Fantastic episode your choices of artwork/posters are beautiful. I will be glad when these lockdowns are over and can go places. things you take for granted like travelling on the London Tube network.. I will never complain again about the crowds and heat you get when travelling. I miss it. thank you fantastic four.for making Saturday evenings something to look forward too.
That’s so kind. I guarantee we’ll always moan about the crowds....but we might generously give a wry smile after we’ve moaned from now on. The things we miss we might just grow to love....
The underground has a great history of using some fantastic art, and it’s great to get an insight into this. The art combined with the design of stations, moquette, font and maps really highlights the care put into so many elements.
Laura so good to see you in 3D instead of just on Zoom; I really enjoyed your lively segment of the tour of the poster room (thanks Alex for your catch phrase been practising it driving people, crazy with it) . I was surprised that there was no mention of Rex Whistler in the show. His posters, one for the Tate Gallery & the other for the London Museum mirror the fantastic murals which he painted for the Tate Museum restaurant.
Loving the series, you lot are brilliant as always but the other night I was catching up on missed episodes and a question arisen in my head, bearing in mind it was 2am at this point so this is quite a half asleep question, How on earth do they get vehicles in and out of the Transport Museum
I agree, you fabulous people should make a visit to Chicago’s L system someday. Can they handle the gut-bombing of Chicago deep dish? That’s the real question!
I actually did look into sending a box of Portillo Chicago dogs and all the trimmings for a Christmas gift for the 4; too dicey in lockdown. But we’ll get it sent eventually.
Hi, there. Hope you are well. My son is autistic 9 years old and he loves trains, specially the underground. He is an intelligent artist and poet. Any chance you could help to publish his poem? Ive been in touch with tv channels and London transport museum.... We are still waiting for the reply. Please contact us in our channel TGF. Have a good day x
Catching up with the hangouts. Just a lovely group of knowledgeable people
Love that poster combo with the merry-go-round and unicorn..

We’ll revisit that art store sometime. Tate was in the poster episode but it’s iconic, true!
the way to describe these posters is like a story in a moment a snap shot of what could be...,
Hi team, such a great episode, loving the beautiful posters, so missing the underground as i live in Dorset so can't travel.
Hi all, from across snowy pond
I think the oldest lifts on the underground are at bank wadsworth lifts
I'd love to see you do an episode on Toronto's TTC. It is one of the last cities with a legacy "streetcar" (tram) system in addition to its subway.
❤️❤️

I love you. Not just for being so nice but also for your brilliant question. But mostly for your insta name. Priceless x
@@alexgrundon2346 thank you sir, seeing this really put a smile on me face
I’ll ask the team in this week’s episode and you’ll get a mention!
We’ll give you a mention this week and answer your question. Tune in on Saturday!
Alex was your pick of artwork foreshadowing a future episode on maps? I was only just thinking the other day that you guys haven’t covered them yet!
Surely are! We’d love to

Yes yes yes, come to Chicago!

@@Hannahtheredhead2454 Yeah, we need to send them a box of American snack foods!
