I would like to sit right next to you and be the guy telling the directions so it becomes even more realistic lol
Driving gloves? The brother is legit!! haha
+Hipster Doofus Yeah, driving gloves and driving socks. Just like the pros. LOL!
It's for the steering wheel. It keeps the actual texture from being damaged
+Adi Bakhshi We know. It's just how over the top they are with it, while in the meantime completely being unprepared if you look under the table. You got racing gloves, wow, cool, what about shoes? Oh you got socks... Well....
I'd like to see an Aussie version of the instructor.
"Left, small swoopy. Fang a right. Gun it. Big right swoopy. Slow the fuck down. Chuck a u-banga."
Great job, dude. Defs interested in gaving a go at this.
is that a reference?
Spanky Jeffro im cryin of laughter here man,
RIGHT SWOOPY, CRIKEY A HAIRPIN LEFT GOVERNOR GOD SAVE THE QUEEN
This may have been the coolest footage i have ever seen of a video game i have never been so intrigued and impressed with gameplay amaze-balls
awesome set up. i really like how u edit the video to make it look like ur RL wheel is in the game world. (cant wait for this game to come out. (do you think the early version is worth the cost)
+broburga bro i want your exact set up.can you share your chair and wheel standing?
+broburga Dude, what set up is it?? It's awesome
thrustmaster t500rs wheel
That camera setup is the most incredible thing iv'e seen on youtube all month. Congrats! :)
Great timing with the gear changes. Now, most Americans will be looking at your gearstick saying 'what is that'? :O
during those hairpins you need to tap e brake and use the torque to get out of the turn without spinning...shaves 1 sec easy
T500RS + TH8A... Some serious cash flow there. Also the S. Flicks. +++ Good work m8.
Just bought the game. Next will be my steering and pedals set up. Damn I'm looking forward to this game. Great vids!
EDIT: I have been buying a vid card and new mobo... to do just this.
How the hell can you go so fast.. u're amazing D:
+MiKeZee its km/h lol
+GamingPRODIGY83 i mean.. the way he turns, the way he drives..
+MiKeZee He's got driving gloves on. It give +6 to driving and +2 to grip. Obviously...
assists
Malapropify:
:-D :-D
which quest / NPC or beast gives these gloves? i need them!
those slow turns bothers me lol
Excellent video my friend!! The way you edited was hilarious. What video edit program you used?
*check this out* plus.google.com/113635630315196803801/posts/fkPCM4BKBs8?authuser=3
Man, Really nice drive.
Driving manual with a clutch is real man.
OMG!!! that sound is bang on.
Co-driving sound is very realistic love it
Great work. Very good rally driver indeed even with the Gloves. Love the editing of the 3 Different views (Pedal and Gear shift and Steering wheel. Keep Up!! :)
You got SOO lucky on many occasions in that second stage. I thought you were gone at some moments during the stage but nevertheless, AWESOME DRIVING!
this is the ultimate rally experience, i have this game but need a good wheel and chair
Ok this is my dream! with VR!
Just picked up the game for free!
Nice me too on humble bundle I like it a lot as its my first dirt game i guess
when it turn on the pc i'll add you on steam ;)
it's just my impression or sometimes infos are given too much soon?
You're a natural at this game and it really does suit your driving style as well. Cheers :)
TheFutbolchamp Yes he is a nice driver but in the 180º turns i think he brakes more than necessary imo.
Dimas Matos Im sure he knows he can do better but this game is insanely difficult from what I've seen and if you compare his performance to others on youtube you'll see how good he is
***** oh ok i understand now, but you're a very good driver :D
Driving lesson completed *proud*
Das Ding isn Kracher. Herrliche Physik meiner Meinung.
My favorite thing is how he shuts the fuck up and lets me watch the game without hearing a British guy talk 24/7
dude you should race a real rally, nice driving skills btw
really good job bro !!!! very very quick on changing gears !!!
You need an ebrake man! If not, learn how to throw the weight around so that you enter a corner sideways, and have it easier when exiting the corner. If not you'll always understeer into a corner.
+broburga Oh i saw that, what a weird position! But i notice you don't use it when in difficult situations, like the huge understeer in the hairpin. I think its because of reachability issues, or maybe the weird pulling motion.
I need more of this!!!! Awesome video! :)
Yay!
Wow! Very nice driving
Why are you inactive! D: Your videos started to get so much entertaining!
***** Wow that's cool! Good luck man!! :) In my opinion you don't need an outro just use a simple one cause the only thing that matters is how good your content is! :)
I love your setup man, are you ever going to play City Car Driving ever again? Or did you give up on that?
*****
Ah okay man, I sorta did the same thing :P
Awesome race!
Amazing!
