Did you enable expo for this? im getting 4070 and 7800x3d and was wondering what to do as soon as i install them? i heard juust enabling expo for ram is the best thing
@@ryancopeland7217 there is o option expo that have few options - auto, expo I, expo II... mine is on auto by default . the only one i changed was DRAM Frenquency from 4800 to 6000mhz. all of it without touching on expo settings. i hope i was clear now
for what i know the 9800X3D have around 5/8% performance increase over the 7800X3D but with the cost of more power consumption in CS2 and if you are playing at 1280x960 you will lose some performance only in heavy scenarios with smokes,mollys/nades (like inferno banana). will depend on what resolution and settings you play. but, try to watch some benchmarks with the 7800x3d and the 4070 super and look for the GPU usage to see if the 4070 super never goes over 90% usage... over that number and with the spikes of usage is when the 4070 super its on limit and you are no longer cpu bound.
do you still get the same frame times in DM currently? several updates have pushed since you recorded this so i’m curious because i’m on a very similar build but about double your frame times.
like, on this kinda of setup i dont notice to much difference in avg fps but after all updates i feel the game running better. setups where you see better the game improvements will the the setups who struggle to get 400 + fps.
@@FocusGamlng nvm im legit retarded and didn't realize in-game telemetry for frame time shows a really weird and "wrong" average. downloaded RTSS to compare 1:1 with you and even on a 4070S (thought this might somehow influence frame times) my frame times are identical to yours.
@@caden2727 what you see is cs2 on cpu bound... in other words, the gpu is to powerful and is like on sleeping mode :D nothing wrong with bottleneck when your game runs smooth with this fps and no stutters.

Why do you use 144 when you have the budget to use 4090? If you are going to use 144, you don't need 4090 to play games.

@@FocusGamlng Even on a 32 inch screen, there is no visible difference between 4k and 1440p and this means getting unnecessary low fps. high fps 1440p is always better than low fps 4k. If we put the RDR2 image in 1440p and 4k resolution, you will not notice any difference, Mr. unnecessary.

i did not enable expo for set the ram to 6000 MHz... on bios i did change only DRAM Frenquency to 6000mhz
