How to remove the runner ,raiser and excess metal deposited at joint.?.because in railway tracks need good surface finished joint...can u explain plz

After proper cooling, flask is removed from the joint.
After removing the flask, machining is done to remove the welding burr or other extra metal.

Flask means the total crucible is removed.. n then machining is done..