Why not use the sequential shifter that come with the TH8A? (Although, I do understand that driving a normal stick and clutch is much more fun)
Little tip for you if want to shave off even more time, use left foot braking. Youl be faster round any corners ;)
Man, this looks good. How's the physics compared to Richard Burns Rally?
I'm really sceptical every time a new sim is coming. Just this Audi movement doesn't look like I saw in groupB videos, I don't know... you don't even have to heel-toe, or use left foot breaking to keep car in the curve... I don't understand this.
Nice Job Man greetings from Venezuela :)
i must say you are Epic when you driving:D
Is that a T300rs GT edition? Just started playing Dirt Rally with my T300rs i got for christmas, it's hard but so much fun!
I need to buy and try that audi nice video
That was sick bro!
i was going to make fun of your gloves and pj's and god damn socks, but hey, you are playin very well.
great rally game, hairpins are really hard. need to practice more. :)
cool das es welche haben 7 Monate vor relis echt cool
+DragonChucky wie au immer zum kotzen ist es trotzdem
Nice! I've been wanting to buy this game on steam but, I need a fairly budget steering wheel and pedals. Got any recommendations?
+Broburga Wow nice setup! I have a similar PC setup, but no steering wheel. I was wondering...What kind of controller would be good for this game as I cannot afford your setup yet. Steam Controller? Or Xbox Controller? Nice driving too!
Use xbox or PS controller! (My ps3 controller works great til i get a wheel.)
How many FPS are you getting on your PC with the settings turned all the way up? I'm looking to build a cheap(ish) PC that can run this game at at least 60FPS, preferably more, on Ultra.
By the way, you're an awesome driver... haha
It looks like you don't need a clutch for this game
Set speed to 0.25 and go to 0:52
You shifted before stepping on the clutch.
Probably out of sync. If it's set to manual with clutch you can't shift unless you hit the clutch.
You don't need the clutch to shift into neutral. He started the shift before hiting the clutch, but by the time he moved into third gear he was already pressing the clutch. Remember that the longer you press the clutch for the less controll you have over the car
wow! fantastic idea!
A tip is to not touch the brake you just let off the accelerator and press the clutch and change gear and as soon as possible accelerate
nice man you are good driving..:D ENJOY
Riktigt nice set-up du har!! Jag hade ngt liknande tidigare faktiskt...
This looks soooo good! Awesome vid!
Nice driving! congrat!!
Really enjoyed this video man! Keep it up :)
One thing I dont get is why ppl are driving with the H-Shifter? Is it to make it more "hardcore"?
Hi nice driving, Stability control off and traction control off too?
nice driving. :)
hi, do you have tutorial on how to setup wheel (g27 if can) to get the most realistic feel for dirt rally
You are a master mate!
Wow cool driving man!!!!
good performance ! i use the same wheel , but i cant make a good setting , can someone help me please ? wich value of feedback you use ?
Im gettin my logitech driving force gt tomorrow. Is the force feedback fixed in this game now?
can you recomend me some good setup that you use now?
That's the Acropolis Rally, right? Do you consider it to be difficult, BroBurga?
***** once i get this game up and running (need few parts for pc) i'll do a little time check with you! :D
***** Practice is the key of this game. I'm riding the E30 M3 now in career, rode the Escort before, and you really need so much practice just to keep the cars on the road :D :D Especially in professional mode!
nice! good race
this dude can drive
Oh man... I want all of this.
You'd think that people who put all the money and time into these setups would be the ones playing the game like a sim from the helmet cam. I guess I'm the only one who plays the sim like that.
Is this game any good without the steering wheel controller?
What angle do you use in wheel control panel? Also what ffb (gain) settings in TM app?
Does your car ever jump out of gear? I have shortened my TH8RS the throw is much shorter meaning a quicker change :)
could you show your settings of force feedback and steering?
Whats better to buy:
Dirt 4 or dirt rally ?
I will surely use your videos to learn (AT LAST!) when to brake before turns lol. You do not use handbrake or am I blind?
Haano the handbrake is the right pedal :)
I will have to look it up then :>
Hey, I'm watching you race, and it looks like you don't use the breaks unless you're coming up on a hair-pin.. wondering if you're doing this for a reason. I played a lot of Richard Burns Rally, and the physics in that game required me to be left-foot breaking to keep the weight to the front and allow the car to turn. Are the physics not the same in Dirt Rally? (I'm wondering if it's worth picking up. i was planning on just getting back into RBR like i always do until i saw there was a new rally game released this year.)
