "10th Armoured Division" and "Division Fast Forces." There is no "1st Panther Division" in the German army. There isn't even a Brigade that has the moniker "Panther" in the German Army, not that it matters: Herr Laubenthal is wearing the insignia of a Generalmajor, a man of that rank does not Command a Brigade, and in British Army nomenculture the term "GOC" refers to a commander of a Division.
This all stands to reason, given that the blokes are from the Jagtbattalion which is subordinate to the 41ste Panzergrenadier Brigade (also *not* called "Panther" although sometimes referred to as "Vorpommern"), which in turn is part of the 1st *Panzer* Division.
When the US bails out, these guys have to work side by side or cease to exist. No other options.
The tank crew should check the exhaust system. I guess, there is something wrong. 😂😉
Nothing is wrong. They are making the smoke screen on purpose to conceal attacking troops as they are providing a fire support to them. And to conceal themselves too.
