Imam Abu Hanifah had many teachers some of whom have said he was that he was the most knowledgeable man of their time. They gave him the title Imam a'zam I.e a great Imam.
What an insightful talk, Alhamdulillah. I remember when Sheikh used to give talks after Maghrib at Birmingham Central mosque. It's astounding to me that it's been 10+ years.
In Islam we should not hide good knowledge..My grandfather used to celebrate it, but we have learned, through scholars that Milad did not start until the British took over the rule in India just over a century ago. That's why I asked WHEN & WHERE?? IF it is good knowledge then allow all to share this so we can all benefit. Please be well mannered,as you have been with me, as our prophet PBUH did say the "The beauty of Islam is that we refrain from obscene talk and actions."
for your information Milaad is the rememberance of blessed events that took place when the Prophet of Allah (Peace and Blessings Be Upon him) was born. Quran: "The peace is on Him the day when he was born and the day when he will die and the day when he will be raised alive." ( Holy Quran, Sura Al-Maryam, Verse 15)
I ventured to find out where the Noor was coming from and I came to know that the Noor was that of the angels who are sent to such gatherings and I saw the Light of the angels and the Light of Mercy together.
Also brother sometimes looking for the truth we have to realise it no matter where it comes from!! It is like the Neo Salafi telling us after salah making dua with the congregation was NOT done by our prophet or the sahaba or the tabee.It was done later and no matter how much I dislike their attitude I have to concede to the truth no matter how much of a Hanafi or Deowbandi, or Tablghi I think I am. The truth is the truth!! May ALLAH accept us and guide us to making and keeping him happy..

Shah Abdul Haq Muhaddis Dehlvi (Rahmatullah Alaih) writes, “In this incident there is clear proof for the celebration of Milad Shareef and that those who are happy and spend in the celebration of Milad Shareef then indeed they will be in a laudable position, because if a kaafir such as Abu Lahab received a gift for showing happiness at the birth of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) then greater by immeasurable extent will be the reward for Muslims who do likewise
it proves that before the najdi take over in makkah milaad was done. not only pakistani, indians do milaad but all cultures do it. arab scholars such as the great Sayyid Muhammad Alawi al maliki (Rahmatullah Alaih) used to do milaad in abundance to which the najdi bin baaz try refuting.

WHERE & WHEN?? thus the entire Arab African Chinese Indonesian Muslims have nothing to do with this, therefore we should ask ourselves why should we? Ie.. give me some written proof of the day when this celebration started, as the closer to the prophets PBUH lifetime it will stand you with better proof..or is it just an INDIAN PAKISTANI Berelvi tradition?

Yes he was a good man and may Allah forgive him and grant him jannah, I to am not the greatest fan of Bin Baaz, BUT what was the out come?? It was not proof, but why are you Bin Baaz agreeing in doing xyz when there is no proof of the prophet PBUH or Sahaba R.A. or Tabee doing this??