***** actually, i just googled Dirt Rally physics, and the internet answered my question for me. I guess the impression i got from watching you race was spot on. If I were you, I'd check out Richard Burns Rally if you wanna try a rally racing game. the physics are phenomenal, despite the old school graphics.. it's too bad, a new rally game with good graphics that manages to incorporate a physics engine comparable to RBR (which has been around for 20 years or so) would be an excellent title that would probably snowball into a massively popular title with a huge fan-base that would keep the game alive for years to come.. why doesn't a gaming company pay it's employee to take the RBR engine and steal it's physics into a newer engine somehow.. or just upgrade the engine that's already there to make for better graphics.. tsk tsk, codemasters. there's already a phenomenal physics engine out there, why don't you realize that every difference between yours and RBR's is bad? perhaps they can just tweak this game to make the physics mirror RBR's, because it looks like they made an immersive simulator at-least..
+Ryan Ward So I'm new to racing games. I can def tell in Project Cars that I get more turn-in response when I hit the brakes; that gives me some idea of what you're talking about, I think. The effect is also there in Dirt Rally but far less present. I have to believe that 10 years (and a bigger production budget?) would enable someone like Codemasters to make a far more detailed product. Given that their team has blogged about their various field trips, their love of rally, and their commitment to realism, then anything that falls absurdly out of the known spectrum of real car responses must be a design choice for marketability? I mean, their PR material is describing how they're getting input as well as positive responses from actual rally drivers. What we don't know is if the pro drivers are saying, "Hey, this is plenty of close-enough simcade fun and it promotes what we love," or "I'd actually train off-season on this."
Dirt Rally isn't made to be moddable, but there's a Realism mod on Race Department with a sub-mod for different (more realistic) physics. It's only current up through version 0.5, so not currently playable for me at version .71.
But closer to home, there are some game-generic sliders for different car settings. Maybe if you bias the brakes considerably, change suspension stiffness, etc. you'd achieve some of what you're looking for. I was massively understeering with the FW '60s MINI Cooper, but then I adjusted brake bias and decreased toe-in so negatively that my car must be pigeon-toed. :D But I got rid of a lot of the understeer.
Re: the physics engine from RBR, I'm hard-pressed to believe the base engine could be better. As I said above, I think it's got to be a stylistic/marketing decision to take this more modern and detailed game engine, but tone down the difficulty. Also, given the string of purchases and bankruptcies around that property, I doubt that is an easily feasible task, and not one to be easily marketed to a broad enough audience to really make money.
+Ryan Ward Also, some 3rd person perspectives:
"Plus I've asked some actual rally drivers as Bernardo Sousa from WRC2 category about is opinion regarding Dirt as he was a former racer in RBR and is answer was very clear: 'Very gooood, at this stage Dirt it's much more real then RBR'."

scandinavia flick, dude!
Where do you get the steering wheel and gear shifter stuff?
Is this like a new game from dirt
Henry Caron Yes it is! and im super exited, i've allways wanted another Collin Mcrae like game from them with their gameengine and gamemaking skills! much like the old Colin McRae games!
Yup I can't wait for american truck simulator
I was almost gonna say: 'OMGBBQ, what tv/monitor is that? WTF no bezels!!!'
Nice :D
Amazing! great video and great game, i want buy it, but i need better PC¬¬
hay man i love you gameing you need to do online and compete with others
like like bravo bravo!!!!
I have a logitech dfgt and when I steer, the sensitivity is higher than yours so the smallest movements turn the car on 5 and 6 corners. Do you know which setting changes the "sensitivity" of the wheel? Sorry if its obvious im new to the whole wheel thing.
'Spicy after a year of trying to set up my Logitech I finally just broke the cd with a hammer and moved on. The slight lag in the wheel was too much so good luck and maby keep saturation low.
Need to youse your handbrake on the hairpins.
Negative. Countersteering is all you need to whip around the hairpins.
+TheGermanXWig countersteer is what you do to correct oversteer, fastest way to initiate oversteer is either handbrake or scandi flick. I assume the driver is more into circuit racing.
***** True that.
@brogurga
man i wonder one thing, how u set up manual ? becuz i dont see any options... just sequential...
yes.. was hard.. not used to it, becuz games usualy have on options.. that was my why!
thanks Burga :)
hello, your force feedback settings pls?
Is there a stick shift for this set up?
its kinda old but what steering wheel set up is this?
broburg what wheel stand is that?
What u using for handbrake?
Co-driver never changes the page?
Do you use 900* rotation?
-Why he doesn't make he Heel toe technique?
-Well, arcade games doesn't need it btw
Do you drive in a playseat
i know its a game but its still bad ass
what is name of your staring wheel
Nice but remove all assist and the hud then thats some skill.
how do you install the h shifter in the game with clutch?? Could you tell me pls (i have a g25 wheel with the h shifter and i really want to have the full experience so..)???
luis utilitarios its in the game preferances...gear shifting... choose through them until you find H-pattern with clutch
thanks bro
