I used to work for a company called orgo thermit inc I worked there for 21 years before they went back overseas

I’m positive a large Metabo angle grinder or a worm drive circular saw with a slicer blade would make a cleaner and square cut much more than a torch and you’d be ready to go as soon as you were done slicing.

Good point. I guess cutting with torch is faster and when working on rail they have limited time.
