Hey guys, Kevin here. My apologies about the messy shop. Its something we are working on changing in the near future. We are in the middle of organizing and boxing up parts in the back of the shop as well as being very busy with customer deadlines. We have outgrown this shop space with projects, tooling, and parts.
Kevin did some work on my car a while back. This guy does good work. As far as the shop being dirty I really couldn't care less. Einstein once said "If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?"
I'm sorry but turn 5 should have never shown how unorganized and clutered there shop is..I've work in a lot of shops and when there cluttered and you have parts just piled everywhere you WILL LOSE AND DAMAGE customers parts..bro your a fab shop and every step you take is calculated to not trip over dead engine blocks,Trans clutches, bash bars ,your shop looks like a hoarder went crazy
I've built bumpers/rock sliders with the tools I have but not a full cage (yet), even buying everything second hand its still pretty damn expensive. I have about 2k into just the essentials. Tube bender Angle grinder Watercooled TIG welder If you want to build them in a timely manner, you would also want a tube notcher, belt sander and a plasma torch.
This guy's got a cool shop. My buddy worked at a famous old-school race shop and told me about every single one of these tools, so it's nice to see them in action. Not to mention it took them 30 years to develop their system and Kevin already seems wise beyond his years lol On your cage discussion, what do you think about something like CageKits if you have the tools/ability to install? I saw an example of one in a BMW on Chelsea's page and it looks legit for the cost!
Bro cage kits is as good as you can possibly get. They 3d scan the car interior with a $50k 3d scanner. Only way it's not gonna fit right is if the car being scanned is not square.
Id like to have a Drift project to build up. Though it is expensive, I still want to build a Drift-Spec vehicle and I would use an 05-06 Infiniti G35 Coupe or Sedan (Rwd/6-Speed Manual)
why you don't want to build your own cage, unless you do... The fun of the freedom of the US is that you can build and learn. obviously that means you have to study and learn, plenty of books out there on welding and cage design. Don't just build a cage blind and think it will pass tech. lol
@@thekevinsoucie OHHH OKAY that makes more sense. I though it was all those welders for you. That makes a lot more sense since there multiple people. Also thanks for taking time and responding!
Everyone complaining about the shop being messy should post a picture of there shop and no your moms garage doesn’t count . A messy shop? big deal it can be cleaned up .
Yes, it can be cleaned up, but will it? A messy shop makes it harder to find tools, and as a customer you are charged an hourly labor rate. I wouldn't want to be charged half an hour of labor while dude tries to find a tool!
Having worked in a fab shop for almost 10 years, this dudes shop is a fucking nightmare!
lmao i was going to comment about it, this man needs more storage shelves/space
Forreal

this doesnt sound like a meme
Sometimes a messy shop makes more money than a shiny clean one
I work at a machine with similar equipment and plus a few water jet machine's. It can be a hassle to keep areas clean and accessible
Dont worry man, you got tools and make cool shit! Fuck the haters with their clean garage and harbor freight tools.
thanks for taking the time to make this video!
Kevin did my cage 2-3 years ago on my 370z. Love it and still have most of my interior 👍
im sure he does a nice job but that shop needs some serious organization and a good tidy up
THIS VLOGS GIVING me severe ANXIETY DUDE!!!! Dude CLEAN YOUR SHOP! That place could be sooo RAD!!!
I had to pause the video cuz im about to panic. what a mess
Someone with OCD is having a panic attack watching this.
I'm having palpitations. Send me the address and I'll be there with a shop vac and broom ASAP.
This guy coulda been using the Bridgeport as a tubing notcher for YEARS…..
and manual machines labor rate isn't anywhere near $400 an hour anywhere. lol

These guys are fantastic! I had my drift e36 painted gloss black here and it came out amazing
The number of times he said ‘nope never used it’ made me chuckle.
Kevin seems very humble
These tools are freaking epic! Totally put an app in for drift week 5 hoping I make the cut!!!!
So these are the tools what other youtubers have for their "DIY at home" videos 😂
These guys aren't diy at home kind of these are professional
Dammmmmmn. If the fab work looks like that shop. IM GOOD, I would rather do it myself.

Seems like a good dude but man I couldn't work in that mess
Thank You for this video. Eye opener.

Tube bender
Angle grinder
Watercooled TIG welder

you don't "need" a watercooled tig. Unless your trying to make money with it.
What’s this?
Do you use it?
Next!
Do a box do a box!!
Aaron remind me to my toddler!!
😂
It’s funny seeing him talk bout that shear and how big and heavier than a car when I use one 3x as big at my job on the daily 😂 ours will do 1/2 easy.
you really out here measuring shear size😂😂 let the man talk about it lo. at least he owns his👀
@@tylergrantom9103 I didn’t measure the thing lmao but that’s fine my guy. I might not own it but I run it and make my boss plenty of money with it 😂
I know nothing about nothing, this videos for me!
I'm thinking about just doing a cage kits setup in my is300. Custom door bars though.

nothing will ever fit better than cagekits. if you have a welder and skill youll have the best cage money can buy
Bro cage kits is as good as you can possibly get. They 3d scan the car interior with a $50k 3d scanner. Only way it's not gonna fit right is if the car being scanned is not square.
Great interview
Woohoo new video 🙌

Rip Aaron's lense 🤣🤣😭
Oh me how do u move about and find things 🤔 couldn’t work in that tripping over things mostly sr 😂🤷🏻♂️
Time to sell some tool yo!
Its all paid for and doesnt hurt to have. The moment I sell something is the moment I'll end up needing it 😭
Would never take my car or order parts from a shop that is trashed and disorganized like this one.
Thanks big bro !!
This is goals

Damn all those welders much be expensive. Wouldn’t it be cheaper to have a “high class” movable welder?
Most fab shops usually have a variety of welders.
@@nzuncovered1845 I know but they have like 2-3 he made it sound like there was way more
@@kevinortizvanegas9921 we have a total of 6 welders at the shop. 3 mig and 3 tig. Some days we have 3 people on 3 separate machines welding

Brake shear not stomp shear
It’s literally a stomp shear. You stomp on it to shear. A brake, is to bend materials.
@@Cricketbuilds oh yeah you are right I'm dumb lol
Stop saying 240SX bro! Say s13 or s14 s15.
Aaron is just rude AF and doesn't care about peoples stuff when they invite him in. He was stepping all over homies stuff. Smfh
